West Shore Seafood

Been wanting to try this little gem for a while right by Bantam Lake. I had the whole belly clams and my wife had the fried oysters both delicious. The lobster biscuits not something I would rave about but ok. They are always busy so plan on waiting. We got here early with plenty of seating and still had to wait 30 minutes for our food all and all I say it was worth the wait. Keep in mind. They are open seven days a week but they do close from 3 o’clock to 4 o’clock for a break and do not serve during that hour.

First ever visit in early August on a recommendation from Winvian Farm staff. Awesome seafood experience in Bantam Lake area! Delicious entrees with something for every sefood fan. Swordfish sandwich, seared ahi tuna and seaweed salad are outstanding. Noticable casual community vibe under the tent and on the lawn. Local gem for regulars, very worth the time for visitors.

Update 5/25/23: Everything was excellent. Great place to stop when out for a drive.

Stopped for lunch after touring the Litchfield Distillery. Fish was really good; chips were a little soggy. Honeymoon tacos were excellent, as were the crab cakes. Stop here and eat with the locals!

Been driving by for years and finally stopped by for lunch for the first time. Wow! Food was delicious. I had the chicken tacos with a side order of cabbage and my wife had a cod sandwich with fries and a clam chowder. Everything was delicious. They had a tented and non tented outdoor seating area. The place was clean and the employees were very nice.
We will be coming back again.

We love this place. Order before arriving, if you can, because everything is made to order fresh and a 30 minute wait isn’t unusual. The fried shrimp and crab cakes are fantastic. So is the tuna. Outdoor seating only.

This place is truly a gem. From the time we arrived we were excited to explore the venue and eat from the explosive menu with so much variety. The food was amazing. Until we return!

We always have a great meal there. Fantastic value and outstanding food.

Awesome seafood stand that the locals patronize regularly. Hot or cold lobster rolls and a variety of other delectable fresh fresh fresh seafood choices and some non-seafood options. Counter order and sit outside on a picnic table under a tent or in the sun. Try the fries with chowder on top, sounds weird but it surprisingly works (like fries with gravy).

My weakness is their shrimp tacos, which I absolutely love. I get them grilled and it has corn, cabbage, cilantro, and their Chipotle sauce. Staff is friendly and helpful and the parking lot has lots of room. Nice outdoor area when weather cooperates, plus there is a window to order and a little market inside. I order ahead just for convenience and they've never let me down. It is wheelchair accessible, too, so fear not!

First-time visitor this afternoon, most definitely going to be a regular customer.
Excellent food but not absurdly priced.
Atmosphere is ok, although we were glad to have dressed warmly for the outdoor dining.

Always delicious shrimp & whole bellies! I was running late today, for take away, and the girls went out of their way to stay 10 minutes past closing, just to wait for me. Above and beyond service. Love this place!

Great food, good prices, very very nice people. Was just here the other day, 9-1-2023 had tried to get there sooner from last time! Anyone who complains is foolish. We don't live near an ocean and food is very fresh and great. I had oysters and i know it totally is awful to shuck them, but the person who did itwas great! If you are complaining about the wait, COME ON! What time of the season did you go? When all the tourists come out? The ONLY COMPLAINT I have is that fool who puts up foul language signs on the way there and I wish my grandchildren were not subject to that. Not the restaurants fault. Thank goodness, we turn our heads and enjoy the wonderful service and the BEAUTIFUL outdoors, not trashed by other garbage. And the wonderful stop for ice cream at Aruthusa! Another great place!

Great place to eat fresh seafood in an outdoor area, BYOB (or wine!) and enjoy a relaxing summer evening!

Cool place! First time going and while I do like some seafood, just not all of it. Still the Angus burger was cooked to order. Nice that it's a BYOB scene. Maybe for the next time. Heated tent is helpful for those cool evening's and picnic tables out back.

Beautiful outdoor grassy area with wooden picnic tables as well as a covered tent with seating.
Perfect on a summer night, BYOB, got take out but ate there because the scenery was so nice and the energy was good too, fish tacos were delicious and so was the carrot cake. Will definitely be back back next time with some chilled Prosecco and a big appetite.

What a great place just a couple miles away from home! I always drove by, but never made the attempt to stop and try it out.

Yesterday I took my mother in law and daughter for lunch and was presently surprised.

Pricing was fairly priced for seafood and the portions were great. We both got the fish tacos and my daughter the kids cod fish bites. Her order was huge which was great as we left with some left overs.

Seating was greatly spaced under a tent and they also had picnic tables on the lawn.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem seafood place go check them out! I will surely be back this summer.

Great seafood! The outdoor dining atmosphere is refreshing. As the days get cooler it's nice that they have a heated tent for some patrons to use.

Fish and chips were great! And it's BYOB so you can enjoy whatever you like with your meal.

I will be going back now that I have tried it and liked it very much!! 👍🙂

The atmosphere seems nice, I usually get my order to go but they have outdoor seating with a tent which im sure is wonderful. Food is delicious one of our favorite restaurants in Connecticut.
