After over 3 years of friendship and service, Courtney, has delivered for me time and time again. I’m now 30 years old and have had multiple cars on my policy. She has helped me save the most money by recommending my Cadillac or Mercedes go on layaway service while utilizing my daily. She is always looking for ways to save me money and she delivers! For 20 plus years I used this agency for my Homeowners & Term life policy and paid my policies religiously. When my term life policy reached it's term I decide not to renew. I inadvertently let my homeowner's policy lapse (thinking my cancellation notices were for my Term life policy). When I realized my mistake I called the office to renew my homeowner's policy and was told they would have to call Erie since policy had expired. I was then told they wouldn't renew it because my boiler was "too old"!!...I told the office person thanks for your help after all the years of business I had given them and helping me out when I needed it! I never received a phone call telling me my homeowners policy was cancelled ..the story has a happy ending as I ended up getting a cheaper policy thru Geico ...so much for loyalty to someone who had done business with this office for years and had I claim in almost 30 years!!

Do you like having a responsible insurance agency? If so, DO NOT go anywhere near DL Townsend Insurance. My wife and I were married in November of last year and went on our honeymoon directly after. The week after thanksgiving, we called about bundling home and auto insurance policies. The clerk informed us that because we had not immediately changed our marital status, that they could cancel our policy. We filled out all of the forms immediately to the office informing them of my coverage and personal information. They take 3 months to respond to us and ask that we fill out additional information and give us less than 10 days to respond. We respond within the week with the necessary paperwork. Months later, we receive an additional charge for the "change" in policy due to marital status (basically penalizing us for getting married) and a new insurance card. Great, we pay that additional charge. THEN, the office has the audacity to send a notice of non-renewal due to lack of response from us....you'd better believe they cashed the check we sent to them and have been anything but communicative.

DO NOT trust these people to work with you well. They're anything BUT trustworthy.
