THE CAKES are so much better..I had to ask a coworker where they bought a birthday cake from and was shocked it was Shelton BIG y..Now I go there a lot for lunch !Store is Always CLEAN! I worked in the Ansonia store..sad it left that Location

Ordered a PATCHWORK cake 🤔
When I say, DELICIOUS..... This cake served 8 people. Light, airy, tasty and unapologetically delectable. I believe that everyone should taste this cake at least once in their lifetime.

Lots of variety of products and groceries. If you're spacific about a soap or an item that you cannot find in BJ's are Costco then you will find it here. The vegetable and fruits are very fresh. The bakery is acceptable. The cost is fair, yes you can get stuff for cheaper somewhere else but the price difference is not that big. I love their fresh hand squeeze orange juice

Best fruit best meats and seafood out of all the food store chains ,as many of them u will see dif prices but u know u pay for quality as this chain Def has the best most freshest foods out I highly recommend

So glad this location exists. The blonde lady at the bakery helped me first thing in the morning buy a pull apart cake for my coworkers birthday. She was so helpful and sweet. I appreciate her and the store!

Beautiful Grocery store, but somewhat higher prices than competing stores. Some items that would be at other store may be missing. Great atmosphere with fresh look. Very well lit and much better than locations such as the Branford and North Branford stores. Staff were nice and willing to help.

Big Y market has just about anything you can imagine. Their seafood is fresh and meats especially. I love their deli and always get a couple of pizza slices for the ride home. Shopping always makes me hungry!, I'm a plant freak and always love their selection, from lilies to roses, I'm a goner! Last visit a customer and I noticed the strawberries were only $1 a pint! I love fresh strawberries! What a deal! 😍

Very clean and friendly store. The employees here seem to care a lot and always help me whenever I need assistance. They all seem to be very knowledgeable about their products and its always a pleasure to come here. Highly recommend using the Express Checkout app as it makes shopping so much quicker and easier and it helps me budget as I shop

Nice clean store, easy parking. Little pricey but it's safe and has everything I need.

The lady in the bakery, purple hair, made me a cake today, I REALLY wanted to suprise my wife at the last minute and I hadn't thought ahead, so I stopped in and she made me a fresh cake in minutes, I'm so happy that you have a person like that working for you. I hope she never leaves, she is such a great asset!

Big Y is honestly my favorite grocery store shopping experience. Store is clean, beautifully laid out, and has lots of options for both a tight budget and a gourmet date night. (Tip: always check the weekly ads and load digital coupons!) Also, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I shop here whenever I can for my weekly groceries, and I highly recommend it! Bonus points for selling Kewpie mayo (my fave Japanese mayo brand). :)

My Dad is currently going through cancer treatment and we all know with that our appetite changes.. the one thing he seems to enjoy and will not say no to is the veggie pizza from your store! The staff who answers the phone are always so nice and professional which is a big bonus! Btw I order enough for him to freeze and enjoy throughout the week! Best pizza ever! Thank you
