I loved the great customer service and the calm, simple, clean and "cottage-like" atmosphere. The food was creatively placed on every plate and was delicious! We celebrated my brother's 60th birthday and we all enjoyed it. It's a little difficult to find because it's not on the main drag. You have to go behind a parking lot and make a few turns - GPS was wrong. It's a small, lovely place with charm- a little gem - will return!

Every meal I’ve had here has been incredible— a true fine dining experience in an unpretentious, cozy space. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is simply amazing. Great for a romantic meal, or for a special occasion.

Food was delicious and very polite and friendly staff. Its a small cozy place with a very relaxing ambience. Great for date nights. Probably not the best place to bring kids or large parties of 6 or more. Making a reservation in advance is recommended.

We had the cod crepe, scallop on crispy rice, lobster spaghetti and the… I forgot which white fish, but everything was so delicious. Service was also excellent.

Had an enjoyable brunch here today. The eggs Benedict were perfect. Nice atmosphere, super helpful and attentive staff. We'll be back!

Such a great restaurant! The food is terrific here, you must get the brisket buns and the scallops on crispy rice. The lobster pasta is delicious, albeit something you can kind of get anywhere. The true standout of the meal was the martini I had- ice cold, just the way it should be served! Ambiance was great and since we went during Coronavirus it’s worth mentioning how clean this restaurant was.

I can’t encourage you enough to come here and try something outside your comfort zone. The food is second to none. Every bite has been meticulously thought through. Great fresh ingredients and a staff that truly enjoys working there. Would come here over and over again just to try everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. The octopus and braised pork belly is TO DIE FOR.

Flavor profiles are out of this world. Each dish is like the most pleasant smack in the mouth! I love the coziness and romance of this place too.The staff is kind and attentive and it's really just an incredible find. If you can get a reservation, try it. You're gonna love it👌

Terrific restaurant with great good, service and cocktails! The staff is very friendly and engaging. The memo from appetizers to dessert is delicious.

We had dinner here last week to celebrate my wife’s birthday and were both extremely impressed with the dining experience. Excellent service, delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented food dishes. The bottled wine list is expensive but has a very nice selection. The atmosphere is perfect and our server was delightful. We can highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

My partner and I dined here back in late February. The atmosphere was cozy and the service alone deserves five stars. Although we were one of the last reservations for the night, we in no way felt rushed by the staff. Everyone was friendly and had wonderful suggestions for what to try on the menu.
My partner and I agree the food was the best by far compared to any restaurant we have been to in Connecticut (and even other states). To start I had the the Wagyu Brisket Steam Buns and continued onto the delicious Lobster Spaghetti where I left not one bit of food on the plate. For dessert? The Pavlova. You will just have to try it to understand why it is so amazing.
The Cottage had everything necessary to create a wonderful dining experience for my partner and I. We left there with full stomachs and a smile on our faces. If you are looking for a meal that will leave a lasting impression, this is the place to go.

Went here for thanksgiving when it had a prix fixe menu, and I was blown away. Cozy atmosphere, phenomenal service, and outstanding dining. Will definitely be back.

An amazing and delicious good, top 5 best restaurants in CT, must try!!

We had a wonderful dinner here after getting a last minute reservation at the chefs counter. The menu is not only creative, but also very tasty! I really enjoyed the lamb loin with morels and the pastrami crepe. The steam bun was also great. Another diner recommended the squid appetizer. I will absolutely eat here again!

We ordered a myriad of dishes. Started with the gazpacho soup and the deviled egg. The gazpacho soup was unlike anything I've ever had. It was amazing. The deviled egg was the best deviled egg I've ever had. Second round we got the bacon and eggs and the beet salad. The bacon and eggs was such a unique and delicious dish, with dipping sticks for the egg and bacon mixture in the shell. While the beet was very good, it wasn't super unique like the other dishes. Next round was the waygu brisket. Highly recommend. Finished off with lobster spaghetti. Even though we were comfortably full, would still have like the larger portion for some leftovers. The drinks are also all amazing. We had 3 signatures and asked for a gin gimlet that was perfect. So happy with my meal here. Only downside would be that the place is a bit loud.

The servers have always made me feel welcome and their approach is casual and friendly (but not forced) it's more like casual friends. Their happy to answer questions about the menu and share their favorites. It's a nice place but doesn't have that horrible "stuffy" feel. It's a small restaurant so you feel cozy and warmth.

The menu is a reasonable size full of favorites you never knew were your favorites.

I highly recommend The Cottage for a date night, special occasion or even just drinks and snacks in the bar. It's relaxed, fun, but the food is what truly makes it a 5-star establishment.

Fantastic cuisine- delicious, creative both in ingredients and in appearance. Plentiful Prix Fix Thanksgiving Day menu. My family loved it. Service was efficient and friendly the entire meal! You will love it here!!

Menu was really interesting and I was torn between everything on it. Started with the crab bearnaise toast with the king salmon for an entree and apple tarte for desert. Also tried my wife's lobster spaghetti and toffee pudding. Had a cocktail called the figaro. All of it was spectacular.

Service was excellent and the complementary glasses of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary was an unexpected and nice touch.

Intimate setting that was perfect for the occasion, but also great for just a nice no-reason dinner.

Highly recommend.
