The service was wonderful. They made us feel welcome and gave us great advice on what to order. We enjoyed some amazing hot chocolate and had fun hanging out at their chocolate shop.

Take it from a chocoholic - this place is amazing!
We didn't have time to stay for the tastings before leaving Durango, but next time this will be my first stop!
Truffles are AMAZING and they have other local goodies and gifts to take home!

Amazing location and service. We had a chance to visit twice and both were amazing. The coffee was fantastic, if you enjoy a lot of coffee flavor highly recommend asking for an additional espresso shot to overcome the sweetness of the chocolate.

We enjoyed their truffles, coffee, and hot cocoa. Would highly recommend grabbing some of their chocolate bars to go.

This place was a pleasant surprise, the menu is extensive and the customer service excellent. We stopped in for coffee after dinner; I was just expecting coffee in a paper cup and chocolate in a bag, what I got was an experience. Everything was presented with quality ingredients and care. I had the Mocha and my wife had an Irish coffee that came with a piece of chocolate. She said it was the best surprise ever because the chocolate went so well with the Irish coffee.

Nice place. People were super friendly. Employees were awesome. Had a recommendation to try "The Float". Definitely interesting and not what I would normally order but tried something new. Chocolates were amazing. Cost for everything was decent.

Do yourself a favor and stop by this little gem!! We started off with a classic hot chocolate and ended up ordering an additional 5 times, trying different drinks, croissant, truffles and cookies! Everything was great! The whiskey chaider is worth traveling from TX for! Holy cow, what I would give for that recipe! 😉 The staff was so friendly! The place was clean and organized well! 10 out of 10 for this wonderful place!

We were visiting from Texas, browsing Main st. And we came across this shop! So glad we went in, we voted for our favorite gingerbread house! They were unique as well. Nikki was so amazing she gave us a Truffle tour. We chose the box of 9 picked out the ones we wanted & they were so good!! We also ordered hot cocoas and they were delicious! Also purchased a stocking stuffer! Plenty of seating available inside.

We went in here for dessert and I was amazed at the selection of truffles they had in their case. The employee we deal with was great. He listed all of them so we could make our selection. I will defiantly go back next time we are in Durango.

We stopped in to warm up after a cold, rainy day of shopping. All I can say is "Wow!" It was extraordinary! The servers were super friendly and helpful, with a fun vibe. Highly recommend!

This is a staple every time we are in durango! The hot chocolates you can get so many different ways and then sit down in a really nice relaxed atmosphere and enjoy. The one I get always comes with a cinnamon swizzle stick , and it makes all the difference in the taste of my hot chocolate. The chocolates that they have are really pretty off the chain. We always get plenty to take home.

Made a delivery to Animas Chocolate Company in Colorado, and my student and I were met with a very cheerful, respectful and courteous owner of the company. We left with a few pieces to nibble on, and I must rank my personal experience including the taste and customer service on a 1000, if I had to rate them between 1-10.

Great local coffee spot. The Mexican mocha was delicious, chocolatey with some heat. The staff were super friendly and helpful. And they give out a sample of their drinking chocolate while you look around.

it’s likely you’ve never had real chocolate… animas chocolate is your chance! this is a rare and wonderful place. i have a chocolate maker friend who lives in colombia, otherwise i wouldn’t know, but i can confirm animas chocolate is the real deal

Absolutely loved this place! Not sure if he was the owner but he was very welcoming and knowledgable. Gave us a sample cup of their hot chocolate and I have to say it was so rich and chocolaty. So yummy! The hot chocolate is definitely worth stopping in for. This Is a cute little shop, reminded me of a comfy little malt shop, complete with stools at the counter, tables and a section with couches so you can relax and enjoy the yummy hot chocolate or other chocolate treats that they sell. Their truffles are almost too beautiful to eat...ALMOST! 😁 They have a good selection of chocolate treats including chocolate crumbs mixed with toffee or Chile (they have other mixes) to sprinkle over your ice cream. We had to buy a bag of what they call smelter which is basically scraps of all their different chocolates in a bag (dark, milk and white). I can't wait to make hot chocolate from it or sprinkle some in my coffee. I recommend stopping here while in Durango Colorado, you will NOT be disappointed plus we got excellent customer service. Delicious coffee drinks made fresh at the bar! Very yummy chocolate - some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had. Right on the quant main street. Love the old timey bar setup where they make the coffee drinks. They have an area where you can watch them make the chocolate and coffee mixtures from the beans. Very informative and interesting!

Our family visited Animas Chocolate and Coffee today. It was perfect. The adult beverages were fantastic and the kids loved the chocolates and kid beverages/coffees. Justin, Stewart and Ace were amazing bartenders and kept everyone entertained. We will definitely be going back.

This place is great and they make the hot chocolate themselves. It was a bit sweet but very good. The whipped cream was just right. Everything seems very upscale and the service is excellent. I highly recommend trying this place out. I definitely hope to be back in the future!

We went to this charming chocolate store last June. Being from California, we are used to See's candy and Godiva chocolates. When we went to the Animas Chocolate Company, we met the owner who guided us in choosing our favorite flavors of truffles. We also had their Daily chocolate bars. The chocolate was superior to anything we've ever had. As an added treat, the Daily Bar is imprinted with a map of the Animas River in Colorado. All the products we bought were fantastic. I just ordered a large amount of chocolate to give as Christmas gifts to our California relatives because they need to experience this chocolate. If you're ever in the area, you must go visit this quaint establishment. If you're not in the area, place an order and try their excellent products....you will not be disappointed.

Just love this place! Absolutely delicious drinks, chocolate and food...and the team here make you feel like a member of the Animas Chocolate family. Love, love, love it!

This place is the best. They have such a wonderful variety of chocolatey things! It's a cute shop on the inside with great decor... it's fun to look at everything while having a some chocolates. Lots of seating- cool tables and comfy couches. They have a great hot chocolate menu- so many interesting and tasty drinks to try. Today we went in to get chocolate bars and also got some chocolate covered potato chips! All their things are packaged beautifully. Their display case of truffles is a wonder. The chocolates are almost too pretty to eat. Customer service is really top notch as well. Can't say enough good things! Such a gem.
