I couldn't get into my usual vet and since my partner takes out other cat here, I gave them a call and they were able to see Sherlock the same day.

The care my cat received was excellent and they didn't hesitate to get him in the next day when we started to narrow down what was going on. I appreciate the vets talking through the options and what makes sense to start with, all while being transparent about cost.

His sister (and the rest of the family) was so excited to have him back to his normal self 💗 can't thank y'all enough!

I've been bringing my pets here for several years and have been very happy with the Vet Techs, Veterinarians, and receptionists. They do everything they can for you and will refer you to the next best resource if they can't. I lost a cat to terminal/progressive feline leukemia after lots of help and resources from this hospital They were very caring and supportive through the whole process. I wouldn't trust anywhere else with my pets! Thank you to them!

Absolutely amazed with how quick and effective treatments were for my baby. They correctly diagnosed first appt and took action immediately. Super friendly staff and very reasonable pricing as far as treatment and office visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a trustworthy and personable vet!!

I unfortunately lost my best friend of 9 years this week and it hurt like no other , he was like one of my kids ... we ended up taking him to South des moines veterinary center to ease the pain and they hands down were the best choice I could've asked for ! They took me in the same day i called, When I got there I realized that they were getting ready to close but not at any moment did they make us feel like it... they stayed late, they were very very understanding of what was going on and they didn't rush anything , they even took care of all the arrangements
for me so i didnt have to deal with it at the moment and to top it off when I opened my mail today I received a handwritten letter from them along with my gannicus prints ! Thank you so much for everything! I appreciate it so much! Hands down one of the best teams I've seen

We were fortunate to find such a friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding Clinic. We had to make the most difficult decision a pet owner has to make, to put our little Mitzi to sleep. The Veterinarian was able to help us to come to the only decision we could make with her lymphoma advancing rapidly and affecting her internal organs. We didn’t want our little girl to suffer and I think we achieved our goal. She was also struggling with gastroenteritis and they suggested a diet that gave her a life without diarrhea flare ups. Thanks to all the staff for the support.

All the employees and the doctors at South DM Vet care so much about not only your dog or other pet but about you the owner!! Our Pepper enjoys the doggie daycare so much! They are professionals and can solve all the problems you may have with your loved ones!!

Have been going here since 2016 for my cat Twist. The staff has always been extremely nice to my cat and I. Recently had to put my cat to rest and can’t thank the Veterinarian enough with how empathetic and caring her and the rest of the staff was. Will definitely come back when I’m ready for another furry companion and will always recommend this clinic to any of my friends and family.

These guys are great. Very easy to work with, and they do not push every test in the book to run up your bill as I have experience elsewhere. Easy to schedule appointments, efficient staff. And the friendliest office cat you will ever meet.

This Animal Hospital is amazing! Dr. Austin is a true credit to her profession. Excellent diagnostician and really cares about her patients and clients. Her exotic knowledge is exceptional and she went above and beyond to help my Winnie. I would recommend this hospital as THE number one go-to in the Des Moines area!

No clue how I haven't already wrote a review until my Google map asked me lol. We love this place! They actually take the time out of their day to genuinely care for each member you bring in. They thoroughly go through pricing for everything and what's needed. No surprise added bills or anything. I've had so much trouble with so many other vet clinics. None of them showed care like this or were nearly this nice or thorough. Pricing is very reasonable as well. Thank you all for taking care of each of my babies. All four have visited them and have all been better after. Plus we brought a rescue in today and they handled her with such care. Loved hearing how sweet she was as well in return. Best choice 👌

South Des Moines vet is the best we starting going there 10 years ago after we had our golden fixed at afford a care pet and it got infected. we just loved how the doc’s truly care for our pets and don’t rush us in and out of the office they take the time to answer any questions and for I really like that remind me by text and mail when it’s time for check ups. I won’t go to any other vet for my golden and now our 3yr old German shepherd

Everyone there is absolutely wonderful. The place is clean and smells wonderful. They appreciate that veterinary care is expensive and offer options. They truly love our pets. I look forward to our visits.
