What a great place! You get your food fast, but it's not fast food! The staff here is amazing! Super welcoming and attentive. We got the Not So Hidden Valley Ranch Cauliflower at our server's advice and it was delicious! The tacos and brisket mac & cheese were also top! The Westies for the Besties IPA is now among my favorites! This place was great all around! Wonderful design, too!

First time here, though I've had their beer a lot over the years. We tried basically every DSM-brewed beer they had on tap and they were all solid. But my wife's fish and chips were amazing (incredibly crisp but also perfectly moist, well-seasoned) and my umami burger was great as well (loved the parmesan crisp on the top). I'd go back just for food, regardless of what's on tap. Only criticism is that we sat in the dining area (versus the beer hall) and it could be a little more inviting; maybe some more noticeable music and dimmer lights would help.

We took our dogs so we sat outside. The wait staff was amazing and brought bowls of water multiple times for them. Everything came out quickly with no problems. I enjoyed the Asian wings and the seasoned fries.

Stopped in to check out the new space and have a beer. We just ordered at the counter. They have a nice patio and plenty of indoor space as well. We have not had a chance yet to try any food but will check out more next time.

I can’t wait to enjoy this place during the summer! With the PERFECT location right off the bike path and so close to the baseball stadium I can totally see my family coming back to enjoy this place all year round. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Staff way attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was awesome! We ordered spinach artichoke dip, blackened salmon street tacos, and the umami burger. All of the above get 5/5 stars from the whole group. Coconut migration was the favorite amongst the beer drinkers, so try it while it’s available! For the non alcoholic bev I highly recommended the Lil Sweet. I was stoked to see that they included an N/A drink list. This place would be excellent to meet family and friends. It’s cool to see a brewery with elevated food and an area for kiddos to play. I can’t stress how awesome the atmosphere here is. Look forward to going back soon.

First time here. It was great. I think the guy who helped us’ name was Armando or something (I’m bad with remembering names). Had a lot of fun here. I’m newer to going to breweries but this one is definitely one of my favorites. 10/10

Very nice brewery! Can't wait to sit outside, very nice area! Great food menu along with the added seasonal items! New beers coming along with the regular ones and a nice selection of cocktails for those that don't drink beer! I don't remember what the beer with the passion fruit is called but it is very good 👍!

My boyfriend and I went during the blizzard this weekend and we had the best experience. Everyone was more than welcoming having us in that ugly weather. The cook went out of his way to stay open a little longer because of the weather and the bartender and host was very kind. 100/10. The food and beer was great.

Great atmosphere and a fun patio set up, especially in the warmer months. They do have fire pits outside for those chilly evenings too. Generous portions and tasty food!

Food was on point, simple but very good. The craft beer is amazing and talk about a wide selection for every palate. And the wide open spacious layout of the seating inside and outside is phenomenal!

Individuals in our larger group come and go at different times, which is tough for less experienced servers. Ours took it in stride and kept everything straight. The food we sampled was very good. I especially like that the umami burger tastes great, but doesn’t ooze toppings on your hands or clothing as you eat. Brussels sprouts are amazing. Beer selection is fantastic. Try the salted chocolate chip cookies (baked to order) and/or the cheesecake with raspberry compote! They even make their own sprinkle blend for soft serve. As others have noted, there are a couple of drawbacks at present—chiefly the lack of parking and the noise level. We were told they’re working to remedy both situations. They seem very receptive to feedback and eager to improve.

Really lovely place to grab a great beer and hang out. The patio seating is extensive. We loved every beer we tried. The service was good & we never felt rushed.

Quite a transformation of an old tire shop, very unique and vintage building they added on to and refurbished to accommodate their business.
They have incredible craft beer - several types and styles. Tip the Cow has been my favorite for years, it's even better on tap.
They have a couple different outside patios, one side was obviously allowed to bring your canine friend. Our waiter brought the little guy a dish of cold water - that's 5 stars in my book.
The food we had was good, beer was very good, staff were very good, atmosphere is very good.... obviously I do recommend for date night, or dinner.

Food was incredible and fast. Consistent and delicious. Brussel sprouts were better than I expected. Beer was good and strong. Straight up blasted my face onto the floor this stuffs good

Spacious area located just north of the river. Huge open areas both inside and out, with outside having yard games to play like connect 4, jenga and others. Service was very quick (we just had one beer) and friendly. The food menu looked decent, and from what we saw being brought out looked good. Beer selection was moderate.

My wife and I visited with our two kids on a Saturday for lunch. This was right after their first Friday night open and they had sold out of a lot of food the night before so unfortunately we were unable to eat there.

That hardly affected the experience we had. Service was still excellent, the atmosphere is amazing, and it may be one of the most ‘kid friendly’ breweries in Des Moines. We will most certainly be back and look forward to trying out the food next time.

Outstanding staff. Beer is always good. Food looks good, never eat there tho. Always a good time.

Good food, great beer, and service was great.
One side note: There are two patios. We seated ourselves, as instructed by the sign, on the patio out front. (The only one we knew of, at the time). Apparently, the self seating patio is out back. This was slightly confusing.
