🌸We love stopping at Deluxe Foods of Aptos for lunch at the deli! They have a huge selection of cold drinks, locally made fare all with friendly service! Their selection of plants and seasonal flowers as you walk in gets me every time! 🌸

Great for all your shopping needs. Always fresh and a great selection of local goods. The staff are super helpful and always remember you.

The meat department is fantastic. The filet steaks are far better than safeway! I always get meat at Deluxe. The store is not as big as other grocery stores but they have everything you might need. Very conveniently located to Rio Del Mar area. I like the quality of the produce. They carry a lot of unique smaller brands in a variety of different items that I cannot find anywhere else. This is my go to grocery store. I only go to safeway for certain items I cannot find here. I rarely have to wait in line because they are WELL STAFFED!

Stephanie at the deli is very professional and always welcoming with a positive attitude. That lady deserves a raise.

Deluxe is such a great market. The staff here is really friendly and helpful. They have fantastic seasonal fruits which are quite often locally grown. The meat counter is great too with nice quality meats and the house made sausages which I can’t get enough of. The North African and the Thai are so damn tasty! Its an all around great balance of specialty items plus the staple I need and the junk my kids want. Deluxe is the best!

Nice place, friendly staff, nice fresh meat, have a lot of stuff you can't find elsewhere. A little more pricey but quite happy with them. Mike...the manager has done a great job making special orders for me. Plus...you can tell they treat the staff well. Right before Christmas Mike closed an hour early to take everyone to a Christmas party! I got there just before and they still made sure I was able to get what I needed! It gives you the feeling of family.

If I have to add a negative...it would be that they only give Senior discounts once a month.

This place has really impressed me so far. I have only been here twice. I usually wait longer than that to post a review of a grocery store, but this place is exceptional. The food bar is really next level, so high quality in ingredients and preparation. I plan to keep trying different items and will post updates.

Deluxe has been around longer than I have, which is over 30 years easy. In that time its always been good, and changed for the better.
On average prices are higher, but products are also higher quality and often local.
Notable: the butcher department is excellent, their premarinaded cuts are top notch. I cook a lot and I trust them. Good wine selection. Good breads. The deli has always been a great sandwich. Also they have vegetated, so, bonus points!

Favorite place to shop every year when my husband and I are on vacation. It's the "must" go to between the meat counter, bakery, flowers, cheeses and more! They have cool unique things and a really good variety of bread from local bakeries and their own. Staff is always super friendly and helpful! We always load up on stuff too on the last day to take home!!

The area seems safe while the store is open.

Little Pricey But Nice Local Grocery Store In Aptos

Visiting SC from Sacramento area and my friend took me to Deluxe. The store isn't huge, but it's got a wonderful mix of standard and more uncommon items for sale. There produce looked amazing as well as their fresh meat department. So many kabobs to choose from!

I've been looking for a delicious potato salad for those times that I don't want to go through the trouble of making it myself. I've tried at least nine locally with no luck. We were at Deluxe just before closing so I only found two small containers, and without being able to try it, I took the plunge (my friend said just do and got them both.

I'm so glad I did!!! It's DELICIOUS!!!! Totally what I was looking for! With the exception of it being 3 hours away lololol.

I can wait to go back and try more things :)

Best produce, fresh meats, award winning wines and outstanding customer service. Best little grocery store in South Santa Cruz

This is a wonderful market, though small. Produce is excellent, meat/fish counter is top-notch, and they have a wonderful gourmet cheese selection. There are always plenty of checkers and you can get out fast. Only bad news is that is is more expensive than say Nob Hill or Safeway but you get what you pay for.

I have enjoyed buying specialty food items at Deluxe foods of Aptos for the past 23 years. Is this review I want to talk about my excellent experience with the bakery department. During the pandemic getting a good birthday cake has been difficult. So I decided to give Deluxe Foods a try. I asked for a rich, moist, dense triple-layer chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream inside and out. The result (see pic) looks very good and was delicious. The price was very reasonable. I also ordered some muffins. They make real muffins: not overly sweet nor cakey. As an ex-New Yorker, I was in heaven eating one of their corn muffins.

Top of the line produce, superlative meat, compulsively fresh seafood, comprehensive deli, broad international foods, sharp wine and beer selection, and super friendly staff. Competitive prices. My wife's favorite store, which is a high praise.

Love this high end grocery store. Great deli salads, made for you sandwiches. Nice bakery great cookies. Has a Pete's coffee inside. Also a great wine selection many local. Oh and fresh sushi too

De Luxe is one of those old-school high-end family-run supermarkets. Excellent meat, fish and produce. Good wines (and there’s an excellent liquor store next door, too).

Very interesting and wide selection of hot food in the deli, a Peet's Coffee in-store, and even a selection of live succulents and cacti out front. All of that, attached to a very well-stocked grocery store. I was pretty impressed, and will likely stop through anytime I'm passing through the area. The deli alone makes it worthwhile.
