Jealous Monk

Hit the spot in every way for a post-aquarium outing with our whole family. We waited a bit for outside with apps and drinks until we could be seated, but didn’t mind since there are fire tables and a big outside area, including the outside bar with a TV screen of the beer menu. As for the menu, it’s well-executed brew pub fare and has an excellent selection of drinks- definitely something for everyone. Was so relieved to have come after a cold and windy aquarium experience, warmed and cheered us all up! Service was solid, prices reasonable, no complaints.

Out of the many dining options in Mystic, we decided to try the Jelaous Monk. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by an extremely accommodating hostess and welcomed by the open yet cozy atmosphere. We waited about 5 minutes, and once we were seated, our pleasant waitress took our order. I went with the Hans burger, and it was incredibly delicious. I loved all the different flavor profiles of the burgers, and fries were spot on. I highly recommend you give this place a try 👌

Buffalo Chicken Ragoons are an incredible and fun idea we’ve never seen before. The fish and chips was excellent, pastrami was piled high, and the fries were crispy.

Just amazing, we stopped here after a hike and didn’t research it much before going. It was very hot but we opted to sit outside because we had our dog with us. This place is very dog friendly outside. We had the chicken sandwich, cod sandwich, lobster Mac and the huge hot dog. Everyone loved their meal and they had a great selection of beers on tap. We would definitely go back!!

This place definitely exceeded expectations. What we thought was a traditional small brewery turned out to be more of a hub for a bunch of microbreweries. They have a solid selection of beers from local breweries around the area but the food was a great standout. This might sound silly but their French fries are by far the best I’ve had anywhere and their cinnamon sugar pretzel bites was a mound of deliciousness easily more than enough for two and realistically 4 people. We ended up sharing ours with the tables to the left and right of us. 🤤

Came for brunch, the pulled pork eggs bene was so flavorful and delicious. Rueben egg rolls were also great. Really quick and friendly service

I had the chowder and a pretzel charcuterie, both were good. Service was on point for a large party, there was 15-20 people in my party but they were able to get food and drink orders constantly going.

We went here for lunch and overall everything was excellent. We tried Scotch eggs for the first time which was a very unique experience. We had one of the burgers on special which was excellent. So cheesy and juicy and everything you want in a burger, the pretzels are also very good, and the reuben sandwich was top-notch. We would definitely come back.

Felícia was amazing. She was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. Do not leave without getting the corn bread. So good we got an order to go. Be sure to make a reservation, the wait is a little crazy.

Good selection of beer, great atmosphere with heat lamps and fire pits.

Great spot for beer and pretzels after walking the shops. Inside is an open beer hall and outdoor seating has propane fires for warmth.

I always eat here when I'm in the village. The buffalo chicken rangoon appetizer is amazing. While I'm not a drink connoisseur, I do think their alcoholic beverages and specials are amongst the best I've had at a restaurant.

Great atmosphere and amazing food. Huge selection of draft beer as well as other drinks. The iron skillet shepherds pie is absolutely amazing!!

Decided to try them out for a little brunch before heading to the airport. Service was great and food was delicious.

Service was a bit slow when we were there for an early dinner. But the food was amazing. The cornbread, cobb salad, and pretzel charcuterie were all great. Cornbread was even better as leftovers too! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Mystic

Had a 30 minute wait, place was packed, very nice staff and the burger was to die for, it was so good!! Get the CornBread too, it was phenomenal

Food was excellent. We had a pulled pork burger..bratwurst w homemade kraut...wings...handmade chips w dips and buffalo wontons. Beer selection was fantastic. Drinks were great. Service was great until changeover time. We got a little overlooked but for all in all a wonderful experience!

The food was great. Had a bowl of RI Clam chowder, my wife had the New England & they were both really good. The Cuban sandwich on Nan was delicious. The French Fries tasted like they make them themselves, really good. Micheal was a server he was great. Over 30 tap beers to choose from. Would definitely go here again.

The atmosphere was lively, the staff were friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend trying their burgers and craft beer selection. Will definitely be back!

The Jealous Monk offers Gluten-Free and Vegetarian options. There are zero Vegan options, so I created my own meal. I ordered the Monk Beyond Burger with lettuce and tomato stuffed inside a wrap, along with a side of frites drizzled with truffle oil. Everything was incredibly satisfying! Unfortunately, their buns have dairy and eggs in them. I hope they add more Vegan options to their menu in the future. 🤞🏽
