A friend recommended Lori's Half Price Mattress. I had never heard of it, and was happy to know there was a local mattress store I could go to in Sebastopol. My mom and I made an appointment with Lori to try out mattresses in her showroom. She was super helpful in finding the best mattress for what I needed. I was tired of a foam mattress that was hurting my back, and was surprised and happy to know most of her mattresses were not foam. The store is very clean and has a variety of quality mattresses to choose from. Lori was upfront, honest, and on the ball. After testing out a bunch of mattresses in the store, we ended up buying a Hughes PT Pleasant Queen mattress. Lori DELIVERED the mattress to my doorstep in her truck-- even helping to carry in the mattress to my home herself the same day for no extra charge. Fantastic service and product. We were happy to be able to support her local business, and highly recommend it to others.

The owner Lori is so kind and really is there to make sure you find the mattress that is right for you. I have had one of her mattresses for 6 years and it's still so comfortable! I only just bought another one because I left that one at my moms house for when I visit.

I was shopping for a "mattress upgrade" for my 16-year-old son, who has been sleeping on a too-short twin bed for years, and I always prefer to shop locally at small businesses if possible. Fortunately, Lori's Half-Price Mattress came up in a web search, and I called the number right away. Lori met us at her conveniently located showroom in downtown Sebastopol, where she also maintains a small warehouse so that she can provide in-stock items for same-day delivery when possible. She was helpful and attentive, and she had a lot of helpful advice for finding my son the best mattress for his needs. She also has a policy of recommending affordable mattresses before moving on to higher-priced items, so she is clearly very honest and interested in helping her customers. I have already recommended Lori to friends in the area.

Just moved from Colorado and my furniture was destroyed by the driver who delivered our stuff, so I went to Lori's and bought a mattress and box spring for my son's room. It was fast, convenient, and reasonable. She'll was even willing to stay open upast her normal hours just to meet with me . Great customer service!

I just discovered Lori's Mattresses after having spent a few nights online doing a mattress search, a trip to Costco only to discover that what I was looking for wasn't in stock, and a pressing need to purchase an extra bed in very little time. I have been driving past this place since it opened, WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT. This small, woman-owned business is totally geared toward SERVICING the customer, without any attempt at up-selling. Not only did Lori have great options ON HAND, but after a very uncomplicated sale, she herself DELIVERED the mattress, box spring, and stand, about two hours later-- even helping to carry all pieces UP STAIRS to assemble, which she ALSO did with zero extra charge. That's one hard-working woman-- and yes, I tipped her for her kindness, her hard work, and her service. I strongly recommend this local business to anyone who is bed-shopping!

I bought a queen size Hughes pillow top mattress for the guest bedroom. It is very comfortable (I slept in it one night to try it out) and our guests have commented on how cozy it is as well. I am pleased with my purchase.

I suffer from a neck injury and went through 3 mattresses in less than a year trying to get comfortable. I finally bought a mattress from Lori a few months ago. Best decision I ever made. Just as she promised, my mattress feels the same today as the day I bought it, no pits or lumps. I can finally get some sleep for the first time in a couple years. Also as promised, there was no chemically smell or gassing off period, like I experienced with my other mattresses. My 7 year old has always slept in his own bed, but now I can't get him out of mine! He say's it's too comfortable. Looks like I will have to buy my son a bed from Lori now too.

Lori has quite a following in the Sebastopol area. People come from Marin and further north because of her great prices. Our experience was great. Lori was helpful in the store and the delivery was on time and efficient.

Bought 4 mattresses from Lori. Happy to support local a business but those mattresses did NOT last. Very sad. Sitting in a different mattress store, as I write this, buying new beds.
