Stop & Shop

This is definitely my favorite Stop and Shop to. I found it by accident when I pressed the wrong selection in my GPS, as there is another one on Main Street that isn’t that much further away. It’s location makes it a bit off the beaten path, but I feel that the works in its favor. Kind of a hidden gem. Never too busy, always very clean, staff is friendly, and generally a larger selection of higher quality brands than the average S&S. Great recycling center.

This stop and shop is the best in Hartford county besides the one in Unionville. Clean and better clientele.

All employees are wearing masks. Very friendly employees and the manager is always on the floor making sure everyone is getting good customer service. Fresh produce. A nice selection of more gourmet offerings and organic food. Very clean and pleasant. Thea stir fry bar isn't open right now, but we really enjoyed that when it was open and look forward to it being open after the pandemic.

This is my favorite S&S location. The parking is easy to get in and of and the actually store is laid out very nicely. There is always a good selection of grab and go - and all my favorites are always available. The self check-outs were added not too long ago and make quick visits so productive. Peoples Bank is located inside too for quick banking.

New store looks amazing. Very modern. Bars to get salad or hot food is back, selections are great. Kitchen area where you can have stir fry made right there while you wait. And of course sandwiches and chicken etc. Be prepared to spend some time, floor format is different but really looks great. Hopefully all Stop and shops follow suit.

Living in South Glastonbury is a first for me I'm used to live in an area where most of these things are in walking distance or by bus route. I have just over an hour walk to the Stop & Shop off of New London Turnpike we're actually the first bus stop is unfortunate for me but I have to say out of all the Stop & Shops I've been to this one is absolutely the best they have the best cuts a fish the best cuts of steak. extremely clean and organized. Very good customer service even at the People's Bank inside. It's that Stop & Shop where they actually have like a whole swordfish where you can pick the cut you want. I rarely leave comments on places but when they deserve it they deserve it and this store definitely earned my five star vote

The Stop and Shop on Oak Street in Glastonbury is a clean, well run, well stocked and friendly store. I shop there more often than the East Hampton store even though it's further away specifically because of how well they treat me as a customer. The staff take pains to make sure they are helpful and courteous. The morning manager does a great job keeping the aisles clear and the shelves stocked. I see him about a dozen times during the half hour or so that I'm there each week. He does a great job and is on top of things.

Although the staff was not helpful with my issue, a member did call the manager to speak to me. She immediately resolved my problem in the best way she could, with grace and compassion as well (I am sorry I do not remember her name, but she was on shift Sunday 5/3/20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Street S & S in Glastonbury, CT). What a lovely women who turned my awful experience into something positive. Just as you are losing faith in humanity, a beautiful person walks into your life to remind you that kindness and hope still exist!

What can I say that's unexpected about a supermarket? This location is clean and well stocked. I wish they would have more cash registers open but the self-checkouts rarely have problems (like things not scanning or the machine taking forever to process). All in all, a good Stop & Shop location.

I would like to give your deli department a huge compliment. It's clean and the customer service is very good. I believe there names are Nick and Christina that actually helped me with my order and who ever made the loaded potato salad knows what there doing....

Glastonbury Stop & Shop is outstanding! I walked in and it was as if I stepped into Whole Foods, but better. They offered a nice food bar, fresh produced and great customer service. What a nice experience. It would be great to have Stop & Shop duplicate, particularly in their urban community stores.

Nice shop, good customer service and great food choices. Prices feel a little on the higher side vs Shoprite, but not sure about this. I am basing my thoughts mostly on comparing prices of flowers.

This is about one of the staff members at Stop and Shop. His name is Carmen. I went in last night to pick up a few things with a few friends and when we got to my car the battery was dead. I asked a few people and was having no luck when a car pulled up next to me. It was Carmen. He said he saw someone completely ignore me asking for help. He was so helpful i can't thank him enough! I don't know what i would have done if he didnt save the day! I am very grateful to him. To have people completely ignore me when asking for help is so sad Carmen restored my faith in humanity! Stop and Shop is very lucky to have him as an employee. To go out of his way to help a customer is priceless! That shows who he really is!! Thank you very much Carmen, don't ever change!

Great selection , friendly staff and good prices. Very convenient one stop shopping. Self checkout is the way to go. Produce dept is hit or miss.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! An employee named Nate is always smiling and very friendly, and today helped me out tremendously by helping me load my groceries into my car so I could put my baby in the car seat. Thank you Nate, you made my day!

This place is great. The staff is always polite and helpful. They KNOW the store and all its areas. Marty the Manager is right there helping out, bagging, directing traffic, etc. You name it He does it!!!!!
