Stopped by for lunch a few weeks ago and had a terrific fajita salad, was told by the waitress about the Saturday & Sunday brunch invited my family my& friends 12 total, everyone loved the food and great service very authentic we will definitely be making this one of our restaurants to have meals at. The coffee was AMAZING!! Menudo very tasty and the chilaquiles are the best just like I remember eating when I was a kid.

Lily was such an awesome server, the whole staff were courteous and busy ! So professional! Such a lovely little , eclectically decorated Mexican cuisine! I especially enjoyed the tin serving ware our appetizer chips and salsa were served to us in along with the tall mug .., something like a cocoa . The Food was amazing .

Ok... seriously this is the BEST Mexican Restaurant I've ever been to and I've been to many! Everything was amazing! We're definitely coming back on a weekend to get the full experience! A very special thanks to everyone there! Truly a wonderful place to eat!

4th time eating here. Everything all around is so beautiful, and really feels authentic. The service is very kind and generous. The chef is on point!!👌👌 Their rice and beans were hella good, so not sure what the other review folks had, but mine was bomb!! My kids love their chapulins! Everything was amazing especially their mini shop they have in there. Thank you for having my family and I. We will most definitely be coming back.😊

Service was exceptional! The enmoladas (enchiladas de mole) were delicious. The mole had the best combination of spice and sweetness. We also had Las Orejitas De Xitlaly (chorizo & cheese empanada). It was cut into fourths and the chorizo was fresh. The beans could use a little more salt, but they tasted great. My husband’s fajitas had the perfect proportion of meat and veggies. The meat tasted great, but it could have been a little more tender. This place is great overall. My husband and I loved their music selection, too!

I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. The customer service was excellent. I recommend anyone to eat here. Give it a 5 star. Well definitely coming back soon.

10/5 stars. Real authentic Mexican food including the warmth and loving attitude of the staff. It was like eating my grandmothers cooking.

This place just feels like someone’s abuela “grandmas” house and has the cooking to match. Great friendly service that is warm and welcoming. A very classic selection of Mexican food that pays homage to the Aztec roots. They offer traditional dishes that are levels above the average Mexican chains and original dishes no one else has. My wife and I personally LOVE the Enmoladas which are basically enchiladas in mole sauce and it is awesome! We have sampled many of the menu items and have truly enjoyed them all. Homemade food and agua Frescas that rival any restaurant in the area our new hometown favorite.

This is definitely the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The quesadillas are insanely delicious. The staff is super friendly and welcoming too. I’ve been there a few times and definitely gonna eat there every time I come to Modesto.

So welcoming 🙂 & the food so Delish 😋 I Literally BRUNCHED 🫣, I ordered a Coffee which tasted so good & it came with a small concha (ugh yes, best combo), then ordered the ENMOLADAS (I believe it's named like that 🤔) & the taste of it 🤌 on point, especially their beans 🫠. My husband ordered ENFRIJOLADAS & must I say sooooo 💣 & the Limon agaua fresca with Chia Seeds Ugh Refreshing. If I could add more stars 🌟 I would. Highly Recommend it 👌👍🙌

What a great find. The food is delicious, the service really nice. When we are in this area again, we will come back.

Came here for a work lunch and it was really good. My plate was amazing and my coworkers loved theirs as well. I was kind of sad that they did not have the Chile Verde plate but I got the Chile Rellenos and was very satisfied.

Feels like little Mexico, amazing staff and delicious food ❤

Nice ambiance coming in, friendly waitstaff, the feel is authentic Mexican, decor on the walls and the seating is very familiar. Staff is all in black, seating is a bit tight but comfortable, I ordered water and a burrito of chicken to start, water was brought quickly and a follow up on the food was appreciated. Smells very authentic quinine with calm Mexican old school music playing. After a few drinks next door at the rusty nail a welcome change of atmosphere to offset the heavy liquor.

This place is very authentic not only in the food but also in the decor. Made me feel like I was in my hometown in Mexico. The buffet is fantastic. And the staff is just so friendly they make you feel at home.

It's probably the best place I have ever eaten.

My husband and I came for dinner tonight and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and right on point. Now to the food....its awesome...some of the best Mexican food we have found in the area and I think we have tried them all. We will definitely be making Cocina Azteca one of our favorite places to eat. Please try it, I don't think you will be disappointed.
