Cat & Cloud Coffee

This was a back up choice for my morning brew.. but I was so stoked it turned out this way! Staff was super friendly! I tour alot of coffee roasters/shops.. #1 thing that makes/breaks a place is the vibe and staff.. #2 is delicious coffee.. and this place nailed both. They use their "The Answer" (caramel, Chocolate and berry notes) for their espresso drinks.. I ordered a vanilla oat latte.. I could taste the berries in this!! Snagged a bag of beans to take home for aeropress and can't wait for tomorrow's cup. Well done C&C, meow!

A tip: this is a great spot to escape the bustle of pacific avenue. Just one block back, with tons of seating, inside and outside.

The drip coffee single origin was on par with a pour over for a great price. Their espresso drinks are also good. The vegan coffee cake good, nice and moist. The banana bread was very moist and great as well. Croissant also good. Aka everything here is amazing, definitely would go here often if I lived in SC!

I regret finding this place on the last day of vaca - best lattes ever 👊🏼. Friendliest staff and cool outdoor seating.

I got a vanilla latte with oatmilk. It was really great. The food hall is really cute. One of the best vanilla latte’s I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone who loves coffee!!

This is by-far the best coffee in Santa Cruz AND by-far the best service in Santa Cruz! The aesthetic is beautiful and comfortable and it’s located in Abbott Square Market, a good hall next to the Mah. We definitely recommend this caffeine stop!

I'm unashamedly a fan of the Portola location but this trip has me in a different part of town so figured would give this one a try.

Simply superb espresso, properly good. Don't miss :)

Headed up by a couple of former champion baristas and creative talents at Verve, Cat & Cloud is continuing to forge the specialty coffee culture here in Santa Cruz. A passion for all things coffee runs strong with this crew and the level of customer service is like no other. Their newest cafe has them collaborating with the always delicious local bakers Companion Bakeshop, located in Abbott Square downtown. A morning at the Abbott enjoying a warm cortado and a delectable fresh baked galette…. is a day off to a great start!

*Update - the crew is as awesome as ever....but PLEASE, bring back the FRITTATA!!! My belly thanks you in advance! :)

Been wanting to try this place out, finally made a trip to Santa Cruz to do it. This location is in a little market next to a few restaurants, and it’s shaded from the sun - a perfect place to duck into for a break from exploring downtown Santa Cruz. I had their chai latte, which was delicious.

Stopped by for some morning coffee and pastries, was so pleased with the service at this little coffee stand. The staff was so nice I’d definitely come back to this location. Aesthetic is a little different than the stand alone stores, but still cute.

Convenient to downtown shops/museum, this coffee shop located in the Abbot Square food court has good coffee and a very nice atmosphere with a spacious outdoor seating area.

A must stop place in Santa Cruz!

If you’re driving, best to use parking garage nearby. Parking is not that convenient because downtown area is generally crazy busy and crowded.
Great place to stop if walking downtown.
Close to public transportation.

Very cute location in the heart of abbot square. Very friendly and fast service! Their drink are very good and cute ( don't have a picture), their pastries very delicious!! And they have their own merch too!! Absolutely lover this small cute cafe.
