My son told me I had to try this place and it was great advice. Small little place, but the service was great, and the food was very good.

The sushi menu is huge, and I settled on the Fuji Roll. It came out hot and fresh and was unexpectedly delicious. Also had the teriyaki beef with fried rice. It was filling and the beef was very tender. Not at all like any of the buffet style restaurants offer.

As it's about 5 minutes from work, I'm sure I'll be here again.

Vichy is the best!!!! Love her so much 😍 Absolutely delicious food! The unagi had a great consistency and balance between the unagi and sauce. Salmon was very tasty as well. Today I had the shrimp tempura dinner, smoked salmon, green tea ice cream, and tea! Service was great. Prices are fair. I enjoyed it very much!

Absolutely delicious food - great service! My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and had all veggie sushi. It was all wonderful.

While we were there, a special needs man walked in and proceeded to chat with the server. She was so kind and chatted with him patiently, answering every single question he had (which was a lot!). It was wonderful to witness.

We will definitely stop in again!

Fantastic experience at Kanagawa! What a gem. We dined in on a Saturday night. Seating was limited, as the dining area is small (about 6 tables) so it can fill very quickly. Nicely and appropriately decorated, very clean and neat. The service was excellent: very polite, timely, helpful, and friendly. We ordered sushi rolls and chicken udon soup. The soup was excellent, great flavor. The sushi we ordered included Steve, spring, Hawaii, red snapper tempura, and sweet potato rolls, was incredibly fresh, very high quality fish and other ingredients. Some of the best sushi in the area, without a doubt. Prices reasonable and comparable to the area, if not slightly lower then some others. Would love to dine here again, highly recommend!

Best Sushi Ever!! We had shrimp noodles and a variety of sushi, both cooked and raw. You can tell that the ingredients used were very fresh and of the highest quality! We had a kind and polite waiter. The atmosphere was peaceful and the entire restaurant was exceptionally clean! I can't wait to eat here again!
*Update* In for lunch. Our party ordered about 12 orders of sushi! It came out very quickly and all of the ingredients were very fresh!! If you like sushi, you HAVE to try this place. We also ordered jasmine tea and it was really good!! It was made with real Jasmin flowers. This is my favorite sushi place in PA!!

Food was so good I ate all the food before I remember to make a review. We got the Steve roll and Fuji roll. 12/10 Highly recommend!

Meet sushi Mike and Paul. Many great sushi rolls to choose from and some great food comes out of the kitchen as well. The fried rices , and the fried cheesecake are devine. Stop in on a Friday or on the weekend and treat yourself to a great experience! Ginn, one of the waitstaff is very knowledgeable of the menu items.

The sushi here is incredibly fresh every time and the sushi bowls are delicious!

Staff were friendly and accommodating to our group of 7 after we called in. The food was delicious, the location is great—inside the beautiful old bank (vault and everything). I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

Excellent sushi! We tried a few different rolls in addition to a chef's choice nigiri entree. Our waiter was also very friendly and attentive despite having to cover all the tables on his own. We look forward to visiting again soon.

We eat here about one a week. This has been a fantastic addition to Mechanicsburg. The foods is fresh and excellent. Very relaxed. We like it even more because it is not loud and we can actually talk with me another!

We started out with vegetable egg rolls as our appetizer. Very fresh.

They got the Tony Roll to share and I got the Mechanicsburg Roll. Both were excellent and freshly made.

Also got the fried gyosa and Paco appetizers to share. Gyosa were fresh and crispy. Paco was a pretty funny appetizer, filled with crab and a pepperoncini.

Also shared some of the chicken teriyaki and hot tea.

Finished off with the chocolate mochi ice cream, was very good ending to a wonderful meal.

All I have to say is that their food is so so sooooo good/delicious lol. I literally come here every other day. I just moved out here about 5-6 months ago and they never disappoint when it come to their food. Try their teriyaki kitchen… amazing. Thank you Kanagawa :)

This place is 500 stars out of 10. Went for lunch with my parents who were in from out of town and loved the menu selection. My grandmother is Japanese and this place rivaled some of her dishes (although I would never tell her that 😂). They had a ton of vegan options which my mom appreciated and THE BEST GINGER DRESSING I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Like seriously go just to try the salad. It's made there and is beyond amazing. Will definitely go back here multiple times!

Kanagawa is a “must visit” destination. Hands down the most delectable sushi I’ve ever had. Beautifully prepared, artfully presented and so fresh. Lovely, quiet dining room with the kindest, incredibly attentive staff. Michael (owner) is the sweetest, friendliest host. 100% delight all around. Can’t wait to return!

Cute little spot in the town of Mechanicsburg. Super inconspicuous. Made reservations for a Friday. Pretty busy joint so I recommend making one. If you go and they still offer the green mussel appetizer you HAVE to get it. So delicious. The rolls were perfectly portioned and tasted so fresh 😋

One of my favorite spots in Mechanicsburg, Kanagawa is amazing. I highly suggest the sashimi and Paco roll appetizer. Everything is high quality, and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
