Jimmy's On the River

The look of this place from outside might be deceiving. It's actually nice inside and food might surpised you.

I came here with my Wife after one of other places were to busy and we didn't want to wait.

Place is pretty nice inside, currently they remodeling so don't judge it till you try it.

We were greeted but really nice, older Lady named Dori. She was really great, positive and helpful.

We both got steak and eggs, I also got kielbasa and cup of fruits. Food came delicious. Perfectly seasoned and really high quality meat.

It was so good that we came here next day (today).

Stopped by on a random busy day (packed house) and was taken care of promptly and efficiently. Amazing service overall, constant attention, and needs all met. Order Italian sausage burger with home fries, both delicious, plus coffee.

This diner/brunch restaurant feels like a 70s movie scene! Decorated all over with Baseball Bristol memorabilia, and everyone so cheerful to greet you when you walk in, it really is a treat to the town of Bristol. I had the pleasure of being introduced and invited from my neighbor and as you can tell from my empty plates, the food was SCRUMPTIOUS! Will definitely come again, great prices too!

The best breakfast..the coffee is the best, Jimmy take care you and make the best plates for you..you need to come and try. See the picture..I recommend to any one.

Back when i used to work for pepin steel i used to go here all the time for lunch when we weren't on the road ive only been here a hand full of times for breakfast but mostly lunch great place to grab a quick bite to eat in a very friendly atmosphere once the staff gets to know you they sometimes know your order right away and greet you by name when you walk in the burgers here are absolutely amazing they cook their burgers to the exact temp of your choice and always ask you if everything is good because they actually care and want you to enjoy your meal and time here

the only bad thing i could really say about this place is the parking lot is a bit small lol

This place is great!!! Has that small diner feeling. Always fill your coffee and the breakfast is always on point. We enjoy going here on a Saturday or Sunday morning when we can for a great breakfast

One recent morning, my little boy and I decided to go out for breakfast so we googled and found nice reviews for Jimmy’s on the River, just minutes away from our home. We got seated right away. They served coffee right away and kept checking if refills needed. I ordered Western Omelette and a pancake. My omelette was so yummy I ended up sharing it with my son. His pancake was delicious and the cook went the extra mile and made him a cute Mickey Mouse pancake. The prices are very reasonable and everything is made from scratch. Will return.

Very small quiet place with good service and food. Price's are not bad either.

Jimmy's is what a diner should be. Amazing breakfast, great prices and great staff. Best place to eat in Connecticut, hands down. Came here many times, and will keep coming back.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Prompt, friendly service. Delicious food with generous portions and the specials board is always worth a look. I'm generally a home-fried potato lover but the hash browns with onions are pretty darn good. Have been five times now and yet to eat anything I didn't want to order again.

Love the 3-XL egg omelettes, especially the tomato, spinach and feta one. Their corned beef hash is delicious. For lunch we love the Buffalo chicken wrap, large meaty chicken wings, and the hot Italian burger with hot peppers on a fresh bakery hard roll. Great family restaurant, freshly cooked meals and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, tentative to your needs. Decor is charming and decorated with Bristol’s history.

Amazing breakfast and friendly family owned business. Plate size pancakes, omelettes are delicious, love the spinach, tomato and cheese omelette, but the French toast is heavenly Too. So much too choose from. If you like hot you have to try the hand made Italian sausage burger with hot roasted peppers! Definitely a place to put on your bucket list.

Me and my son loved what we ordered. We had a veggie omelet, a cheese omelet and banana walnut waffles. They were all delicious and the home fries were perfectly seasoned

Excellent food and excellent service. The waitress was so accommodating, friendly and went the extra mile to be sure we were satisfied! Excellent fried mozzarella to! Well done!
