Went here on a date. The food was amazingly delicious. Service was great too! Even though we ordered non-alcoholic drinks the bartender was amazing. You can tell he's passionate about what he does and he made us feel very welcome at this place. If you're in the area and want to try out great Indian food - GO HERE.

My family and I have been going to Coromandel for many years and their food is always phenomenal. The ambience, food presentation and service is top notch. The new cocktail flight is absolutely delicious and they are one of a kind flavors that you will not find anywhere else. Mathew and his staff are super attentive and helpful, they provide exceptional service each and every time. They even went above and beyond and personalized a dessert for my birthday. If you’re looking for amazing food, a friendly staff, and a great environment, I highly recommend Coromandel.

I haven't been to Coromandel in a number of years. I used to go to the old location in Fairfield many years ago, but I was pleased to hear that the Fairfield chef is actually in the kitchen here in Orange.

The food and the service here was top notch. The owner, Matthew, was attentive and gracious and welcomed us with a few treats while telling us a bit about some of the items that we ordered and where they originated from in India.

To start, we had the Chicken 65, which was incredibly flavorful and had the right amount of heat that didn't detract from all of the other beautiful flavors. The strawberry lassi tasted so fresh and sweet, it definitely has become a new favorite.

For our mains we ordered the Murgh shahi korma (chicken), the Mangalorean Kori Gassi, the Malabar Parotta, and the cheese naan. The korma and the cheese naan were both easily our new favorites compared to some of our usual Indian haunts, and the kori gassi was so well seasoned and spicy. I really like that the rice comes with bits of fried onions and peas in it, and everything is so incredibly savory.

For dessert, we tried the vermicelli payasam which so creamy and delightful - I may like it more than my usual choice of kheer. The ginger and coconut caramel flans were both very good. The fresh bits of ginger in the flan is definitely unique and not something we'll likely find at other places, but the coconut was just such a pleasant dessert to savor. To finish off the evening, Matthew recommended that we try the Madras coffee, which he described aptly as an Indian cappuccino. I typically add sugar or sweetener to my cappuccinos, but this absolutely did not need anything added to it. The coffee had this wonderful sweetness to it, almost like a deep caramel flavor that was so smooth to drink. Definitely a great choice to end the meal.

We will absolutely be back to try many of the other items on this stellar menu.

My husband and I decided to try this place for our 25th wedding anniversary! They did not disappoint! The atmosphere was amazing as well as the service. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. The manager took the time to make our evening extremely special by bringing out a nice dessert!!! He even remembered our names.

We had the most amazing time at coromandel. The food is spectacular and the service is amazing. One of the best tasting South Indian dishes I have ever had and was worth the drive over from New Hampshire. Portion size is very filling and worth it, if you don’t know what to order, the staff can help you to pick out delicious items right off from the menu. For sure we will be stopping by more often while traveling in this area. It’s a good place to celebrate memorable days for sure!

Thank you Coromandel & team…!! 👍🏽

The most memorable experiences are the ones you stumble upon when you least expect them. Dining at Coromandel was one such experience for us.

We happened to visit Coromandel looking for a quick bite before retiring after a long day of work. My husband is a foodie and a Bong. Even before we settled down, I knew it was going to be anything but a quick bite!

The ambience was great and the staff was very welcoming. They offer a great variety of Indian cuisine covering the length and breadth of India. Their cocktails menu included an eclectic selection of cocktails which were all very unique. Each cocktail stood out in its flavor. The mixologist, Mr. Santhana, came over and explained his process and how he draws from his couple of decades of experience working across the globe and how he sometimes gives an Indian twist to some of his cocktails. I think we ordered Satrangi Kebab to go with the drinks. The dips and chutneys accompanying the Kebabs all had some twist to the traditional recipe. The serving staff was exceptional and they were very happy and present! We were served by Sajith, who was very sweet and he discreetly kept an eye on our table and never kept us waiting nor hurried with our food. For the main course we had a simple biryani and raita - again with very subtle flavors.

Mr. Mathew, the owner, was busy running around and picking the load on a busy weekend. He still managed to drop by at our table for a chat and told us a little bit about his journey. It is impressive how he has treated the Indian cuisine with so much love and care. Mr. Mathew and Mr. Santhana are veterans in the field and their passion shows in Coromandel! I would not hesitate to say that Mr. Santhana is truly an accomplished artist.

I would very much love the Coromandel team to consider opening a place in Austin :-D

One of the best Indian restaurants in New Haven. Ambience is cool. It’s sort of fine dining Indian. They have extensive menu to choose from. Lot of vegetarian options. They serve good cocktails and have lot of dessert options to satisfy your sweet tooth craving!! I have been here a couple of times, always had great experience.

I had the best experience at Coromandel, at Orange, Ct. I came down from Nashua, NH with my family to try this food. It is one of the best South Indian dishes I have tried. The staff were really prompt and were very helpful in suggesting the signature dishes. We tried almost all the signature ones and some other and I have to say nothing was disappointing and everything was delicious. We really enjoyed the meal and recommend you to try this restaurant for some delicious Indian flavors.

Delicious food, fantastic staff, and nice decor.

When most of the clientele are Indian, you know that you’re at the right spot for delicious authentic Indian cuisine 😊

We started with the Coromandel Platter (for 2) as an appetizer and it was a great variety of chicken, and lamb items. I loved everything except the chicken wings. I feel like they didn’t add anything to the platter. Everything else was excellent.

Also tried the Beef Rogan Josh (beef curry) and the Laal Maas (lamb curry). Both dishes were fantastic and would highly recommend them. The meat was tender and the sauce had a little bit of a spicy kick, but nothing crazy.

Naan bread was fresh and fluffy.

The servers were very polite and attentive.

I had a wonderful experience from Coromandel at Orange, Ct. I came all the way from New Hampshire just to try this restaurant out for New Year. I was really satisfied with the food here. All the food were scrumptious, especially the tandoori shrimps. The drinks that we had was also great I had screaming Mimi, it was a non-alcoholic drink it is a great and perfect choice. The Porotta was crispy and soft just the authentic way. The servers were really polite and were really friendly. They pointed out the signature dishes, and they were really good. We got new year hats and beads to get into the festive spirits as we welcomed 2023. I would visit this place again and highly recommended.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience celebrating my boyfriend's birthday last night just the 2 of us. Food was an 11/10, service was great, and they even came out with a dessert for his birthday as well as a dessert drink. The drink flight was very unique flavors and the entire dinner was just a wonderful eating/drinking experience. The cost was not bad at all and we were both pleasantly stuffed and still have leftovers to enjoy. The tikki masala was so delicious and the garlic naan too. Highly highly recommend!!

Fantastic lunch special! We are regulars for takeout as we love Indian food and while there are a dozen Indian restaurants closer to where we live Coromandel is the best. We stopped in for lunch today after a Drs apt and so glad we did! Their lunch “box” special was perfect - choose one dish from a nice selection of popular items and it came with rice, soup, a small side, salad and bread! The portions were generous, food delicious (as always) and the presentation delightful. I wish I had taken a picture. Will definitely be back for lunch!
