Grey Area Tavern

First impressions were very good. Service was attentive and food was very good. Menu was what you would find in a tavern. Good variety and nice twists on favorites. The restaurant is still under construction but you have a choice of sitting outside on the patio. But clean and inviting.
The Tuna tar tar was done perfect. Beet salad with an amazing vinaigrette dressing!
Great job, we will be back

A delicious place to stop! Recommend the Mushroom Burger if you love mushrooms! The Prime Rib was a lovely special. A good selection of fun drinks! Will be back. You can't forget to order the Poutine.

Me and my girlfriend came here about a month or so ago after taking a hike in some of the local parks. The area is beautiful. We aren't from the area and just picked this place by looking at a map. How lucky we were!
Food first. The fried mozzarella was insane (as good as it looks in those pics) and they had me at that. I got the philly cheese steak Mac n cheese, but mine had fried chicken in it. Absolutely amazing. Chicken was cooked perfectly, The cheese sauce was very unique and tasty, and the presentation was perfect. Girlfriend had the Thai beef noodle bowl, and I can confirm from picking at it that it was delicious.
Very diverse menu with very impressive presentation on each dish, and each one is made as if its the house specialty!

Onto the more important topic, in my opinion: the people and the business is great. We had a fantastic waitress and we met the owner since we sat outside at a time when it was rather cold and no-one else would. He was a fantastic guy, and he just opened up the place in the midst of the pandemic. Tough time to start a business. This one deserves to succeed and deserves every bit of traffic it can get! Try this new spot out, you won't regret it. We would be regulars if we lived in the area!

I stopped at the Grey Area Tavern tonight for dinner as it is becoming one of my favorite places to eat. I ordered the Black Sea Bass special tonight. It was grilled over a generous bed of a mashed cauliflower that was paired with Brussels sprouts. I must say that I am not a typical cooked fish kind of guy but Lauren the waitress recommended it highly. It was one of the “best” fish meals I have had in years!! A MUST TRY if you are in the area and it’s on the specials menu!!! I will continue to sample the entire menu here.

My sister recently moved to New Hartford. We found this gem and have been going every Sunday. GREAT FOOD & DRINKS!!! So far everything we have tried has been soooooo good. The brussel sprouts are on point every time! Burgers are amazing! So happy to have found this spot! We recently met Paul the owner and the rest of the staff have gone above and beyond to make this place cozy and memorable. The background music is fun and relaxing. Thank you Grey Area Tavern for making this new restaurant a shining point in this pandemic!

Had dinner at the Grey Area Tavern last night. I had the pan roasted chicken with parmesan risotto and it was phenomenal. The people I was with had the pan seared salmon and the shrimp and scallop alfredo pasta. They both said their meals were amazing. Don't forget the dessert!! Chocolate lava cake with ice cream was fantastic. The Grey Area Tavern is a brilliant addition to the New Hartford area. I can't wait to go back!

This place was great. My wife and I were out on the bike and stopped off to give it a try.
Service was great, everyone working was very attentive. The menu was simple but everything we got tasted great and was cooked perfectly. We saw several other dishes going to other tables that looked great also. Aspyn was very personable. We will definitely be back there again.

This is an awesome new eatery in our beautiful area! Drinks are creative and tasty. Well priced dishes that are delicious! Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. So glad we dropped by!

Fried moz was really good. Great local restaurant, met the owner. He is extremely friendly and personable. Our waitress was very easy to talk to and the food was incredible. Great local business that deserves to be successful!

My boyfriend has Crohns and he was able to drink a delicious gluten free beer (unexpected) and they were able to accommodate his needs. Great service by Lauren and one of the only places open in town.

Went to the tavern on Christmas Eve day with a friend for some wine and appetizers - great service, food and pricing. Would definitely recommend and will fit any budget. Thank you!
