This is a great park in Almaden. It's pretty shaded so good park to hit up when it's a hot day, even if there is not a water feature. Two separate playgrounds, one for the older and younger kids, although the one for the Littles is pretty big and holds my older kids attention. Bathroom is generally clean and there's also a big grassy area to play on as well. This park is next to a baseball field as well as a private day school. However it's a bit off the main road so it's often not too crowded.

Nice path, walked a couple miles from Almaden Lake. Was not crowded like the lake gets.

Park has fun playgrounds for kids of all ages. The 2-5 year old play area is nicely enclosed from the street and my 2 & 4 year old don't want to leave. Can get busy because of little league but I always seem to find parking. I appreciate the proximity to Los Alamitos creek trail which allow parents to get a nice walk.

Greystone Park is like a portal to another dimension. A place that's always shady on a hot day. Playgrounds to the east and west. Shaded eating areas make the perfect stage and ground for a child's birthday party and there have been many birthday parties at this park in the past. And there will be any more in the future. So much birth celebration in this special place.

In the mornings the finch birds pick for food underneath the redwood trees.

And in the evenings sometimes you'll see a barn owl hooting beneath the old lamp post. An owman to the future travelers of this place.

There's also bathrooms that are publicly available. And they're cleaned at reasonable intervals. Not a lot of parks can meet the standard surprisingly.

The park is also right off a major bike path so carbon neutral transportation is possible.

Perfect place for a Saturday afternoon picnic.

Only nearby park with shade on both a 2-5 and 5+ year old play structures, which is a must in the summer. Clean bathrooms (by public park standards) and a nearby walking/biking trail.

Great playground(s). The best thing about this park is the shade provided most of the day by large Redwoods and Ponderosa Pines.

One playground is partially fenced in for toddlers; odd that there is a gate to get in but fence only surrounds 50% of play space. Though the fence is definitely meant to keep the wild ones from darting for the street you will have to keep a close eye on the escape routes.

The playground for older kids - 5 and up (though 3+ will find it entertaining) is much bigger and although less shaded it is far more so than others in the area .

There are 2 baseball fields and a batting cage as well as a large but lumpy and sloped grassy area. Parking is plentiful on the street, very close to the equipment. We have never seen the park very crowded and many times have the entire playset to ourselves.

Great park with two separate playgrounds: one for younger kids and one for older kids. This park has plenty of shade, so it’s great for hot summer days. It also has public rest rooms.

A hidden gem in San Jose, Almaden Valley. Easily accessible with bikes, cars and trails. One can have a bike ride from Almaden lake park to Graystone and can relax in this park. Most shaded park I have seen in the entire San Jose.

Good old Greystone Park, the go to kids party spot. Now don't get me wrong by kids I mean under 12. There are a good number of tables, plus the shade of lovely old oak trees. You can BBQ or have it catered, both work and are equally acceptable. The kids have a large grassy area to run around in, plus a park with slides and swings. I think it has been a go to for my good friends who have a whole bunch of birthdays. The only thing you might have to do in order to use this great space is get there around 8ish and have someone who is just so kind as to wait and hold the tables.

I am so Greatful for all the parks in our area but especially we enjoy the kids surrounding play area with robust trees, pic nic tables. My two younger kids have such great time every time we come.

Fantastic playground for the kids. My kids had a blast. There was a baseball game going on at the Dimond and you could hardly find any parking around.

Good park with large trees providing shade on the park itself, this is good because the park doesn't get hot in summer.
