Mario's Tuscany Grill

We have been here twice in two weeks and we live 30 minutes away!! Love this place!! The service is incredible as is the food. The first visit was Salmon- amazing and tonight we tried the soup and pizza. The pizza was great - lite and crispy so yummy!!

Some of the best food I've eaten since leaving NYC. The veal was delicious, the marinara sauce, Perfect! Blue cheese dressing on the salad -Deliziosa. Italian bread warmed perfectly, butter softened, NOT hard as a brick(that's always annoyed me!!). Subdued lighting, and a very nice atmosphere. Service was top notch. My only gripe is this... We sat(4 of us) at a table surrounded by 2, maybe 3 Large parties of 6+ people, and it was difficult to hear our own conversation... Didn't matter while we were eating...we were much too busy enjoying the food. Excellent work Mario's chef's, and staff. EXCELLENT WORK! This restaurant will be added to our regular, and favorite places for Italian food. They also have steaks, and burgers too. .....Till next time.

Great family restaurant with delicious food. A secret children’s menu & a double secret pizza menu. We’ve enjoyed multiple meals and the food quality hasn’t wavered. For an area that isn’t known for top quality restaurants this one is a shiny star of great food at reasonable prices. Highly recommend calling a head for reservations for Friday, Saturday or Sunday night dinner.

Mario's is an absolute gem. The friendly staff, the interior/decor, and the owner make this such a warm and comfortable environment to enjoy with friends and loved ones. The bar looks like a great place for solo diners as well.

Harry and his staff made my family feel so welcome and cared for. Harry and our server made excellent recommendations based on our preferences and questions, and we loved everything we ordered. This is rare occurrence, particularly because my father is very picky when it comes to restaurant food.

Everything was very good, so any recommendations will ultimately just come down to personal preference. That said, for appetizers, I recommend the caprese salad and/or calamari. For the main course, you can't go wrong with any of the pasta dishes or steaks. And for dessert, I really enjoyed the Tiramisu.

There really aren't many restaurants like Mario's where you leave having satisfied your tastebuds, stomach, and soul.

Worth the trip because the owner - Harry, is the best! Freshly made entrées are good size portions of fresh ingredients and flavorful seasonings. Warm atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Twenty-one years in business shows how much the regulars and new customers appreciate the time and attention that go into every plate. Nice bar area next to the main dining room if you want to go a little more casual

Professional friendly bartenders and wait staff. Come in from the entrance to the take out park along street. It can seem busy but more room in bar and restaurant than you think. Wait time between sitting and drinks is 5 min. Offered sliced Italian bread with a spicy dip sauce that was delicious. Appetizers came 10 min later. Bar can hold 25 or more. Dining area another 50 plus. Martinis $10 were delicious poured right to rim. Draft has local and classic. Crab cake appetizers : 2 size of your hand - filled with crab. Hot and a little crunch on outside. Order their quesadillas and you have yourself a good dinner.

Always a great time at Mario's. The food is amazing. Whether I ordered a salad, a pizza, or an entrée dinner special. The food is fresh, the service is great, atmosphere makes you feel relaxed. The owners always come out to meet and greet their customers to make you feel welcome. This is the place to dine and have a nice night out.

Wonderful family dining experience, even with our rambunctious 2.5 year old. Impressively fresh ingredients and balanced flavors. Just enough sauces, not too much. I'm happy Winsted has such a nice place.

We made a reservation for ten people for an important family event. I was not thinking there would be anything great about this place, but as it turned out it was all perfect! Much more up scale and fancy than we thought which was great,. Much more busy than we thought, and the food and service excellent. Out table was ready, and our server handled our party very well. And we all thought the food was excellent.

Great classic Italian food. Warm and friendly atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Attentive and professional staff. Owners are always present and visible and also friendly. I wish I could bottle the classic Italian aroma.

Mario's is pretty delicious. I finally ventured into a new realm and tried their Fettuccine Alfredo and BOY! It was so delicious. Their pizza is amazing too. I love the bar atmosphere. I HAD to get a dessert, who could refuse chocolate cake with ice cream. If you're in the area and you're looking for good eats, this is a great option! Family friendly.

Started of with the appetizer with clams casino, mozz sticks & stuffed mushrooms. Asked if I can get all clams, no problem. Then ordered the penne all-a vodka with sun dried tomatoes & asparagus. Finished with mousse. Everything on point!

Nice place in the heart of Winsted. Well stocked bar, service was great and food was very good. Will definitely be back.

Warmly greeted by Sarah; and when I asked for a table versus a booth -- she was kind and gracious. Our server Al -- was the best of the best! Our meal was off the grid wonderful! Once again the Spedini was over the top exceptional, the calamari cooked to perfection. The two men had steaks; my husband the porterhouse special which was huge and he said delicious and perfectly prepared. Our nephew had the filet mike on and he said his was so tender and succulent. My seafood combination was oh so good; my favorite combination and with the pasta; I am always in heaven! While we were all claiming to be stuffed -- we made room for dessert. I had - just had to have tartufo. The dark chocolate covering with the dark chocolate ice cream was the perfect ending for me. My husband said the cheesecake delicious and the afagato for my nephew -- a perfect ending. You can never go wrong at Mario's -- the food is always perfectly prepared. And Al was an excellent server who made for a wonderful evening out.

From the time we arrived and were greeted to the moment that we left — everything was flawless. The food, the service — everything was wonderful. Our server Riley was an absolute delight. The dining room is lovely, clean and well kept. We all enjoyed the appetizers that we shared; the Spedini — is over the top exceptional with the fried mozzarella and mushrooms. You just want to lick the plate! Those that shared the meatball appetizer said that it was also delicious while we also shared the calamari. I had the Seafood Combination that was excellent, fresh and served hot; my husband had the veal florentine. He said it was one of the best meals ever. There was not one in our group who was not delighted and happy. Chicken parm, eggplant parm, a veal special— everything was over the top wonderful. When you can — go to Mario’s — this was our first time and it will certainly not be our last! We loved it; and, look forward to returning. We so enjoyed our server Riley and the entire ambiance!

Absolutely DELICIOUS! Fast and friendly service, big menu, high quality food, and excellent reasonably priced drinks. I got the Milanese and the chicken was perfectly cooked in a nice light sauce.

First time here after hearing good things. We got the fettuccine Alfredo and the gourmet pizza (white) to share. The alfredo is a huge portion which is awesome of course. The pizza was the star. It was so good. I wish the crust was seasoned more but other than that no complaints. Service was awesome as well, very attentive.

We had very good dinner, we will come back to this place
