Captain's Pizza Shelton

Excellent Food been going to Captains for years at some of their various locations throughout
Fairfield county. Stopped at this location last night and was not let down. The food was great.
their Greek Gyros 🥙 are some of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a lot Greek festivals and diners
and none compare nice long thick shards of lamb pita 🥙 very packed and filling . The steak fries were right
on the money💰 .Restaurant has great atmosphere as well would suggest anyone looking for Greek food when in
the area to stop here. Their pizza 🍕 is really good too 👍

Best pizza in area. Been to nearly every place in and around Shelton and Captain's Pizza continues to remain my favorite year after year. They have excellent entrees and some of my favorite salads in the area in addition to their amazing pizza. Friendly staff and owner too.

We eat outside the the server was great she was very attentive but not overbearing.eather was beautiful

Consistently good food. Our experience is primarily based on delivery. It takes usually 60 minutes for delivery at lunchtime (but it's worth the wait).

The pizza is terrific, bombas if you like a little kick to it. The gluten free pizza is also quite good. They also offer an ultra thin crust, which is our favorite for regular crust.

But, look beyond the pizza and you will find quite a deep menu. For appetizers I liked the eggplant stack and the broccoli rabe and sausage. The blackened chicken sandwich is also one to order again.

Delivery is good, arriving hot. They request a 15% gratuity for delivery.

This is one of our go to restaurants, especially during the pandemic.

Pizza is really good not to greasy crust is not to thick..would definitely go again..

I always love their pizza! This time I went with a Cesar Salad with Grilled chicken and it was awesome. I ordered pick up and food was hot and ready when I arrived!

In response to the womans review below about gluten since we can’t respond to each other:

First off, Captains Pizza is amazing. Everything from the owner, the staff, the food.

Secondly, I HAVE Celiac. You literally ordered a gluten free pizza with chicken Marsala. Did you specifically ask when you ordered if they could make it flourless? Regular people order gluten free pizza but gluten toppings ALL the time! There’s so many different diets out there. That’s why you need to SPECIFY if you have an allergy!
You need to ask twice on how something is made.

It blows my mind that someone with celiac would order chicken Marsala, it’s a gluten filled dish; let alone not even make sure the place could accommodate the allergy and not use flour.

Cozy little place in Shelton right on Bridgeport Ave. Prices are decent and the staff are courteous. The food tastes good and is fresh. There is a small bar to have a drink or bring the family for dining room seating. The outdoor patio seats a few tables as well. Avoid the dinner rush or the place will fill up before you get there.

Great pizza, and the employees are always friendly and very welcoming. Without hesitation would recomend.

We had 8 adults for lunch. We all ordered different things. The food was great and the waitress got it all right! Very friendly and quick.

The service was perfect,food was great and 🍷 was fine! I drove up from Fairfield being that I've eaten there before after a meeting. I had the urge and felt like taking a drive.

Great pizza, friendly staff and they even had garlic...Great for an inexpensive lunch and great taste.
