A real gem! I had been looking around for a place to play some D&D with a new group of folks. After looking around online, I was attracted to the Battle Standard. They had a detailed events calendar & very descriptive write ups on what to expect. After joining the discord server, I was able to see how thoughtfully they put their campaigns together and communicated with the patrons. When I arrived at the store for some gaming, I was immediately impressed with the care the team had put into decorating the store, from the Mimic in the restroom to the TV's with interesting gaming content playing. The DM, Myles, for my session was welcoming, was well versed in the campaign. I had a great time playing with the crew.

Great friendly safe place. The staff is all pretty awesome. The Manager and Owner are good people too. Would recommend everyone go check it out. They had some painting classes. A lot of board games, Magic, tabletop games, and terrain supplies. They also have a very cool mimic monster.

The Battle Standard is a fantastic local game store (LGS) with quite an impressive setup. Large wooden tables with fantastic miniatures
for detailed campaigns run through the center of the store while in the back there is a table for a large DnD group and two long tables for multiple games. They have a solid selection for sealed Magic the Garhering (MTG) products as well as a good stock of singles. Awesome support for miniatures and setups.

There are snacks and refreshments for purchase as well, which is very convenient while playing games or long campaigns.

The owner and staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The game nights I have played Commander there have been very enjoyable.

They do have quite a few events on rotation so check them out!

Staff was great and good conversation. Found some new paints, which I don't need but can't help but pick up. Warhammer heavy but had some malifaux and wargames atlantic stuff. Took a lot of restraint not to pick up those "legally distinct" halfling militia. Next time I'm out this way, I will schedule a visit for a game night there.

The owner was great, super friendly and knowledgeable, the store was amazing, it was big and very accomodating to those who want to come and play or simply sit down and build and paint your figures, and Jared, the owner even helps his customers on teaching them the ins and outs of figure painting. So many details to mention, not enough space, see for yourself.

They are a great place to play RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer, etc… They work very hard to put on great events for the customers, and the events are really fun. They do make you buy something if you want to go to an event though, I would just buy a miniature figurine. And on the topic of merchandise, they have an array of figurines, books, game mats, snacks, and other accessories for you game.

I would quite honestly say that, in my personal opinion, that this is the best table top gaming store in Connecticut. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and is looking to get you a good deal. The store itself is upstanding and has an amazing interior design. There are plenty of tables for table top gaming, a dedicated painting table, and trading card game tables. They have a wide selection of games and products for those games, paints, paint brushes, and any other supply you could think of for making models or miniatures, in addition to having a "re-roll" system where you can sell used miniatures and spare bits, or buy used miniatures/bits from the store that other people have "re-rolled" themselves. Not to mention the vast quantity of individual trading cards they sell for games such as Magic the Gathering and Pokemon. The Battle Standard will always be my number one choice when it comes to table top game stores and if you are ever in the area, it is a must-visit destination for all your tabletop gaming needs.

Jared and his dream that is this store is the ultimate homage to everything that is Magic gathering and Table top gaming, PERIOD! From CUSTOM BUILT GAMING TABLES to the CUSTOM BUILT MAGIC THE GATHERING CARD DISPENSER FILE DŔAWERS, THE BATTLE STANDARD IS THE FUTURE OF TABLE TOP STORES ANYWHERE! When the pandemic is over, and the store opens completely, The Battle Standard is a stop on a vacation trip or a Tabletop vacation in itself to visit and revisit as a amusement stop attraction! Visit soon for all your needs!

This place is top notch by so many measures. It has the best atmosphere for DND outside of an actual 15th century tavern, plenty of space for tabletop games with awesome terrain, easy accessibility being right by the freeway, knowledgeable and welcoming staff, a great and accepting community, and a variety of products available. Only problem is that going to every other game store i see on my cross country road trip is now going to make me miss Battle Standard. Truly a destination location, and something to behold. I already wish I was back there again.

A great game store to both buy products and play games. There are multiple game sessions most days. Convenient access to nearby restaurants.

I bought some card sleeves and was able to play in peace. No katana card sleeves or Lorcana. But that's ok, they're hard to come by. Everyone was nice and able to provide helpful information.

very friendly and helpful staff, awesome looking board sets, very decent but slightly lacking mtg card selection, overall though, very fun place, :EDIT:
previously stated that their magic collection was lacking a little, after coming back in during a time when i was not rushed realized that there was much more to the collection for mtg
in areas i do not play,
have great quantities of miniatures for warhammer, star wars destiny, and similar tabletop miniature games, with great looking art supplies to colour out of box mini’s
what looks like a sizable collection of older board games

Went for an ASOIAF Miniatures Tournament, will 100% be back for leagues, events, game nights, whatever. The atmosphere was amazing, the store was beautiful, the stock was plentiful, & staff & patrons alike were all excellent people. Looking forward to my next visit!

Amazing gaming shop! Very personable folks, they have a lot of different options and are very knowledgeable. They have scenery to use during gaming and base rules - very clean establishment. Even though it is nearly an hour drive, I look forward to coming back again soon!

An absolutely wonderful shop with an incredible selection of games, minis, paints, books, and anything else you'd need to enjoy or jump into tabletop games. The staff and the local gaming community there are very welcoming and super helpful! I was to get a lot of help from both camps on my last trip when I was looking into Conquest, the owner even ended up splitting a starter box with me! Can't wait to get them built and painted so I get some games in with their amazing gaming tables

This place was the nicest of all of the table top game places I have ever seen. Me and my family were shocked how amazing the tables were and the amount of selection and not marked up prices. This place is absolutely amazing. The shop has a dog named Maple that is the sweetest thing ever. The shop workers are amazing, the owner also said he would ship us stuff to FL when we go back and to just give him a call. This place was magical for any table top gamer!
