Safeway

I am not sure why this Safeway is rated so low (3.8) because the butchers (all 3) were fantastic when we were just there. The customer attention and willingness to help was as good, or better, than many of the higher end markets I have been to. What a great team!! I will return.

Although a little small, they’ve got at least one of everything!
Parking is tricky at times, but you’re able to get in and out fairly quickly. Full deli, meat, bakery sections in store.
My go-to place when staying in RDM!

The best place, nice employees, no snobbish peeps at this Safeway. Good stock fast checkers, super nice checkers. Easy to find employees when you can't find someone to help r short people that can't reach top shelves.

Great Safeway live close by very friendly people.

Super clean. And friendly. Still cleaning the belts before each customer. Workers switching off on the register even clean before they start using the register. Let people know over the intercom that the self checkout line was open and no one in it when lines started to build up. All in all fave safeway in the county.

The only issue might be with this Safeway is they don't have quite enough parking.... Outside of that the store is great good layout as always good prices and this one has a gas station.... So if you have your Safeway reward points built up you can save up to a dollar on their gas which is amazing because they already have some of the lowest gas in town.

I ordered an Oreo icecream cake at the bakery dept and it turned out perfect. Several years ago.
Today the guy that works out at the gas station was very kind and went above and beyond for me. Excellent customer service

Great deli. Bought sandwiches one day and chicken strips with a side salad the next day. We are staying in a hotel nearby and it was great to have a place to buy snacks/food. There's a Starbucks inside!

Everything under the sun and it's good quality. the customer service desk is always busy and always helpful and the store is busy which is good cashiers are super friendly.

They have a comprehensive ethnic food section and their produce is outstanding just outstanding

A really nice Safeway. A lot of people seem to hate this place, but I've never had a bad experience. Yes the lines can get long, but relax, they're not that long. Take a breath. Everything will be ok. If anything the shoppers can be rude. I was sitting outside with the dog while my wife was shopping and a lady in a new convertible Mustang parked dead center in a red zone blocking the center main door and ran into the store. Gone for 15 minutes... I kept watch. All that time everyone going in and out of the store had to walk around the car. You should have seen the baggers jockeying the carts around the car to bring them back to store.

Argentine is the manager in their floral department. He did an excellent job helping me with several arrangements and my bridal bouquet for our wedding. Great customer service, thank you Augestine!

The ladies in the bakery went above and beyond! My daughter asked for an ocean themed birthday, and when I looked for cupcakes to take to her class the only selections they had were cupcakes with red or yellow frosting. They not only offered to make me some cupcakes with blue and white frosting, but went the extra mile and decorated them with fish and mermaid decoration for the perfect ocean themed cupcakes. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration at school perfect!

Bill in produce is very friendly and extremely helpful. He helped me find some Tomatillos by going the extra yard to get some in the back. I also watched him help other customers and is very knowledgeable. Bill really cares about your customers and wants all your customers to have a great experience at your Safeway location. Thanks. This Safeway is not the the largest store I have been to, which suits the cute town of Aptos that it serves, but still has a wide selection, and variety of foods to fit any needs. Easily visible from the road, convenient parking, plenty of handicapped spaces, clean appearance, and smiling employees! All you need in a grocery store!

The Aptos Safeway is a hub of this small community. There aren't self check out's, so all my neighbors are caught chatting in line while we do our thing. It's so different than in a big city where the other shoppers are all strangers. Also, this store is being remodeled in the near future, I wonder how the new feel will be.

5 star meat department. Clean and good variety.

Good place to stop when you are heading out or getting back from hiking or the beach. The parking lot is small, but it's not hard to find a spot. Staff are friendly and helpful.

So glad Safeway was open Thanksgiving Day, found our turkey thermometer and some great appetizers! Happy thanksgiving everybody!
