Hampton Inn Durango

An exceptionally well-managed Hilton property.

I’ve stayed several times over the years. And I’ve never had a complaint.

The property always looks newish, as if they are constantly working on appearances.

Front desk staff are pleasant and efficient.

The rooms are quiet and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping is excellent.

Location is good—right off the main drag.

Outstanding value for the money.

Good jumping off point if you’re visiting Mesa Verde.

Already looking forward to my next visit.

Great place to stay for a night or two! We stayed so we could drive the million dollar highway the next day which was easy since the hotel is on the north side of town. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were consistently clean, and the location is pretty good. The breakfast could definitely be better, but that's more of an all-hotel problem ever since COVID than anything specific to this Hampton Inn.

This location was perfect, clean and well stocked. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious thank you Brenda, We loved all the breakfast options. I must say we travel a lot and this is the first time I slept in any hotel with no worry about someone coming into my room and going through my things. The beds are very comfortable. This establishment is very clean. I can go on and on. Thank you. Highly recommended !!

My family and I stayed here in August on a vacation to Colorado. It's in a great location. Everything was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. There was a mix up with our room at check in (no biggie) and the staff was more than accommodating. It was a busy weekend and they were doing a great job! Brenda at breakfast was AMAZING! So sweet and friendly and always had a smile on her face. She truly made sure everyone's experience was a good one.

The Hampton Inn is a clean, convenient, and updated place to stay in Durango. Erik at the front desk helped me twice during my stay, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hot tub also works very well!

Nice, clean rooms. Above average for this class of hotel. A reasonable free breakfast. The manager is a hoot (in a good way). Staff could have been a bit friendlier, but no complaints about their service.

I love this hotel when I travel to Durango. It's very comfortable and nice for a Hampton inn. Rooms seems newly remodeled and have very nice flow. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel has a decent Continental breakfast in the morning and complimentary access to the Durango Rec center upon request. Parking is always close too.

Nicest hotel on North Main in Durango. You can tell the owners care a lot about the property. Rooms are remodeled and grounds are really well taken care of. We recommend it to friends and family visiting Durango.

Great place. Clean. Friendly staff. Hard working breakfast staff. Food was good,, eggs were a little wet from the steam from the warming trays but still good. Nice rooms. I wish we had the option to stay at Hampton Inns throughout our whole road trip.

This place is good to go if you want to ride the train my aunt Bethany thought the elevator was nice and swimmy pool she also like the free contental breakfast she also went to the Wendy’s and got a frosty with chicken nuggies with my uncle earl and me they like that place too

This was an awesome hotel. Very clean and kept up. Staff were amazing and the breakfast each morning was fantastic! It was a little spendy compared to other brands at 250 a night, however I would 100% stay again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn in Durango, Colorado, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and at home.

The staff at the Hampton Inn Durango went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. From the friendly front desk team who greeted me (Sarah especially was wonderful!) with warm smiles and efficient check-in to the housekeeping staff who kept my room immaculate, the level of service was exceptional. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had.

Location (4/5):
The hotel's location is ok for exploring Durango. It's located north of town, within walking distance to some restaurants and shops. I highly recommend Serious Texas BBQ and Zia Taqueria which are both within a short walking distance and delicious! It's not in the heart of town but a short drive to nearby attractions.

I read some reviews about bugs which is very common in these areas. I live in Cortez and I encounter these critters even in my own home. And we are very clean. Durango is a mountain town and unfortunately these bugs are hard to avoid. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The only slight drawback was that the room size was somewhat on the smaller side, but this wasn't a major issue. The bathroom was a great size and spacious.

Amenities (5/5):
The hotel offers a range of amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was nice, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. They don't have a fitness center but they do offer a pass to the Recreation center. They are also dog friendly which is a huge plus since we have a service dog. They have a little area for dogs to do their business which was great for our dog Frankie.

I arrived at the Hampton Inn-Durango after Riding the Durango-Silverton Scenic Railroad from Silverton to Durango. This hotel is located north of Downtown Durango and there are no restaurants within walking distance. There is Lyft/Uber available but be prepared to wait as there were only a couple of drivers available and both were busy with other rides. Upon arrival at the Hampton Inn, I was greeted by a very friendly and professional front desk agent. Check-in was very quick, and I was soon settled in my room. My King room was spacious and very well appointed. The bed was well made and very comfortable. This hotel is located adjacent to Highway 550, but Road Noise was not an Issue. There is ample free parking available in a well-lit lot. The morning breakfast consisted of the usual, eggs, with meat, pastries, cereals, juice, and coffee. The Breakfast attendant kept the area well stocked and clean through the advertised hours. All the employees that I encountered were very friendly and professional. Finally, some of the previous reviews indicated a problem with bug in their room. I am not disputing these reviews; however, I never encountered such a problem. I even asked the front desk agent about this issue, and they were more than happy to allow me to check the room before charging my credit card. I was very satisfied with my stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if I am ever back in Durango.

This is the nicest Hampton Inn I have stayed at in a very long time.The Inn was very neat and clean and the room was well appointed, neat and clean. Easy access and egress.The gentleman, Mr. Thomas Emerson that was at the desk, at check in, was exemplary. Dressed very nicely and very attentive to our requests. The morning breakfast was filled with fresh fruits, pastries and a nice assortment of breakfast foods.The two women in attendance, wherever helpful, cordial and kept this foods coming out and cleaned up immediately. I will most definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff at all hours were great people. The cleaning staff And breakfast staff were all very accommodating and friendly as well. The room was definitely older but fully stocked and very clean. Comfortable bed. There were a lot of small beetles coming in the window, Which is the only reason the room didn't get a full 5 stars. The pool was a little too cool but the hot tub was perfect. Well maintained.
