It was a really nice stayed. I enjoyed the contactless check in. Very simple to do and easy. Your housekeeper Hannah was so sweet and helpful when I needed extra towels. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel needs a facelift on the outside but the room was renovated and comfortable. It was great having a full kitchen for such a great price! I needed extra sheets and the manager got them to me right away. The check in process was smooth an I’m looking forward to staying here again!

This was such a unique and interesting experience compared everything else around. It's set up so I don't have to interact with anybody and just get to my room. Everything I needed was conveniently texted to me and their helpful chat bot answered any questions I had for it. This is the first time I've seen a motel like this - it almost feels like something out of a futuristic movie

Really helped my family out when we needed it most very nice generous place 10/10 would recommend beautiful rooms, we actually only paid 300 for one week (discounted) and Spanish Trails is charging 100 dollars a night for their bug infested rooms meanwhile this place is really nice and cozy especially for how cheap they are, comparing that to a room charging $100 a night it seems like a rip off, but here they even have rooms with kitchenettes come here to find out what I mean everywhere else is a rip off. I spent two whole days finding that out by going around to every motel/hotel in Durango to be satisfied and found these guys last minute.

When I arrived there was a booking issue with the room I had reserved a couple weeks prior. After talking with the front office attendant he was able to fix the situation and gave us a room for the evening. Excellent customer service even when he expressed the difficulties of what going on with the booking and staff. The room/hotel was clean, quiet, very comfortable and I felt at home away from home. Great value for what you receive, would recommend and book again.

Stayed here two nights and would gladly stay again next time I’m in town ! The people who work here are wonderful. We asked to leave my boyfriends bag with them while we were out of town and they took good care of it. Clean rooms and comfortable beds . Nice hot shower ! I love the free popcorn every day :)

The is a little place owned by a sweet young couple that make your stay very welcoming. It's older and nostalgia, but very clean and well kept, with all doors to outside and ground level. Park right by your door for handy loading and unloading. We stayed almost a week and it was very quiet even being right on the main hwy. It's very close to walking distance to nearly everything you want to see or do in downtown Durango. We'll definitely be staying there again!

Multiple great experiences for a very reasonable price. Felt very homey. Very understanding staff for when we were arriving late and how to go about getting out key/access to the room. Upstairs rooms are amazing. If you're trying to find a cheaper option this is the place to stay.

Very nice stay! Rooms were clean and spacious looks like they have been recently remodeled. Check In was fast and easy. Definitely will be staying there again next time I'm in town. Price was great for what I got.

Really can’t say enough good things about Wapiti. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Rooms were clean, comfy beds, and an even better view. Located very central to town for a fraction of the cost of other nearby spots. Stayed for a week and not a single issue. Will definitely be visiting again!

Had a great stay here! Doesn't look like much from the outside but plenty of work has been done on the inside and was very comfortable and cozy. Service was friendly and helpful and prices were very reasonable. I'll be back!

Great little hotel! The rooms are clean and the wifi works great! Stayed their last year in September for three nights. We had the room with a kitchen.This September, of this year, on our way home, we stopped and stayed the night. The place hasnt changed, still nice and clean! Downtown Durango was easy to get to. It may not be a chain hotel or motel, but its a great little hotel!

Stayed here because I had to take my dog to the vet and I live in Pagosa. It was a quick decision but a great one. Friendly staff and good rooms, also my bed had a memory foam mattress on it! Can’t complain about that. If I ever need a place to stay in Durango again it’ll be here.

Josh and Kate are good hosts. Beds are super comfy! We were there only for one night but we will come back again. It is just the kind of no-frills, not "Durango Expensive" place that we like to stay in. The best thing is that we can easily park our bikes inside the room. It is close to the Animas River bike path, you can walk easily to downtown Durango, and while it was HOT in Durango, we enjoyed a glass of wine outside under the big trees at the picnic tables. We don't have kids but there is a swing set outside in the front "yard" as well.

Very clean, comfortable down home motel. Awesome location, friendly staff. A home away from home. Beautiful area. Will keep coming back!!

Our friends and us had four rooms booked for four days, we had a great time, clean..... nice staff...accommodating..even let us leave our vehicles all day after checking out. thankyou, we will defin6stay again

I just checked into this beautiful room. It's just my dog and I and after hiking the past 14 hours this is a great place to stay. Well worth the money.

LOVE THIS PLACE, I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS FOR ANYONE BUT I FEEL THAT I MUST FOR THE GREAT STAFF AND ROOMS AT WAPITI, I HAVE STAYED THERE 2 YEARS IN A ROW NOW AND REALLY LOVED BOTH TIMES, I ONLY WISH THAT I HADN'T WAITED SO LONG TO BOOK FOR THIS YEARS TRIP AND WAS ONLY ABLE TO SPEND ONE NIGHT INSTEAD OF THE FULL SEVEN DAYS I WAS IN DURANGO, SUPER CLEAN ROOMS, AWESOME STAFF AND EVEN THOUGH I BOOKED THE ROOM FOR 2 PEOPLE ON LINE WHEN I SHOWED UP WITH 3 I WASN'T CHARGED A DIME MORE THAN MY ONLINE PRICE, THE ONLY MENTION OF IT WAS THAT SHE'D NEED TO GET ME A COUPLE EXTRA TOWELS, SHE EVEN LET ME CHECK IN A COUPLE HOURS EARLIER THAN POSTED SINCE I NEEDED TO PARK MY TRUCK SOMEWHERE WHILE WE TOOK MY WIFE'S TRUCK TO HEAD DOWNTOWN, SUPER FRIENDLY, GREAT PRICES, ESPECIALLY FOR SUCH AN AMAZING LOCATION (ANYONE THAT SAYS OTHERWISE IS A LUNATIC, IF YOU STAY HERE YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT) I AM GETTING READY TO BOOK MY ROOMS FOR NEXT YEARS TRIP ALREADY AND I JUST LEFT 5 DAYS AGO, I WON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE BY BOOKING TOO LATE AGAIN! THIS IS TRULY "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" FOR ME AND MY FAMILY, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU NEXT YEAR (YOUR AWESOME STAFF!!) Great place, I've been living in Motel 6 for the last 5 weeks, for roughly the same price this is a great step above. And Durango is a great town I might add.
