Burger Express Fresh Mexican Grill

Always good. Big menu. Even have some Mexican dishes. Prices are reasonable. Portions are solid.

This Family owned gem is an epic place for Mexican food, burgers, breakfast tacos and so much more. I've been coming for years and everytime I fall in love and decide that THIS new thing will become my new "usual" they suggest something different and I love that new thing even more. The prices are fair and the food is always fresh. They have house made chips and salsa which is amazing and a full bar too!

I had heard that Burger Express had great Mexican food and decided to give it a try. My wife and I both got Tortas and they were amazing! She got the beef and I got the carnitas. They were huge, we could only eat half of them. The meat was delicious and the sandwiches were well put together. The best Torta I've ever had! This was an amazing find, if I hadn't been told I would have thought it was just a hamburger place. We will be coming back here many times. The owner came by and talked to us at our table and the service was superb. I highly recommend it.

Update, I went back and got a Chile Rellenos. Fabulous!

Love this place! The owner is super nice and they will make you pretty much whatever you want! I usually get an "off menu" shrimp fajita salad that is amazing! And on the last trip they gave us a sample of the chicken fajitas which were delicious! I make a point to visit here at least once when I'm in town.

This is the place to go for a variety of delicious dishes that suits everyone. Don't let the name fool you, while their Burgers are amazing, the Mexican food is the best. They also have incredible very large Salads, a few Terriyaki plates and bowls, and Breakfast! Something for everyone. This is a must try!

Got the bacon cheeseburger combo and a bacon cheeseburger pastrami with chili cheese fries. So good.

We went with a group of friends. Everyone had an excellent meal. Best place in town for Mexican food and drinks. I am hooked on the California chicken salad. We are loyal customers.

The Menu is huge! Tons of variety from Breakfast to Burgers to Mexican and even Great Salads! Dio is awesome and works the register, he’s gotta be there about 60 hours a week! The Best Fries in Simi hands down. 5 Stars from top to bottom. Try a Torta! You won’t be disappointed.

I came to try the zucchini and nachos, but also got burgers, fries, cal chicken salad. Burgers are large and comforting. Fries have a wonderful seasoning. Zucchini are tasty and crunchy. Salad was large and the chicken is Delicious! And the nachos (shredded beef) were amazing (great guacamole and pico).
Need a nap now.

I love the outside dining area, for those who just want to relax, and get some fresh air. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Great on tap beer also available.

Moving to simi is a big culture shock. I been too many Mexican restaurants(in simi area) and they all have failed, but Burger express saved the day. Me and my family came to burger express,The staff is very friendly,They have big menu with authentic Mexican food. I order the asada burrito (wet) it was delicious. The rice and beans had perfect flavoring, the asada was not dry. My partner order the Chile verde burrito, the meat was well cooked the meat had lots of flavor. The food service was really fast. I highly recommend if you are looking for real Authentic Mexican food.

Really really good food. Chicken enchiladas - chicken was so moist I ate the entire plate and suffered indigestion the rest of the night but it was worth it!!!!! Large portions. Friendly owner - everyone gets a big warm smile. And I haven't tried them yet but i hear the burgers are excellent too. This place has become my family's go to Mexican place. Good parking, lots of seating and even a bar.

Absolutely wonderful place. Rey friendly staff team work. The people make you feel like part of the family. The food is exceptionally fantastic comfort food American food and Mexican food. Off the menu food. Anything you want they will adjust to your diets.

Been living in Simi for 4 years and have never been here until just now. This place is great. The selection is massive, and the food is reasonably priced. The chicken torta is amazing and absolutely huge. Easily feeds 2 people or makes for a great 2nd meal. The staff is great. Dio is here like 8 days a week and always greets the people who enter with a smile. Armando, the owner, was amazing. After he heard it was my family’s first time, he started pointing us towards some of the customer favorites. Specifically, the chicken enchiladas. We said we would try them next time, but didn’t have to wait that long. He packed up a sample for my family, on the house. Who does that in this day and age? Overall, been back here 4x in the past 10 days and will keep coming back with my family. Thank you for the excellent service and food.

What a hidden gem!! We stopped in to have lunch with my best friend before we head back to Utah... sooooo yummy!! I had a breakfast bacon sandwich and my hubby had a chili dog!! Soooo good!! My bestie had chili cheese fries that were to die for yummy!! Owner and staff are so kind!! If you find yourself in Simi Valley looking for a great place to eat... this is it for sure!!
