Tiger Bowl is a small, intricately designed Chinese Restaurant located on the Southport-Westport border on Post Rd next to Michael's and Village Bagels.

The service is impeccable service is unmatched but the food is what takes this place to the next level. There are dozens of Asian Restaurants in the area, but the freshness, and unique combination of herbs, spices and cooking techniques makes Tiger Bowl stand out.

The fried chicken delights(IE Sesame, General Tso, Lemon, Orange, etc) are unlike your standard chinese fair. Unlike other restaurants the crispy fried chicken is crispy on the outside, but magically soft in texture on the inside. There is a certain fluff to the inside of the chicken, almost similar to a corn dog batter. The soups are perfect for a cold winter's day, and the beef dishes shine as well. My only critique is with the bonelesss ribs and spare ribs. Thought cooked nicely the sauce is a bit heavy and way too sweet.

In an area oversaturated with restaurants this is THE Go-To for delicious Chinese food for the whole family. They currently do not allow guests to dine in(thanks Covid) but are available for takeout and delivery 7 days a week.

Nice and cozy place to eat. Food was very yummy and the staff was very nice. But what took it from 4 stars to 5 was very lovely soft toilet paper in their clean bathrooms.

My favorite lunch spot when I’m craving Chinese. I also was the sesame chicken it’s so good with lots of sauce

the boneless spareribs smack. Pad Thai is so-so, but the lunch special spareribs are amazing.

We had a group of 7 and were treated very well. The apps, tea, and entrees were good and fresh. Highly recommended.

You can order online (I've done this), you can call take out and eat there. We've ordered using these different methods countless times. They deliver fast too. To be fair, we live 5 minutes away from the place. If you eat there, especially on the weekends, they have a table where you can sample certain foods. If you're Asian and tell them that you prefer it cooked the Asian way - they'll accommodate your request. Foods are served hot, not salty, not spicy unless you specifically order one. Others may prefer to add quantity to the servings portions, but I'm content with it. Be aware their dishes are at least $4.00 more than the average Chinese restaurant charges. This is not a wine place either.

Terrible service. Host messed up my delivery order and refused to acknowledge or take responsibility. I told him how I have been a customer for over 10 years and he did not care. Never eating there again. I hope the owner knows who was working the phone on Saturday, February 2, 2019 between 6:30 and 7pm. I have been going to Tiger Bowl since I was a child and this leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

EDIT: I apologize for this original review. After a long break, I have since returned to eating from Tiger Bowl restaurant, yet since then I have always found them to have quite decent service. I have changed the Stars to a 5.

Best takeout Chinese I think I’ve ever had! Every item we got was a 10/10 and either the best I’ve eaten or quite close to it! This will for sure be our new go to place

Only been here a few times but always had a great experience! Food is good and affordable. Workers are very nice and pick-up times are quick. :)

The best just keeps getting Better. Finding a good chinese restaurant based on Quality, Quantity and Price Tiger Bowl wins! If you want to spend unreasonably high prices for Chinese food be my guest. Mr Bao Chen is a pillar in the community as far as I'm concerned!

Consistently good food for the multiple times I've come. Eating out is fine, I feel like you get a little more when you dine there. The hot tea they give you is good and a nice touch. Its hard finding a Chinese place that my wife enjoys as much as I do - this is the only one so far in the Westport-Fairfield-Trumbull area we've agreed on. The Gen Ching's and Tso's are both awesome!!!

Takeout and delivery only at this time. Excellent moo shu pork and general tsao chicken was great also and cold noodle with shredded chicken was excellent.

Food is always fresh and the best Chinese takeout in the area that is affordable.
