Señor Pancho's of Prospect

We went to Señor ponchos in prospect last night for a purposefully belated Valentines day celebration. Surprisingly, the restaurant was still decked out in Valentine’s Day, decorations, which is kind of cool.
I had to sizzling steak fajitas, which were pretty good. The steak was a little bit grizzly, and the dish only included three of the tortilla wraps. The ratio was a bit off as I had a lot of peppers And onions left when I was through. For some reason, they only used the yellow peppers. The dish included rice and beans. The beans are good, the rice was OK. Wife had tacos and said that they were OK as well. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly, which was nice. The staff did a great job. I like how somebody actually came by to top off our waters on somewhat frequent basis. We had also gotten an order of the fresh made guacamole, which is made right at your table. It was good, but seemed a little bit pricey. Then again, nowadays, everything is very pricey everywhere.
Overall, I’m happy we finally got to try this place as I have driven past here many times over the years.

In total, I’d rate this restaurant a solid 9.75/10. The chimichangas were outstanding and so were the fresh guac and blackened chicken rice bowl. The reason for the points off are the following:

1. The avocado and some other ingredients like the chicken in the rice bowl were a tad salty but it was barely noticeable.
2. The chimichanga’s red sauce was more sweet than tangy, though I would’ve liked the opposite.
3. We went outside into their little bubbles to eat but it was still pretty cold and their heaters weren’t already on (this didn’t deduct points but it was just something I wanted to say)

Once again, as a final note, 9.75/10, would definitely recommend :D

We went on Cinco De Mayo, good crowd, DJ, outdoor seating. Small menu for today. Nice people and nice food. Went few more times. Always good experience in this restaurant.

Goodness! There was no wait time around 5pm on a Saturday. Plenty of parking too. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was nice. The food was delicious! They are not stingy when making drinks. I will definitely go back.

Amazing experience. Heated igloo experience is unique and wonderful. Food is delicious, service is great. Rice bowls are a must. Chips with green hot salsa is mouth watering.

Visited this place for the first time. I will preface by saying I haven't had his Mexican restaurant food in a long time. Enjoyed the fajitas which were flavourful and well-spiced but was disappointed by the mole enchiladas which had chocolate on them and were more sweet than (as I expected) spicy.

The spicy margaritas (they have 2 different kinds) were excellent, and if you want a sweet kind, they have multiple choices as well (strawberry, passionfruit -- both nice).

For dessert, lava cake and banana cheesecake (I know, right?) were actually delectable.

The prices for Mexican food have gone up tremendously, and I was surprised to be paying $13 a drink and $20 a plate in general.

All in all, Senor Pancho's is perfect for someone craving conventional Mexican food.

My favorite gals & I decided to venture out on Cinco de Mayo not realizing how ridiculously crowded it would be. No parking & security…yes security. We were fortunate to find parking spots & then headed into the bar area since wait was over an hour for the restaurant side. Service was incredible considering how busy it was. They were not serving food in the bar area due to the holiday (unknown to us). When I mentioned this to “security” shirt personnel, he took care of it. The manager personally took our food order & we were very happy ladies, can’t have margaritas on an empty stomach! We even got free t-shirts & tequila shots. Food was great, always love Mexican cuisine. Stop by if you’re in the area.

We shopped in are 2pm on Sunday, instant seating. Guessing with all the holiday parties going on, that would be the reason we were seated right away. I had a steak Chimichanga, we had Guacamole, salsa and queso with chips which were really good. Queso was hot, chips were warm. Lol, I was abit shocked as to the 2 large burritos on my plate, I was only able to have one. The plate was hot, food was hot, some too hot that’s totally ok with me. I’d rather have the food piping vs cool. I wanted to leave room for the fried ice cream, which was great by the way. Service was awesome, our waiter was highly tentative, the other waitress helped clear any empty plates w/o asking. I certainly like to see team work in play, in which these 2 have it dialed in. It’s been about 6 years since we were there, after today we will certainly need to visit them more regularly. Great food and drinks to match. A great place to visit on the Cheshire Prospect line for quality and tasteful Mexican dishes. Cheers.

Discovered this gem on the way to Cheshire. On the way back we stopped and it was ABSOLUTELY the best Mexican I’ve had so far! I am vegan and often have to get very basic meals while dining out. This surpassed ! Veggie enchiladas was 10/10. My boyfriend had the street tacos and cleared the entire plate ! Serving sizes were huge ! The service is awesome and attentive and the atmosphere was very inviting and relaxing!

Great place for a family dinner. Kids love this place. Less options for vegetarians but still have options. Drinks are great. The bar really knows what he is making and.how.to.

The food was excellent! They start us off with the chips and salsa as we looked at the menus. Their salsa is made there and the best I have ever tasted. When our orders came, the portions were huge and it was so good. Seating for dinning is seperate from bar area by a half wall. There are different rooms of seating also as well as a banquet room downstairs for private parties. Soft Mexican mustic in the background, full bar available for those wishing to drink, and the best Mexican food I ever had. I am definitely going back again.

First let's start with our waiter Eric aka El Tigre. Perhaps one of the best servers we have ever had. With 12 years service at Senor Pancho's his personality professionalism and knowledge is second to none.
Beautiful atmosphere and the food was great. I had Enchilada Bandera and the mole sauce was amazing made in house the best I ever had. My wife enjoyed the shrimp fajita and said the shrimp was cooked to perfection.
The owner Andy Adames stopped by our table and he was a pleasure to speak with. He clearly cares very much about his guests. But it doesn't stop there as we watched him jump in and help his staff, respect.
Bottom line this place is a gem and we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff it was a great dinning experiance. This is the first ever 5 star rating we have ever given any restaurant. Well deserved

Señor Pancho's offers some of the best portions I've seen in a long time along with excellent waiting service, all at a very reasonable price. While Mexican restaurants can often be hit-or-miss when it comes to the food quality, Pancho's doesn't disappoint with the fajitas coming sizzling hot off the grill. While the complementary nachos and dip weren't the best I've seen - definitely not fresh as could be - there is little room to complain when something comes free.

We love this place!! The margs are awesome (frozen coconut is a favorite) and the outdoor patio is super nice. Food has always been great and everything is super reasonable.

Good sized portions along with fast and friendly service. All the food tasted very fresh. Personally, I was blown away by the brisket empanadas. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

My family and I tried the outdoor experience in the igloo and it was absolutely a 10/10! No additional cost, the staff was fantastic. The food was great as well, there were options for everyone's taste. We had a variety of frozen margaritas, from mango to raspberry and even a regular one and they were top notch! Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures but just know that it's worth a try.
