I'd bought a pair of training shoes here before (Brooks Ghost), but now that I'm getting more into running I wanted something to use for speed work. I came in on a busy Saturday morning and was helped by a very enthusiastic woman. She brought out a few pairs for me to try for fit and on the treadmill. I settled on a pair of New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer v2's and I'm excited to start using them on faster tempo runs. After choosing the shoes, she recommended some socks and encouraged me to try some track running with Santa Cruz Track Club. Overall a great experience with excellent customer service.

I usually buy my running gear online because I didn’t know we had such a good store around here. I was getting ready to run my first half marathon and decided last minute to try some arm warmers. After a quick search I found Santa Cruz running Company.

They were super nice and patient with me. You know how newbies can ask silly questions. I got out of the store with the arm warmers and totally pumped to run even more.

The most kindest customer service I've ever encountered in my life and I'm not exaggerating. My parents have came in before so they brought me to get new running shoes, I'm learning how to run and a beginner so i was a bit nervous but the owners were so welcoming and helpful ! They made us feel like family, and they made sure i had the best shoe for me. I'm so happy with my new shoes, I've never had comfortable shoes before like these. 10/10 recommend you to come in for work shoes , walking, jogging, and running shoes !

Wow. This place is exactly what my feet needed and Tim could not have been more knowledgeable or helpful. Prices were absolutely appropriate and affordable. No need to order online with such a great shoe store in the neighborhood.

Fantastic customer service from Heidi and Jackson. I visited today as a total beginner and the team took their time to do a scan of my feet, explain the outcome and make a number of recommendations. They were patient and took time to answer all my questions. I had my energetic 3 year old with me and they were great with him too. Highly recommend a visit

Had a great experience at the store being helped by Jackson. As a newbie I had no clue what I was looking for outside of color but the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly that after trying on like 7-9 pairs of shoes I found the one that worked best for my goals. Definitely will be back.

They always have great customer service here. They are friendly and make it a goal to get you into the best pair of shoes based on your individual needs. They do foot scans and go over the results, what it means and the best type of shoe based on those results.

I have been looking for a quality shoe for quite some time and was recommended this fine establishment by a co-worker. The owner Tim was resting on the back bench with an injury from a run, while his son Jackson was helping a customer with their foot scanning machine. Tim and his son were both very friendly and they helped me find a great Nike shoe which I am overjoyed with! These guys are the people that our community strives on and i would suggest anyone looking for a quality shoe to at least go and visit for the welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer service. Tim and Jason are the best! They are friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel like family when you come in. They know how to handle multiple customers at once and make you feel like you are the only one they are helping. Their selection is top notch and have their pulse on all the newest products! I've been shopping there for years and will never go anywhere else!

Heidi was soooo amazing! She was personable, sweet, smart and comforting! I came in with plantar fasciitis and she was able to find me the right shoes using their scanner and looking at my feet. She went an extra step further by giving me roller exercises that were so relieving in the store! Plus care techniques. Love her. Love this store! Thank you

I had such a positive experience here! I'm new to running and the crew was super helpful in finding me a pair of shoes. They evaluated my gait, asked me about my running habits, and brought out a bunch of pairs to try. I don't feel like there was a huge mark up on the pair I bought. There's plenty here beyond shoes - socks, sports bras, clothing... you can nerd out here. Great all around!

I visited this store to buy a pair of supportive trail hiking shoes for my adult daughter. The staff listened carefully to her needs and came up with shoes she is just delighted with and were within my budget. I came to Santa Cruz Running Company for the first time today and was blown away with their help and level of expertise. I am getting back into distance running and they helped me correct my arch with special inserts. They are a small family owned business and made me feel welcomed, motivated and informed. Best place to go for running shoes for sure. They have an awesome machine that scans your foot and helps tell you what shoe will be perfect for you, only takes 5 min! Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and of course, best running shoes! LOVE my new shoes, thanks guys!

Just getting back into running, so I came here to get some shoes. The staff was knowledgeable and clearly all active runners. They were able to answer all of my questions, and get me in the right pair of shoes. I had been running in an old pair of tennis shoes, and these shoes made a huge difference. I've never run more than 5k, but I put my awesome new shoes on right in the store and stepped outside and ran my first marathon! 5 stars, would recommend.
