For the price I love the food at Da Sichuan restaurant. I think some of the negative reviews are not taking into account the price range of the food (and tempering their expectations accordingly). I like their lamb dish and enjoyed their braised egg plant. The portion size is moderate. Service is nice and parking is at the back so it’s easy to drive to

The one of the best of the best Chinese cuisine in the heart of Palo Alto. I loved the old authentic taste of Chinese food here, the spices they used and the sauce they used to prepare it give you finger licking good taste and makes you to come over and over here. That's the reason my mom is dying fan of only this restaurant and never eat from other Chinese restaurant!!! Customer service is very good, very friendly and fast with the service typically 10 - 15 mins for waiting services to dine-in. They have Chinese beer 🍺 good taste, loved all the cold appetizers here...

This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in all of Silicon Valley. I’ve lived here for over a decade and I have to say this is one of main go to places for a great meal.

From traditional Chinese American cuisine to more exotic interesting dishes like their Lamb Sour Cabbage Soup or their Boiled fish.

This is my favorite sichuan restaurant. The food is really delicious, and the flavors are quite authentic. They do have Americanized dishes, but I’ve never ordered those. Their numbing spice (mala) flavor is excellent, it’s quite hot although not unbearably so.

They have a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options. Particularly of note are the vegan variants of classic sichuan dishes, such as dandan noodles and twice cooked pork.

Besides those two, some other of my favorite dishes of theirs are the chuanbei liangfen, garlic eggplant, Manchurian chicken.

I also have nothing bad to say about the service, the waitress has always been very welcoming and quite funny whenever I’ve visited.

This place has great authentic Sichuan cooking. The decorations are not much to see but the place is clean, food is good and the prices are fair. (Cash only)

For as good as the food was, and as nice as the staff was I was sad to see that I was the only person there. The food was incredible, not crazy salty or with a single overwhelming flavor. The staff members I saw were very hospitable and kind. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend

Great food. Liked the flavor and texture. We ordered shredded potatoes, eggplant and spicy fish fillet. Really like the sauce of spicy fish. Shredded potatoes were light and crunchy like a less starchy potato salad. Eggplant was okay... little sweet for my taste .

Classic szechuan cooking. One of the very free Chinese places I enjoy eating at. The food is very tasty. We got the set hot pot and the tofu on a bed of chilies. If you love authentic spicy Chinese cooking you are going to love this place

Awesome Sichuan food. Enjoy it for more than 10 years

Do not read the misleading reviews of this place. By far the best Chinese takeout experience I’ve ever had. The fact that we waited 45 minutes to eat our meal when we arrived home and the food was still fresh, told me everything I needed to know. This place takes immense pride in the freshness of their ingredients and as someone who has a high standard for food I could not appreciate that enough. This is my first time in the Bay Area and quite frankly for the price, authenticity, and overall food experience nothing came close to this place.

No frills, no fuss sichuan food. Authentic spice too, just make sure you ask for the spiciest hot sauce if you want the heat!

I've been going here for years, and I love this place. The Manchurian Chicken is crispy and delightful, spicy but not excessive, and the owners treat us like family. I also recommend the dry string beans.
