What a quaint, chic and cute find!. We just happened to be driving around Durango, after finishing the D&SNG steam engin ride, to find something different for lunch. With an open metered spot in front of the place just before the lunch hour rush, we walked up to peruse the menu. We both looked at each other with the "oh yeah" and waited to be seated. Seeing the menu was great but when our lovely server told us about the specials of the day...well she had us at arugula and got cheese!. The soup of the day was great were the entries as well as the baklava.
Great fun, great food. We learned they also have live music and was told the owner and chef is a jazz singer on tuesday nights.
This is a special gem with many facets.

Delicious!! Some of the best calamari I've ever tasted and it's my daughter's favorite thing to order so I've had a lot! Cute little place, cozy seating. My friends had more complex meals and it all looked great. I had the apps, potatoes also great and falafel sandwich, it was fine. We didn't realize they had closed over an hour after we were leaving, server never said a word, super nice of her as we were really enjoying our time. Definitely will be back

Enjoyable Cafe nestled in the heart of downtown. The Falafel, corn meal encrusted calimari, and hibiscus tea we're all well presented and delish. Service was kind and not overbearing. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the nice weather.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner while on vacation and the food we ordered was all delicious! The tempura cauliflower appetizer and baklava desert were especially good. Service was great and always aware of anything we may need. I am so glad we chose this place to spend our evening and would gladly recommend it.

Had a great lunch here. Got a hibiscus iced tea at a nice table in the shade. Food was definitely inspired, simple, local ingredients. Definitely give it a try for some healthier seasonal food!

I have dined here several times in the past 2 months. Food and service are consistently excellent. The owner has taken great care to ensure that guests are comfortable when seated outside even on the hottest days by providing adequate shade to each table. Indoors, the space is beautifully decorated and spotless.

I have had different servers every time and all have been prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Every meal here has been a delightful experience in every aspect. So far my favorite special was the gnocchi, and the white peach sangria is not to be missed. Prices are very reasonable for quality and quantity of food. Can’t wait to go back!

Catherine was a peach

I got the gyro, the wife got the lamb burger

Don’t sleep on the dolmas, either!

It is probably the only TRUE dog friendly restaurant in Durango. The staff was attentive and polite. They made sure that we and our dog were taken care off. I had the sun-dried tomato chicken sandwich and my husband had the burger. Both were excellent. I would highly recommend them.

My wife, dog, and myself shared a wonderful dinner on the patio this week at the Dandelion Cafe. Everything was incredible, the staff were timely, courteous and extremely professional. There was a lot of activity with the Ride the Rockies event this week, and they did a spectacular job keeping people fed and moving through. The food and the vibes were perfect and we cannot wait to return on our next visit to Durango. Thank you!

Great menu, mainly Mediterranean, but has plenty of other options. Dog friendly, put a bowl of water out for my two pooches. Waitstaff was great, had to wait to get a table, so they called my phone and I could window shop on Main street.

Cute spot with fantastic food. The calamari was among the best we've ever had. I won't go into everything we had but everything we ordered was very good. To top it off, our waitress was very sweet and was well versed on the menu. Would highly recommend.

Cypress Cafe is one of our favorite dog friendly (during warm seasons) restaurants in Durango. We have been going for almost 10 years. The service and food is terrific. It has a new owner but has maintained quality and service. Highly recommended.

Went here for an early dinner. The food was excellent and everything on the menu we didn't have looked great. On the Wednesday we were there they had live music that started at 6. Amazing patio and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

...Stopped in for lunch in downtown Durango. Not quite sure of the waitress' name...maybe Tiffany. Anyhow, she was wonderful! We had a couple of brief, but quality conversations. 'Tiffany' had a way of making a single diner warm & comfortable. The food was excellent..a great blend of Mediterranean & New American! The atmosphere of the place was very cozy & ambient. A lovely dining experience overall.

Soooooo good! The menu does change and the chef always has something exciting and new to try. The cocktails are to die for! Try a "Tiger kiss", my personal favorite! Wish I had a photo to share but I ate my food too quickly!

I wish I had discovered this gem earlier, my last night in Durango. Meal was fabulous, excellent wine selection and fantastic service. I haven't had Puttenesca in several years, kinda hard to find where I'm from. I'm going to have to come back to try some of the other dishes that caught my eye.

Exceptional site for Patio Jazz performed by the owner, Alison Dance, and others. Our party of three enjoyed wine and three exceptional meals... pork chops, fish and a VERY SPECIAL Greek Ravioli dish.. ...never had a better pasta dish! A very friendly staff.

Our party plans to return to this wonderful restaurant on future travels to Durango. Give this location a try!
