Fast friendly lunch service. I had the chicken Florentine and my mother had the chicken marsala with shrimp added. Wonderful flavors and sauces

Came here on Christmas Eve for dinner and it was AMAZING!!! They only had a little bit of the wine i ordered left so they gave me the glass on the house. Staff was super attentive and friendly and prices are great. I had the lobster ravioli and it was just wonderful!! I came from out of state so it was nice to be able to have such a great meal on Christmas Eve.

Luigi's was excellent. I went with several friends and we were promptly seated and served drinks and warm rolls. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent! I had the veal special, which was cooked perfectly, and covered with white wine sauce and various veggies. The pasta was also very good, which was accompanied with marinara.

Saturday night and we had a party of twelve, including three children. We were seated within 10 minutes and drink orders taken quickly. Plenty of bread to share while food order was taken. No child's menu but leftovers are ok. Lots of food, and wonderful flavor. Servers were quick to refill drinks, too wonderful experience.

It has been a very long time since my family and I have been to a restaurant and been 100% satisfied. We loved the food everything was amazing the waitress very nice and didn't miss a beat. The food was to die for from the appitizer to the salad to the main dish and dessert was great! I honestly feel I have found my new favorite restaurant and have nothing but good things to say about this place!! I can't believe tonight wasy first time eating here it definitely won't be my last!

Cute clean classic Italian restaurant. Decent amount of choices on the menu but not overwhelming. There is a particularly good selection of chicken dishes. The side salads are fresh and green, the bread is warm as well as good. My grandson enjoys the spaghetti with marinara and meatballs. I have liked the Chicken piccata and a chicken dish with artichokes and mushrooms in a light creamy sauce.

The food is delicious and the service was top-notch. Big KUDOS to my server, Sarah. I was in Des Moines for business and craving some good homemade Italian food. My preference is always a Mom N Pop place over a chain restaurant. This place was highly rated on Google and I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! It is a true "hidden gem" in that it is a small unassuming building in a sketchy neighborhood. I assure you it is worth the drive!

This place is Des Moines hidden gem! Amazing service, the best homemade rolls you will ever taste and no matter what you order, you will never be disappointed! You feel like you are at your mom and dads house for dinner! The staff makes you feel so warm and welcome and I have yet to decide my go to dish! Simply amazing!!

Food is amazing! Love the quaint atmosphere. The staff is wonderful! Every time we go, the owners always come to our table to ask us how everything is. I highly highly recommend!!

It was my husband's birthday yesterday and I was checking in tripadvisor for some nice restaurants in DSM which we haven't tried. Luigi had a good rating so, i made dinner reservations. I have to admit that when we reached i seriously thought it was a BIG mistake because the exterior of the restaurant isn't too nice. Anyway, still though we will give it a try and I am so glad we did. We just loved it...the food as mentioned by a lot of people is simply amazing. I would highly recommend it and the hostess was just as wonderful.

5 starts from me,. Amazing food,. and the Owner/Chef comes out to each table before you leave to make sure things was good. Luigi is very nice and his staff is also. By looking at the outside most would just drive by , very nice inside .

Very good food. The server was also very nice and accomodating to my 6yr old daughter. My only complaint is the room was very warm. Made me not want to stay very long. Even though our food was so good.

Excellent. Took my wife there tonight for our nine year anniversary and everything was great. They even had a large party there but they made sure we had a great time. Second time going there and still plan to come back again.

Great food. Alfredo sauce is delicious but a touch salty. Red sauce is amazing. Creamy parmesean dressing makes you want to steal a bottle or two for home. Very reasonably priced.

Very friendly staff. Nice clean atmosphere. Food is great with large portions. Priced reasonable. Had a great dining experience. Will be back!

The absolute best lasagna I've had in Des Moines. Luigi's is DEFINITELY worth the trip -- be warned though, they do not sell alcohol. I've heard that you can BYOB and that they don't even charge a corking fee (cannot confirm this, though). Super fair prices, especially considering the quality of the food you get!

What a great experience. Food was amazing would recommend taking a date here prices were very reasonable, and big helpings, and wait staff was very attentive. After growing up with an Italian grandmother it brought back good memories. I will defiantly be back

The food is fantastic! Relaxed atmosphere and family friendly. I manage a dealership on the south side and we send clients here all the time knowing they will have a great meal at a great price.

I've driven past many times and didn't realize they were even there. Don't blink or you'll miss it. Parking had room for maybe 10 cars and it's small inside, maybe 15 tables? The food was amazing. Seriously, give this place a shot.
