Karla did a spectacular Job! She took care of my overgrown hair and cleaned it up to look really nice. Her pricing is very generous especially in a city like Santa Cruz. Overall she is a charismatic and skillful barber!

Karla is a wonderful lady, very friendly, and gives awesome custom haircuts. She understood my hair type and paid attention to small details. She also gave me a bunch of hair braces to try different styles, she’s very generous. I’ll definitely recommend anyone to give this place a try.

Carla is a very kind woman who knows what she is doing. She gave me a great haircut and is very experienced with hair. She will give you the cut you want, but also provides helpful suggestions to make it better.

The owner, who personally attended to me, was incredibly nice and accommodating. I appreciated their warm welcome and the friendly atmosphere.

Carla expertly sculpted my challenging hair and the result was--truly--THE BEST HAIRCUT I’VE EVER HAD. I have extremely straight, fine, and thick hair--very hard to layer into the bowl cuts and pixies that I love. Without the money to spend at a high end salon, I’ve just come to accept a level of choppiness. Well no more! I thought the haircut was great halfway through, but she made it perfect--even staying at it past closing. I also appreciated that she explained to me why she was using certain techniques based on my hair type and desired style. She is an artist that takes pride in her craft. She is a warm, funny, and multifaceted person and I had a lot of fun talking to her, too. I love that she promotes her fine art and hair styling together. She even sent me home with some complimentary bulbs from her other business--a plant nursery. She’s amazing! Can’t recommend stopping by Cali Barber enough.

Cali knows what she's doing; she cuts your hair by the way your hair flows and has at least a 90% success rate, she's done this for years, and I mean years. Cali is also really good at art, every single piece of art is beautiful and has a lot of time and passion put into them. But besides that, Cali is a good person with a good mindset; she is a giving person. During my most recent visit, I was sad over a break up, but Cali gave me the best advice ever and treated me to lunch. I am grateful to her for helping me out during this difficult. I went in for a hair trim and ended up dancing Cumbia with the stylist. Karla is an amazing individual, she embraces each customer with her energy and love for what she does. She displays her art around the salon, so in essence you get a haircut inside a gallery. It’s a place like no other. I ended up with a really classy haircut. I highly recommend this place!
