I always order the chicken fried steak wherever I go for breakfast. For me this is the litmus test and Donna’s passes this test with delightful ease. The only downside to Donna’s is their location. . . they belong in North Idaho or the panhandle of Texas- somewhere with a more down home local dinner magic- not Spokane 😏 But then they have their own magic that makes up for being surrounded by city.

Love this little friendly diner. Great food, with fast service and a personal touch. I would like to eat here every day for breakfast if I could. But then I would probably have trouble getting though the door. The portion sizes are enormous. Enough for two people on one plate! Great coffee and it's so reasonably priced for the food. I love this place!

An old fashioned breakfast diner. The food was great and one has to love the homemade apricot jam as well as the reading glasses on everytable. The hot sauce is even for sale, so one can take little flavor home

I absolutely love this place. It's like a second home. I come here for breakfast almost daily and I absolutely love the quiet but friendly atmosphere.

The food was great. The service was great and we really had a great visit with the staff and it was nice to learn the history of the place. We were welcomed like regulars and it was our first time there! It's truly a down home diner. The only area that would keep me from going back is the prices. They are higher than similar places. Having said that they do make all of their soups in house and when you order fries they cut up a potato (or two) and fry it up so their food is super fresh and delicious so maybe that's why their prices are a bit higher. Stop in and try it one day, just remember that they close early.

Hometown restaurant with super nice staff! Definitely a locals place but we will be back next time through! Portions were huge & food was very good. I had the special- it was a French toast sandwich with egg, cheese & ham. He had the potatoes, ham, egg dish.

Great food and loved the atmosphere. My husband and myself were looking for a small mom and pop type breakfast place and were very pleased! Best biscuits and gravy I have had in a long time.

The best comfort food! Cozy and cute. They have a bar you can sit at or a variety of table sizes. Not great for a huge group of people, but 6 or so is fine. Their biscuits and gravy qre the best in Spokane in my opinion.

Food was good. Cozy little dinner with vintage decor. Waitresses Miranda and Michelle did a great job keeping the coffee coming and topped off. They were very attentive and friendly. Been here a handful of times very family friendly. Love coming, the food comes in very generous portions so don't be afraid to share. Overall very charming little place to get a nice homestyle meal. A very come as you are, all are welcome kind of feel to this dinner. You encounter all walks of life here and when Donna is on the floor comingling with the customers it makes for an even better experience.

Donna's Diner was spectacular we took a ride my daughter and I and then we decided we wanted pancakes and the best pancakes I know and town Donna's diner. She was so happy with the service that we got there that she took it upon herself to give the waitress her tip from her own money she didn't have much but she did give her a $5 tip which I thought was very sweet ,thoughtful and considerate. I have a 12 year old these days kids need to learn to appreciate hard working people. So thank you Donna server for the great experience, we will be back again have a blessed year. Food was great! Had chicken fried steak and eggs, amazing! Took a little while but they were real busy on a Saturday morning with no available tables so I expected the extra time.

I'm happy to say their breakfast was top tier. Prices are right on point, servings are of the OMG level. OMG, meaning you leave with a full belly.
As for the menu, it's quite original. I had the breakfast pie. My best friend had the corn beef hash. She loved it.
We'll be going there again and again.

If you dont try their chicken fried steak and eggs you are a fool or a vegan. Lol this place makes huge portions and great food. Love their pork products specially the Bacon. Prices would be better if WA state was friendlier to business. The owner grts to know everyone and hires the best wait staff. I can't wait to go back. My Dad loved this place before he passed. This place is Veradale Gold!

I don't give restaurants a five star review unless they deserve it. To me this is an old style dinner with excellent service, lots of food. I love their breakfasts and the coffee is good!
