Front desk gal was super friendly and even gave us information about local events going on. The breakfast was good, yes they do have a waffle maker!

As for the room it was one of their remodeled rooms and was quite clean. The beds were clean. No stinky smells in the beds or anything so that was good. The TV wasn't working but they were aware of it, they are still under renovation.

Pool is closed for renovations.

My husband and I stayed here for right at a week. It was our first trip to Colorado and this proved to be one of the more economical choices for our stay.
The hotel appears to be a bit older and is currently under renovation but don't let that dissuade you from staying here! Our room was comfortable, clean, and had every amenity we needed for our stay. The mattress, while nothing fancy, was comfortable and the bedding was great and surprisingly warm! I didn't know that there was a crew working on the hotel until our 3rd night there. In fact, I would have thought we had the hotel to ourselves for how quiet it was during our entire stay - even though I ran across other guests every day!
As far as the renovations, I was shocked - I've been at many a hotel before undergoing work and it was always a noisy hassle. I met one of the gentlemen working on the place, Tim, and he was just absolute a sweetheart and gave some wonderful insight on some local restaurants. One morning, I saw him and his crew working on stuff and was amazed - my husband and I never once were interrupted by the sound of them!
The pool/hot tub area was just wonderful! There were plenty of towels, it was well maintained, and offered additional access upon request (the hot tub was open from 3 pm -11 pm but you could request to get in there earlier or later). It was very clean and didn't seem to be over-chlorinated. It was very relaxing and absolutely gorgeous with the stone and plants everywhere!
The breakfast the hotel provided was most excellent - make your own waffles and burritos! The food was all fresh and warm with a wide variety of sides - yogurt, toast, cereal, fresh fruits, etc. If you chose to eat in the breakfast area, there was a lovely fire place type thing in the wall that was pretty and you could see all the mountains in the area.
The hotel manager(?), Mike, was just an absolute delight! Arguably, he was one of the best things about the hotel! He was super accommodating and just a great conversationalist; we ran across him several times throughout our stay and every time we just had a wonderful conversation. We needed a late checkout and he made that happen with absolutely no stress for us - even though we told him kind of last minute!
For longer stays, there is a grocery store and liquor store within walking distance. To get downtown, there are 2 trolley stops within a 2 minute walk - we stayed a whole week without a vehicle and had NO issues getting around! We got in later on a Sunday and there were dinner options within walking distance, so that was nice too!

TL;DR: This hotel is an excellent bang for your buck!!! We WILL stay here again when we go back!

The receptionist was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were awesome! They are housed in a greenhouse type building that was filled with flowers, plants and even a waterfall. What a great place to relax! Lots of good restaurants close by - even walking distance. We loved this hotel and would definitely return to it. I highly recommend this hotel.

Easily one of the best hotels I've been to. The dome pool and hot tub was paradise. The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was good and hot. If you need a hotel in Durango, this place is great for all.

This is a great place to stay! The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms were clean, the location is perfect, the pool & hot tub are awesome. The breakfast is fresh and kept stocked. Cookies baked each night at the front desk along with fresh coffee. I just can't think of anything bad to say about it. We were here for 4 nights & did not have a single problem! We will definitely be back.

excellent customer service from the moment I called. This "John Doe" ;-) was lost, and had booked a room in a really bad local motel. I had to flee the scary/sketchy motel. The great front desk employees were most helpful. They held a room for me and we made it safe. :-) This is a very nice and SAFE place to stay in Durango. Cheers to the staff!

This is and older hotel, but with the best staff and breakfast. Honestly, the staff bent over backwards to accommodate for our family. You can tell customer service is their upmost priority. The breakfast also had a great selection! Thank you for a great night!

I stayed her with my volleyball team. The staff was very nice and patient when the girls were just having a bit of fun. I never felt like we were going to be in trouble. The kids had so much fun. No hallways to get lost in, easy access to each of the rooms and pool in the middle. Group friendly and kid friendly

Great price Great service. We stayed in Durango to go skiing at Purgatory. I rented three rooms during my stay. I got one room with the king size bed and two rooms with two queen sized beds. King size room is very specious. The Queen size rooms have a comfortable amount of room. The staff really makes this place shine. They are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. As I walked from room to room I did witness staff thoroughly clean the rooms. The carpet was clean. No funky smells. The air con and heater worked. No issues with the shower water temperature.

One room had much nicer bed sheets then the other two rooms. It would have been nice if all the rooms had the nice updated bed sheets. The indoor pool area is nice but not attached to the hotel it self. Based on the price we paid, the service we received from the staff and the size of the rooms I give them five stars.
THE STAFF WAS AMAZING THEY MADE THE STAY EXTREMELY PLEASURABLE.

This was a very well run hotel. The rooms are nice and clean - the bed was extremely comfortable. Best breakfast out of any hotel we have ever stayed out with numerous selections and extra touches - like whipped cream for waffles! Very friendly staff. We will stay there again.

The guy at the front desk was amazing. Extremely friendly and also gave us complimentary bottles of water. This is definitely the guy you want representing your Motel. Nothing but great things to say about this place.

My family and I stayed there from July 13th to July 16th. The beds weren't the greatest and the outlets were pretty sad, but the staff made up for all of that. They took great care of us and were extremely accommodating when our car ended up needing repairs on the same day were were scheduled to check-out. We greatly appreciate the professionalism and dedication that was presented by the staff.

P.S. The provided breakfast were great!

While this is an older property and may seem a bit shabby from the outside, you'll soon discover this hotel is actually extremely clean and well-organized with all the modern amenities you'd expect, including a decent "Continental-plus" breakfast.

My room was very clean and surprisingly large, with the bed placed well against an interior wall and not one shared with an adjoining room. Another benefit, thanks to its older construction, is the use of fireblock walls that further help minimize noise.

I also found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, including when handling my request to add an additional day to my stay, and then when I cancelled that plan due to weather (without any additional charges.) I will plan to stay here again when visiting Durango.

Matthew was the host at the desk when we arrived. He was very helpful, and got us into our room a few hours before check-in. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast in the morning felt more complex than other Best Westerns we've stayed at. A large variety of breakfast items with local brewed coffee from Durango Coffee Roasters. Overall a pleasant experience!

Nice clean rooms. Pool area was clean and quiet and the dome was great because we could enjoy a swim even when it got chilly outside. We actually left two jackets behind and the hotel staff mailed them to us right away. Would definitely stay here again when I visit Durango

I'm naturally a cold person so when I called the front desk to ask if maybe I wasn't turning the heat up correctly, I discovered that the temperature only goes up to 75. The person at the front desk, Michael, brought me a space heater and an extra blanket. It made a huge difference in my stay and I appreciated it so, so much.

This motel is on the way into town from Silverton. Lots of parking and rooms are nice sized and very clean and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. Laundry on premises was well lit and in good condition. Location is very nice since it is away from the congestion of downtown but close enough to grocery and banks.

Me and my cousins stayed here Labor Day weekend and we had a really pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated and nice and the pool area was really nice. Breakfast was really good and there was a lot of variety. Would stay here again when I visit Durango.
