Place is always good. People are friendly. Usually go thru the drive up. Unique drinks. They have fresh food. Shakes or smoothies. This place is now part of my morning coffee routine.

Updating my review:
I stop by at least 2-3 times a week. The ladies that work at the window are seriously amazing! They always ask about things happening in my life and it def makes me feel awesome. It makes my mornings awesome! Coffee and kindness goes a long way. 😊☕
I always get their iced vanilla latte and it is so delicious and made perfect every time! There is virtually no wait so it's perfect if you are on a time crunch. Their food is equally as yummy, but you do wait a few mins for it. Worth the wait!

The best coffee shop I’ve attended in the Urbandale area! You will not be disappointed! From a very friendly staff to a delicious sandwich, pastry and a nice cup of coffee! Their variety of tasty pastries is amazing! Just about every day they have something new just depending on what mood you’re in. Their soup of the day is excellent as well. My favorite is the chicken tortilla and creamy potato soup. I can keep going on about this place because that’s just how great it is.

My daughter loves this place, so she brought me here to buy one of their frozen coffee drinks... I'm glad she did, they are awesome! The perfect amount of dark roasted coffee flavor and cream in a thick rich frozen treat! I'm hooked! Now, if she (we) could only remember the name of the drink she keeps buying! I've never tried any of the food, but my brother says the sandwiches are also really good!

If sweet coffee is your thing, Java Joes has you covered. A nice laid back place to get a little work done. They have some good pastries but if none of those tickle your fancy, there is the Donut Hut conveniently located just across the street. For those that live in the area, I could see making this a 1-2 stop on at least a weekly basis.
I stopped here on vacation and witnessed a manager or the owner interacting with his employees, they seem like nice people and that’s always good to see.

Bright, clean. Bakery case always full and looks fresh. Staff seem to really enjoy their work. Free wifi. Outdoor seating. Drive thru. Great coffee and food. Vegetarian and dairy-free options. Busy place but I've never been there when it's packed. Lots to like about this location!

Java Joe's on Douglas is a friendly place filled with great vibes. Their Coffee is fantastic and has a lot choices to match your preferences. The food and Ice Cream they server is amazing. Definitely a place to check out and grab a coffee if you are tired of the line at starbucks. (Sorry no images maybe I'll update this post with images of some food and some of their drinks.) Responding to Lee's review. They were not going cashless. If you had listened to them better, they said they were out of change and working on getting more so they could only take cards until they could get more. They were trying to accommodate as best they could. Make sure you have all the facts before you post a negative review.

The ice coffee was good and strong, and my "build your own" sandwich was prepared quickly and just as I'd ordered. Wonderful fresh bread.

The two sisters that work there are just a joy. Besides the great coffee and food, the welcoming and encouraging atmosphere they create make it a pleasure to stop every time.

Java Joe's has the best breakfast croissants and bagels ever, and favorite latte hands down! They offer several milk alternatives as well, like almond, rice, soy, and coconut.

I love the chai and dirty chai lattes! I've only ever gone through the drive thru but the gals are S U P E R nice ! It's great! The prices aren't too bad either!

The girls that work here are legit the friendliest and best baristas I've met! And their cook makes the best breakfast! My favorite coffee stop!

Excellent service, prices and atmosphere. They made me feel normal when I ordered that ice cream cone at 10:00 am.

There smoothies are so good everytine I get one. This place also has really good coffee at good prices.

Great coffee and a good place to relax. They're homemade baked goods are really good as well.
