This is a great four star hotel within a short walking distance to the French Quarter. We stayed three nights in mid May and our stay was fantastic! The room was not big, but it was updated and tastefully decorated. A small fridge kept our drinks cold. The room was quiet and we had good sleep in the comfy bed. The only thing missing is a desk if you need to work. We were there for vacation and it didn't matter to us.

The lobby has an authentic Banksy wall painting. It was really cool to see a real work by this enigmatic artist.

The receptionists we encountered were real nice. One of them helped me to print out the boarding pass.

The ice water in the lobby was life saving. We used it many times because of the hot weather.

If I'm nitpicking, that would be the terrible coffee they serve in the morning. They also failed to refill. Three out of four times, the coffee ran out.

We recently stayed here for ten nights.

The location is fantastic, as it is within walking distance of the French Quarter and all the transport links, but far enough away to be tranquil.

The hotel is surrounded by great places to eat, coffee shops and bars

The rooms are a good size and kept clean and tidy, the beds are very comfy.

Tip: Ask for a room not on Gravier St, as you will get an early morning wakeup call from the Trash Collectors!

Our experience started out poorly. The guy working the front desk on March 6, 2:40pm assured us he moved our reservation back a day but when we showed up, it turns out he never actually updated it in the system or did anything. Luckily, the lady (Shay?) went above and beyond to get the issue fixed and even let us check in early. The rooms here are luxurious, quiet, high ceilings, and the hotel has a great vibe and was very accommodating throughout our entire stay. The location is good especially if you don't want to stay right in the Quarter, it's only a short walk to Canal St and everything else. However there is no parking and the closest garages are $40+ a night so plan accordingly. I would definitely stay here again because of the great service and nice rooms.

Great room and service. Although I expected the room to be a bit bigger and a microwave oven in the room would be nice. The hotel has a vintage look and atmosphere which matches the vibe of the culture of the area. The location was excellent, right at the center of excitement. A lot of visitor spots and restaurants are in a walking distance. Definitely recommend staying there.

This was my first time staying at International House Hotel, but won’t be my last. Check-in & check-out were seamless, the location is quite safe, it’s an easy walk to the Quarter, rooms were quite comfortable & the bar, Loa, has a lovely ambience. During my stay, there was a St. Joseph’s Altar in the lobby, which showed me that the hotel keeps the culture & unique traditions of New Orleans alive. The rooms were nicely appointed & my mattress was just right; not too hard & not too soft. I always appreciate rooms with mini refrigerators, hair dryers, an iron & an ironing board. My only suggestion would be to have a lighted makeup mirror, as the lighting in the room was a bit too dark for me. WiFi worked well throughout my stay. The permanent Banksy exhibit is fun to browse. I loved the mosaic art in the elevators as well. The staff at reception was always helpful & cheerful, with the exception of the woman with the glasses who checked me out on Wednesday morning; she was slightly surly. Eric & Taylor, who manned the Loa bar, were wonderful & made elegant cocktails. My main compliment, however, is for the owner, Sean. I planned to attend the St. Joseph’s Night event in Central City. Though it was easy to Uber there, I was worried about catching one back to the hotel, as the streets surrounding the event would then be blocked off & the area was known to be a bit unsafe. I didn’t want to walk around after dark in an area that I was unfamiliar with. Sean suggested that I call the hotel if there were any problems catching an Uber back; he said that someone would come & pick me up. THAT is customer service! Luckily, I was able to get an Uber back, but it’s always reassuring to know that the hotel is looking out for you.

I have had a near 25 year relationship with this hotel. Visiting periodically, some for short stays and some for extended stays. They have continued to rise to the occasion of exceeding my expectations.

Love the presence of locally distilled spirits in the great bar.

i’ve stayed at my fair share of hotels in New Orleans- this one is by far my favorite! the atmosphere and the rooms have the perfect ambiance and decorations… but the best part- the staff! each member is always smiling and sooo welcoming- but by far - Drew is the best!! he goes above and beyond to be welcoming and provide you with any and everything you might need- while being professional and respectful to!! i don’t think my experience would be half of what it was if he wasn’t there!!

They let us drop our bags off early so we didn’t have to carry everything around. Check-in was smooth. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room wasn’t huge, but spacious. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator didn’t work, which was a bit of a bummer. The bathroom was clean and well stocked for 2.

