RaonJena Coffee & Dessert

A quaint and quiet spot within the expansively characteristic building at Glen Lochen in Glastonbury. This is a place where you feel like you can sit and do a days work at your laptop, yet let your hair down at their advertised open mic night, put a record on the record player or read one of the many books they have ready to peak into.

I love this place. It's always clean and bright. Service is great and their gorgeous deserts are impossible to pass up. I always leave with at least 2+. Their deserts arent super sweet, which is what i like. They have a nice subtle sweet flavor to them without being tasteless. I've only had their coffee twice and those were fine. Not super strong but good enough to have with the treats.

It used to be a very small cafe but have recently expanded. And holy smokes, the place is now super huge with an open feel to it. Its beautiful. Found in the Glen Lochen building, which I believe is a hidden gem of a building. I recommend this awesome Cafe.

I went on an obsessive bingsu search this summer, and RoanJena was the only place I could find anywhere near me that has it. I drove 45 minutes to get some, and it was worth it. The shop itself is very cute, all of their desserts look really nice, and the atmosphere is lovely, full of plants and such. Took a while for the bingsu to come out, but it tasted great. Will definitely go again sometime when I'm in the area!

Great place to grab a drink and work on a project. I love all the plants, books, and records. The food is some of the best I've had at a coffee shop, definitely recommend the crepe cake. I'm glad they're doing more events like the open mic night, it's a great space to build community.

love love love this coffee shop. It's my go to place to work remotely. The barista's are always warm and welcoming. I have never had a bad latte here. It's always solid. The space is bright and comfortable. It's the perfect balance of being busy and full of people, but yet there is always a place to sit. I haven't had any of their food, so I can't review that, but their coffee is always on point time and time again!

Absolutely beautiful shop! From the plants to the record playing music to the friendly staff! Sandwich was delicious and so was the hot cocoa! Can't wait to come back.

I wish I found this place sooner. Wonderful coffee, great atmosphere, and amazing pastries. So far I've had various flavors of cream puffs, macaron, and some Asian cakes. I can't wait to come back and try more of their creations!

I always make sure to stop by this place whenever I’m in the area. They have such a unique selection of pastries and the coffee is so good! It’s also very beautiful inside. Great place to chill out or get some work done.

My husband and I visited recently and absolutely loved the vibe! So many awesome plants to make this place so cozy. Plenty of seating so dining in and hanging out is not a problem. Great baked goods and food choices as well as a nice drink menu. Looking forward to visiting again!

It's my first time here and I already want to come back! Unique drinks like the taro latte and toffee iced latte were out of this world! The dessert selection was tempting so I ended up will a vanilla cream puff. It was fluffy and sweet! The decor of the cafe is adorable minimalist chic. Great for anyone who likes those Instagramable moments. I came here about 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and they were pretty busy. Looks like a great place for anyone finding a place to study or get some work done too. The service was great and cashiers were helpful with suggestions. Give this place a shot caffeine and sweets lovers!

Got the Bulgogi sandwich and taro cream puff today and they were so amazing! The brown sugar boba drink tastes a lot like honey milk. It was a nice sweet treat!

This is my ultimate pregnancy craving… this place has me in a choke hold. The taro latte and sakura latte is delish 😋 the pastries are so light, delicate and tasty. Service is friendly and quick.

don’t forget to check out the plants! they have some great house plants for sale for decent prices.

While I haven't had the coffee, I can say the food is amazing. I had a strawberry shortcake and tiramisu, both of which are made with delicate care and great flavors. The entire establishment has a modern vibe, clean, plenty of seating, and friendly staff.

You can get receipts sent to your email or phone which I prefer in all honesty. I would highly recommend trying as they are a nice quiet place to sit, eat, and grab a coffee.

After a revisit for more than just food, I can confirm they make amazing drinks as well! A very nice atmosphere to meet up with friends before an outing. I highly encourage trying the Matcha Latte it was delicious!

Delicious, beautiful, with lovely houseplants and a mini library, this is the place I want to be all of the time!

Amazing coffee shop, with desserts that taste as picture perfect as they look. The owners are beyond wonderful people. Attention to detail goes into every product. You may wait an extra minute for coffee, but it will be the most amazing cup of coffee ever. They not only have coffee but tea as well. The owners are all about having people experience something new. If you haven't tried this place yet, go there, grab some eats, they have breakfast too!

I love the environment here. I can always focus really well for work or just enjoy reading a book here. The staff is great to talk to and very friendly. Highly recommend the croissants and matcha. The coffee is good as well. I love how they are open later in the afternoon. My only complaint is that sometimes if they run out of drip coffee, they won’t brew another batch even 2 hours before closing. I understand not wanting to waste coffee but it can be frustrating if you’re not wanting to order a more expensive option.

First time ordering a Taro mousse cake and it was totally worth it! The consistency of the cake was amazing, unlike any other cake we have tried. The layers of cake were just the right amount of moist and the mousse flavor was great. We asked to add the fresh fruits at the top as well

I’m returning to this review months later, because I’m in a different coffee shop and just thought, “man, this place just can’t compete with RoanJena.”

I wish I still lived in the area, because this would be my go-to place for concentrating on work and taking meetings. One of the best interior designs for a coffee shop I’ve seen. Friendly couple running the bar!

The cafe rotates their dessert menu often so it's fun to try new items. I love their shaved ice, macrons, and lattes. The cafe is always clean and staff are friendly.

This is by far the best coffee shop in the state.

A cappuccino comparable to the other top third wave shops like GIV, silk city, grounded, etc.

But what really sets it apart is the constantly rotating bakery selection and the location. Imagine your local third wave shop but 2-4x the square footage and half the number of weekday patrons sitting at tables. It's not unheard of to sit at a table at noon on a weekday and have no one else within 15 feet of you.

Plus the pants are dope.

The Asian fusion desserts were so good without being overly sweet. They has a record player past the counter playing some good tunes and the feel is relaxed and good for families or friends.
