I used Mortgage Markets CUSO for this newest home. By far the CUSO was a much better experience. Not even comparable. After receiving numerous mortgage refinance offers I decided to give my local credit union a try. An advisor from a large national lender was almost able to match their rate but not quite. He told me that I should also consider customer service and the time it takes to close as part of my decision, saying credit unions are notoriously slow. I disregarded his advice and went with Mortgage Markets Cuso. The facts are that my initial contact was an easy online app and I received a call back almost immediately and their agent was wonderful. All of my interactions with their staff at every step were pleasant and efficient, and I was able to do almost everything electronically. As far as processing time goes my initial contact was Jan 29 and my closing took place on February 27. This is my third mortgage closing and it has been far and away the best experience I've had. 100% recommended thanks to this wonderful staff!

I'm posting this early, a few days before the closing. So far everything has been very smooth and gone well. Cindy was great, very responsive, answered the phone, got me started on the loan within 1 hour of talking to her. Alisa and Jolie moved the loan forward quickly and were also very responsive. If you want actual real people to talk to, instead of just endless unreturned phone calls/emails, go with Mortgage Markets CUSO.

We have been through many mortgages and refinances, and by far this was the easiest. We got all the needed info in securely online, and they took care of everything. Regular updates were provided, next thing I knew we were closing! Appraisal was quick and fair, costs reasonable, customer service exceptional. Highly recommended!

Great response time and quick completion of steps into the closing. I have used other companies in the past on other properties and they have been long, dragged out tasks and take forever to close. Nutmeg and Cuso were quick, fair, easy, and the best rates by far. They had a promo for waived appraisal that saved money and even did a Zoom closing due to Covid. I will use them moving forward and will recommend them any chance I can.
