We love to thrift shop. Today we made it just in time before they closed. I found great deals on some doll stands Ive been searching for. $2 each :) The thrift store has a nice selection of books, Checkout their calendar of deals. Parking is limited on the street. But they have more parking in the back of the buildings.

Are you looking for treasures? This is a great place to go for collectibles. It is a scavenger hunt. Need inexpensive clothes?
Go behind the thrift store where they have their super deals.

This is a great place to take your recyclables. Besides E-waste, clothing, they have bins for paper, different color glass, etc--so much better than WW recycling bins.

The profit goes back to feeding the elders in the community.

One con is that they are so popular that parking can be a problem.

Our day to day helping the public accepting donations can be overwhelming from the happiest, kindest, humble patient people on Earth to the rudest, disrespectful, distressed, low of the low that you can imagine do come along at our donation tent. I personally stayed as helpful and reasonable as I am and get through my day!

It supports the elderly and disabled they have sales on different items every day of the weeks it feeds alot of people on fixed incomes. I saw a bunch of people complaining. We bring all our recycles to grey bears and donate what we dont need any more and they resell things at market value. It's a labor of love. Support your community Support grey nets all you thrift store folks thank you

I'm amazed at the amount of different supplies that are available at the store. Grey bears thrift store is made up of several different shops; each has its own specialty or set of items. so when you go into one building, don't assume that's all they have. Make sure to explore around where you'll find books, games, medical supplies, clothing.

As explored, I was pleased to see today was 50% off. It seems there's always some type of special going on. So make sure you go in and enjoy the different options they have.

They just changed their hours to be longer, from 9:00 to 3:30. So if you see the updated hours, you'll get to stay here even longer.

How fortunate to have this recycling and resale service here in Santa Cruz. Donated, used items in good condition can find new owners. Recycling items are easy to drop off.
Well organized and clean.

Well organized! You can recycle all sorts of stuff here, even styrofoam. It’s great that they are able to refurbish items that are donated and sell them to the public. E-waste and scrap metal is also accepted. Check the website for what they will and won’t accept. I’m so thankful for their services. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Computer Store has changed for the better with new, tech savvy, helpful and friendly staff. The former manager and the volunteer mentioned in earlier reviews are gone. Plus, the store is more organized, more items, and a $79 complete desktop sale ongoing. Earlier posts may want to try them again.

Grey Bears thrift store has great finds and supports and awesome cause. The programs Grey Bears provides for seniors like the weekly food bag and various classes are indispensable. Over now seen the food bag in action with seniors I know and the food in them is excellent. Lots of staples, some organic produce, etc.

This is a great thrift store with many different items. They have at least three separate buildings where you can find everything from antiques to electronics, furniture to books and household items to construction tools. The inventory changes regularly and they have sales to move merchandise regularly.

This is a fantastic place. It's not a thrift store, it's a whole complex, with clothing, housewares, books, electronics, furniture, and more. And all for a great cause, helping seniors. This is where I both donate and shop.

Always great finds at Grey Bears. Prices are fair, staff is friendly. Check out the computer store and get tech at a fraction of the cost. Recycle, and donate your unwanted clothes and housewares, too. My favorite for second hand shopping.

I always donate to GRAYBEARS because I am one! A great organization that looks after seniors, the environment and all volunteer help is friendly and courteous. NEVER go to Goodwill..their profits go to the CEOs pocket and their million dollar property isn't taxed.

Beside having a thrift store with the usual clothing, books, and sundry household goods, Grey Bears also offers a very comprehensive recycling center that goes far beyond paper and cans. You can recycle e-waste, metals, appliances, and much more. Please check their website or email them if necessary for your recycling needs. You can attach images to show what you need to recycle, and they quickly reply. Grey Bears makes it possible to keep useful materials out of the landfill while providing valuable services to local seniors.
