Buffalo Head Park

One of my favorite little getaways when you don't have time to go far. I've seen great horned owls, a silver tip fox, mallard ducks, and lots of other wildlife there. There is also at least one little black bear that lives in that area but I have not seen him myself. I've always known it as Grandview park.

When you’re in this park, it feels like you’re deep in glacier park, when in actuality your just in a city park!

Beautiful place

It's a nice little park, but it needs some maintenance. The trail is heavily eroded from rainwater (honestly it should be paved this is a yearly occurrence) and there is always garbage lying around. Someone threw a shopping cart into the pond. Fishing is decent, but the weeds in the pond are so thick that later in the summer you'll get snagged on every cast.

Buffalo Head Park is a park on by the city of Kalispell that sits along Ponderosa Street and also just east of Glacier Church it's about 5.71 Acres of Green Space which includes small pond for fishing as well as Wildlife viewing and Hiking or walking it's a quaint little place that sits very close to Kalispell and this is a great place to get away and experience in nature without having to go very far
