We got to see an indie film at the Fleur today, which made us both very happy . It's been way too long. It is so good to have this theater open again. If you love film you'll love this place. Four screens and a 1st class concession stand. Great popcorn.

Thanks to the Fridley group for reopening it. The theater is in wonderful shape, and the Irish film we saw was well worth the trip in from Bondurant. It was a hoot.

Thanks again, we went to this theater on our first date 25 years ago, and we'll be back . Again and again.

Always a special place to see a movie. The seats were very comfortable and bathrooms were impeccable. Service was friendly and prices reasonable. Be sure to grab a glass of wine or champagne. It was nice and rather sad though, to have an entire theater to ourselves. American Fiction was about to hit streamers.

If you’re looking for a quaint and unique theater experience, I recommend Fleur! The atmosphere was cinematic, definitely made for film buffs and movie lovers alike! The staff were super accommodating, sweet, and friendly! 100/10! I’ll go here every time I’m in town! Loved it! (There is also nothing like seeing “The Room” on a big screen, even in a pre-movie ad form, so I have to say their before-movie bits were also so entertaining and capturing!) I definitely recommend!

I love it.,, was disappointed for the closure for a couple of years. The big theaters are okay, but I don't need a lounge chair to watch a movie. I love the atmosphere on the floor. And I think it is the best popcorn in town. And, they have caffeine free diet coke. The staff is superb. It is a comfortable, intimate theater. And they play films that are not full of violence and science fiction and space wars. Just not our preference.

Fleur is a wonderfully run indie theatre showing mostly indie and prestige films. They have 4 screens each with nice comfortable (non reclining seats) and a wonderful drink/food menu! The interior decor is very retro- they repurpose film reels for tables! Lots of parking too. Definitely a great moving going experience.

Great, small theater experience! I attended a busy matinee show on a Sunday. Bathrooms were tiny but everything seemed clean and well kept. The "cafe" is more of nice concession stand, make sure to look up the menu before you decide to skip lunch. Beer and coffee were available as well. Will definitely be back!

I remember seeing Murder on the Orient Express in 1974 at was then called the Fleur 4, I also saw Invasion of the Body Snatchers there in 1978, though a lot of that was spent in the lobby waiting for the scary parts to end. That same year in the parking lot, my mom explained that You could probably still go to heaven even if you didn’t accept Christ, if you were a good person. That conversation was created by Heaven can Wait. With the loss of the Sierra, Varsity, and maybe the Fleur, I may never really see a movie again.

For a theater this definitely deserves five stars. It has a really great feel and vibe to it. The workers are very friendly and helpful. The prices are cheaper than most theaters, but even if it were the same price as others this would still get five stars. It's not updated and fancy looking like other theaters, but it is a great environment. It has comfortable seats. They have healthy nutritional options for snacks. I'm sure if you wanted to snack on fresh veggies they wouldn't mind you bringing fresh snacks that they didn't offer. Very nice place. Great environment. Good people.

Great local theater. It has delicious treats, plays the major features and indies that might be hard to find. They host a Oscars party and other events. The seating is classical theater seating (so not with the reclining sofa chairs) but I don't mind. Also the wall art is super cool. Support local!

Its many fans are absolutely right - this is the best cinema in Iowa. A uniquely curated selection of quality films from Hollywood and around the world in comfortable, elegant surroundings. The beer and wine are a cut above, the baked goods are lovely, and the staff are always pleasant and friendly. And yes, it's also a cafe - you're welcome to stop by just for a coffee.

Des Moines’s place to go to watch independent film! The facilities are nice considering it is an independent film theater. Popcorn was great! I’m really just happy that this theater exists to begin with. They have cafe and alcoholic beverages if you’re interested. I haven’t gotten the chance to try so I don’t know how good they are.

Ultra hip, relaxed atmosphere. Film choices were great! Not since leaving Uptown Minneapolis have I found such a cool place. The decor is especially fabulous and swanky. Lovely!

The best place in Des Moines to watch a movie. The food is great and cheap. Even the popcorn is cheap! And don't miss out on the Italian sodas. Nice place to go see a movie with other adults...children are rarely seen. Most impressive - they do not show 20 minutes of commercials and 15 minutes of previews before a movie. Usually just two quick previews. So, get there on time!

This theater has a cool vibe, with a bit more of a nostalgic feeling. The price for everything was comparable if not more reasonable than the bigger theater chains, and the variety of snacks/foods/drinks was good. Very clean and not super busy, either.

This place is totally awesome. A little old school, a little cafe in a theater, a lot of good things.

Service was expedient and efficient. The theater was comfortable with bonus cup holders.

Fact is, if we have a choice we prefer the Fluer to most any other movie house in town.
