Dairy Queen (Treat)

Ahh, good old Dairy Queen! I have always thought that their soft serve is the richest and most pleasing. The Torrington stand never disappoints. Fast service at the walk-up window right off the sidewalk. Easy to park in their parking lot. There are no burgers, hot dogs, or other complications here. Just great cones, sundaes, blizzards, and other ice cream treats. Many happy faces are seen here. They close every year in the winter but return around St Patrick's Day.

Outdoor pickup and eat in your car mostly. Ice Cream is very good. Service was excellent 👌 For being in the city they do have some parking spaces. We go often.

Not a store, just a window. I love that you can get a mini size which is plenty for me. A bit pricey though.. $4.75 for a small smoothie. Would go back when in the area.

I love DQ icecream. The place is great. The workers and management are so friendly. With all the things going on in the world its so great to see happy friendly people greet you. I love the place the people and the great service. .plus the icecream is pretty good too🤣🤣. Lovely young lady waited on me today. I was getting a small ice cream for my dog to celebrate his birthday. The line was very long when I arrived, but the three servers dispensed with it very quickly. Great, efficient, friendly service. And, the ice cream is really good, to boot!!

This is my FAVORITE Dairy queen in CT. The people who waited on us were so polite and the place was spotless. They did a great job on my banana split, the banana were just right!!! My husband got a blizzard and it was so good with right amount of candy in it!!! I give it 5 stars and recommend if u are in Torrington, CT go to the Dairy Queen there & you will be as happy as we were!

The icecream is still as good as ever. It's an easy stop and go, when you want to fill your ice cream hole. ;-)

Ive been going here on and off since i was a child. Still the same love the small vibe, always friendly staff. Its unfortunate though that they cant make the previous years specials. Not knocking them just wish i could have had my smores blizzard this year lol.

Torrington DQ is the best of all Dairy Queen’s!!!! I travel to local DQs and order the cheesecake blizzard with extra cheesecake very frequently and this DQ gets it spot on everytime 👏🏽 Always a great amount, consistent and nice staff!

Such a same they have to close down for half the year. Dairy Queen is my favorite ice cream in town. Modestly priced, lots of options, and served by the most friendly staff! So glad today is opening day!!

My girlfriend and I decided to get some ice cream tonight, so we stopped at DQ. The line was about 4 people deep but moved fairly quickly. I got a cotton candy, and she got a peanut butter lover. They were both really good, although definitely not within the realms of my diet.

Best ice cream anywhere. Great selection and presentation. We are ALL fans and have been known to travel great distances to feed our Dairy Queen addiction!!!

Love this Dairy Queen! Staff is always friendly, and the ice cream is delicious. Love all the updating they've done in the past year, adding seating and nice plantings. I live within walking distance of Carvel, and still prefer to drive to this Dairy Queen. The new Dreamsicle dip is delicious too! They take cards as well as cash for payment, just fyi. 😊

Update; some owners/mgrs claim to really care. They go over the top while a customer is present or the brass.
Then there's the ones that have no knowledge of poor management. They never considered all the extra hours and work they put in. They never pay attention to the extra mile.
That's because it comes naturally. It's not taught. No OJT it's just in their dna.
The customers and employees at this Dairy queen are a fortunate bunch. Not only is the product excellent and produced in a really clean environment.
They have an owner that just gets it. She cares. That effect is felt by all. So if you want to snack where the moral is always high. The treats are the same as the 1st one ever made. And you value clean stations. Stop in.
This DQ is worth the ride.

I always enjoy coming here and getting a reeses blizzard, Parking lot is a bit tight so watch out when you go in and out of it. you order from a window but I dont think there are any benches to sit at when you get your ice cream, so I usually just put the tailgate down on my truck.

With everything going on with this world right now, you just look to be around loving, caring, compassionate people and I feel like Mike and Oliva which are the two workers who made ice cream cups for my guys and I are exactly that! I work for a group home in Torrington and with the virus going around, my guys are a little older in age making them more susceptible to catching it. They have been really sad about not being able to go out to work due to said virus. (GOD bless them they are REALLY sad about not being able to work) I felt that If I could just take them for a ride it would bring their spirits up and along the way who doesnt love ice cream?! so I called this particular DQ and explained my situation regarding my elderly individuals that I work for and they were MORE than accommodating. When I arrived, Mike, Olivia, and I had a short convo about everything goin on how it must be very difficult to try and just stay inside. I went to pay for the ice cream cups and they wouldn't accept my guys' money for the ice cream. It melted my heart to know that they cared that much and thanked me for caring enough about my guys to wanna cheer up their spirits. That's what makes this world keep spinning! THANK YOU MIKE AND OLIVIA! My guys and I thenk you very much for caring. THey definitely enjoyed the ice cream as well as I 🤗

Good place to cool off on a warm day with friendly staff.

This store continues to serve good old Dairy Queen ice cream while keeping it's 20th Century character. Going to this store, when compared to others across the state and nation, is more than an ice cream stop but an experience which makes a reason for someone to go into downtown Torrington. Strong supporter.

My husband and I had medium soft serve ice cream cones. Didnt realize that they were big. They were good.

We love Dairy Queen! There is a such a variety of treats there, everyone leaves happy!
