I go to Safeway alot it's a very nice place to go grocery shopping at. My experiences are very awesome. The staff is very nice, sweet, professional, and helpful to. And the prices are fair. And Safeway is in the same parking lot as Carter's Pet Mart so u can do ur grocery shopping and get all of ur pet needs at the same time also.

Beautiful produce shelving, stocking, presentation. I spoke to the produce woman that was placing more items in the cubbies and told her this was an awesome job. It was nice to see fresh and full product going up. I also frequented the butcher/meat department...assistance was amazing. I asked the gentleman butcher a question regarding a dish I prepare regularly. ITALIAN lasagne. The question was should I buy lean or a more fatty beef. He answered with absolute correctness and told me WHY. I think this was an amazing experience. Worth the try. Time of visit is relevant. I was there between 1100 and 1200 hours.

Breakfast burritos and absolutely amazing. Never go wrong with the ham. The staff gave my kid a balloon. Wasn't expected but really great and thoughtful.

Safeway is great. I wish it was open 24hrs like the one in Turlock. But it’s not. It’s open until 2:00am

Onel in the pharmacy is great. Friendly, dedicated, and obviously passionate about helping people. Man definitely deserves a raise.

Fresh fruit and the store smells so good all the time because of the variety of flowers.

Good central location, clean store & friendly staff. When they didn’t have something I was looking for the clerk suggested something else that was even better! My weekly go to.

A clean grocery store. The grocery clerks are polite and helpful. It's not noisy and crowded. I find myself getting all my grocery shopping done. I'm not in a hurry or rush to leave. It's , altogether, a pleasant experience.

I went into Safeway for Starbucks the other day. The one worker there was suuuper sweet and kind. There was a lot of stock missing but she did her best to get me something close! She handled angry customers so sweetly! Had service with a smile! Happily and quickly remade a man's drink! Helped everyone at a quick speed! She definitely deserves a raise!!!

German Chocolate cake for my sons birthday I asked to hold for me and they did! And so I shopped for organic food also reasonable prices loved it!

Get rid of self checkout! Too complicated for some items, and clerk watching self check is toi busy to help

The manager makes their team happy everyone is always smiling. I get discounts on fruits all the time here and the store is so clean especially considering its age in modesto. I'd say stop here for anything and everything even a hot or cold ready meal. Wow is this an ad no not at all but safeway in modesto has their prices right and amazing employees I love modesto safeway. I met the manager once and they were busy but made sure my needs were met and was such a nice person.

I went to Safeway to get my Covid shot. But, I did have time to browse after. I love the atmosphere of this store. It's so organized and maintained that it's effective enough to navigate on your own and find what your looking for. I especially enjoyed that their was a private waiting room for vaccines and another private room within the waiting room where the vaccine was administered. Everything was clean and the employees were using precautionary measures as well. I felt very comfortable in this Safeway.
