Nothing better after a walk on the beach…5pm, looks like a great place abandons is playing in the outdoor sitting area but I go straight to the indoor bar area and order a glass of wine, then order a fish plate with mashed potatoes, all great but then then owner came by and asked if every good, well that’s it, perfecto I said. Really good)

Outdoor seating was nice, there are several overhead heaters. They have a great variety of items on their menu. Our server was very attentive. It sits right on the beach.enjoy.

The food was very good. We shared a ceviche and had the catch of the day and grilled calamari. We were out with our puppy lab (13 months) and sat on the patio. The service was very friendly and efficient. Oh, I almost forgot. The coconut cheesecake was delicious.

Back to being excellent!! This place had different ownership for awhile and sucked, but it's back to the old menu and great quality! Get the sand dabs or clams if you like seafood. The burger (only available for lunch) is excellent. Friendly service and neighborhood feel.

As a local I've seen ups and down at Cafe Rio...last night was perfect! Every employee was pleasant, courteous and very helpful. ..our server (Emily) was professional, attentive, personable and just plain lovely!!! Food was fresh, not over seasoned and REALLY GOOD 🐷👍most of all everything was quality...i could tell that management cares...didn't feel touristy at all...hurray...a great night.

I love that this place is dog friendly, I sat outside with our baby and pup. Food was excellent as always. The waiter that helped us was young and enthusiastic. He was great. Will be back

My husband and I love this place when we go to Aptos for our vacation from Sacramento. They have thee best ahi tuna appetizer. I always get the linguini and clams and he always gets the special of the day and after many many visits we've never been disappointed! ! Prices are high but the food is amazing and the dining experience is wonderful!

Great food and service! Very friendly staff! Good experience every time. Blackened shrimp was amazing! They do live music sometimes too.

Our family has been going to Cafe Rio for 20 years. We stay at a local beach house up the street and walk to the Rio. Food and drinks never disappoint! Occasional live music for a twist!

Great place and amazing food!went at like 4pm and it wasn't packed really nice in front of the beach. The staff was amazing and patient. Highly recommend this place.

Great food, (we tried the gluten free pasta, salmon, crab cakes, and house salad) and great live music. Really good gluten-free pasta with vegetables. Friendly and helpful service.

Great food. The specials are off the hook. I would steer most away from the calamari, it's good but very small portion for your money. A must visit.

Long time favorite. Patio is dog friendly and has Monday- Thursday specials. Ahi appetizer is special. Like their swordfish, too.

Very nice, yet still casual restaurant. Good specials on certain days. Worth giving a try if thinking about it.