Had a lovely experience staying here. The rooms are beautiful. Loved all of the art around the hotel especially the Banksy and the Banksy room . I slept really well as the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming and Sean the owner is very kind. Great location to get to anywhere you need to in New Orleans without having a car. Easy access to the streetcar lines and the french quarter. My teenager loved the chess game and enjoyed playing chess with some of the guests. It is also great that they have some musical instruments. The new restaurant Kenji is probably the best Japanese restaurant I have been to. The fitness center has everything you need to have a great workout. Loa’s has a really nice selection of non alcoholic drinks and I really enjoyed the Non alcoholic IPA every evening. The Magdalena gallery is absolutely divine . If I had to add any suggestions, it would be nice if there was an herbal tea offering with some honey or agave in the morning with the coffee for those who are too sensitive to caffeine. I hope to stay here again the next time I return to see my family.

Great location can get a little noisy. Really comfy bed. Amazing staff. Can recommend places to go. Clean and tidy hotel. Definitely staying here again. It 10 min walk to bourbon Street. Only thing that bugs me is changing of towels every day and taking the soap away. I just think hotel could be a bit more environmental friendly. Like if you want the towels changed to leave them on the floor. But it just a thing of mine that's all. It 100% a great hotel.

The International House Hotel is one of the most unique and cozy personalized boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It was very Artsy, but not pretentious, luxury feel. And the people that work there are obviously hand-picked and very personable. Every time I go to New Orleans I will stay at this hotel! I would like to book this hotel for an event in the future?

Just visited Banksy Looters restored artwork.
Banksy Looters has been restored as detailed in the Banksy Room step by step. It's in the lobby of this hotel, well displayed, and preserved. Visitors are welcomed and not questioned.
The surprise comes to the right of the piece called The Banksy Room with information about Banksy, various quotes and phrases from Banks, and a photographic timeline of the restoration of Banksy Looters, The piece itself is worth seeing by itself but The Banksy Room makes it a special visit.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is. Our room was gorgeous! High ceilings, very spacious and a shower big enough to have a party in. I will definitely be coming back.

The Lobby of the Hotel was very Clean and Welcoming … the presence of Musical instruments immediately caught my attention (a Djembe, Congas, an Acoustic and a Fender Guitars were also available for Guests to play … that drew me like a Magnet do 🥴🤗😂)

The Wall Decors and Furnitures were all carefully selected to match the Aura of the Building & its Architectural Designs … huge Mirrors, Comfy Beds were all a plus.

Thank you SEAN for making our stay a Memorable One to Treasure. We surely will come back to this Classic INTERNATIONAL HOUSE Hotel in New’Leans!💕🤗😇👏👏

Everything about this hotel met or exceeded our expectations. Chris, George, and Ramon at the front desk were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our room and the accommodations. These guys are a huge part of what makes this a great hotel. Also, thanks to the bellman, Noah, who was personable and very helpful. Lastly, this location was so convenient to all of the local landmarks. I highly recommend the International House Hotel!! Perfect boutique hotel in the thick of it all.

Stayed in the Penthouse 4 after we had to leave our room at their sister location due to AC and TV issues. The room was amazing! Wonderful views from every window and the terrace, extremely comfy bed (and I'm very picky about my bed), mini fridge actually kept drinks cold, huge couch that was just as comfy as the bed, gorgeous chandeliers in living room, dining room and over the tub. 1 1/2 baths with a massive garden tub and separate shower. Cable on 2 HD TVs. And much much more.

The staff were awesome! Interacted with 2 engineers who were helpful and understanding. Also huge shout-out to Raymond at the front desk who was just amazing at solving the issues we had.

Location is great. 2 blocks from Canal. At least 2 convenience stores close by. We parked at the garage P193 about 1/2 block from hotel. 24 hours was about$30. I drive a large SUV and have had issues with some garages being too narrow but that's not the case with this one. Plus it's safe; seen security checking multiple floors on numerous occasions.

Overall this is just a WONDERFUL hotel and it's highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I stayed here a couple weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised by how amazing the customer service was — you don’t see that often these days. They were so accommodating and understanding when we had an issue with plane cancellations. Plus, the hotel is lovely and so is the bar. Location is also great. We love visiting New Orleans and this will be our go to spot! Thank you!
