Latin King Italian Dining

We went out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and everything at The Latin King was just amazing. The steak deburgo melts in your mouth, and the Valentine’s Day drinks were the perfect addition to dessert. I’ve seen other people mention it’s expensive, but to us it was well worth the extra money. Our server was incredible, and we had the best evening. Hoping we can come back to celebrate next year!

Came here for the first time with some friends for my birthday. The staff was very warm and friendly. Our server took the time to answer questions about the menu and wine list. The food was served fairly quickly and at a proper temperature. I had their Trio and found it to be bursting with flavor but not over powering. For what we ordered, including wine and appetizers, the total bill was reasonable. The biggest surprise came when we were leaving. As I came around the corner, the staff sang happy birthday to me.

Went here for my birthday last night. And holy cow was it good. Bartender made the best old fashion I've ever had. I got the Steak De Burgo and it was one of the best steaks I've had. Top it off with good proportions, nice big sides, and an amazing staff. Just be aware it's pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Our waitress was awesome. She was very helpful. Food was very good. Got it in a timely manner. Will go back again.

Amazing pasta. I had the chicken spiedini with alfredo pasta and it was alright, but the carbonara my friend had was amazing! The tiramisu is splendid as well

We've visited a couple of times on Satuday nights. Food and service were excellent both times! My husband loves the steaks and the pastas. The Gamberi Diavlo is awesome!

The appetizer breading and pasta were all so fresh. Robert provided us with respectful and prompt service. Thank you for the enjoyable dining experience!

Traveled to Iowa for the annual state fair and heard that this was a regional favorite. Tenderloin steak drenched in butter, garlic and mushrooms. Not cheap, $39, but comes with salad and a side. Cooked perfectly, tender and delicious. Good splurge!

Party of two and got seated right away at 6pm on a Saturday night.. Food was excellent and very delicious. But even better was the service. Our waitress Margaret was on point and very attentive to all of our needs. But the most impressive thing that I saw, was the table turn around. The bussers had the tables cleared and set in under 3 minutes for new customers to be seated. From what I witnessed every single person makes this restaurant what it's. Job well done Latin King!

We have visited Latin King multiple times over the years, and our last visit was fantastic.

I had the steak deburgo and it was delicious. The salad before was terrific with the house dressing. My family was very happy with their food too. Service is always good and we always leave happy.

Don't get me wrong the service was great but there is always room to be better. The food was amazing, hot, fresh, and was quick to arrive at our table! This was the first actual time I have dined here, I do think I will be back for another visit at some point!

We asked for a large party reservation and was blown away by the experience! Privacy was available. Timely service, amazing staff, and quality food. Everyone let smiling with full hearts. Couldn't have found a better place to celebrate!

In from St Louis for work and had a co worker recommend Latin King. Was not disappointed! Started with the sampler. Onion rings were breaded and flavored fantastic. Not battered but light breaded and full of flavor. So was the toasted rav. Not what I was used to but delicious. Lasagna and sauce were terrific as well. Our waitress was on it she said she had been ther 20+ years but another was worked there even longer. Everything was great!!

We hosted a holiday lunch for our office today! With 35 people, they gave us the private area in the back.

Toasted ravioli, onion rings, and cheese sticks to start.

Chicken Spedini and even the fried chicken was perfect!
We highly recommend Latin King for you Holiday get together!

Went as part of a medium sized business group and noticed many other large groups inside. Despite the delays with our drinks and food, including being out of calamari, our waiter was always on point and incredibly helpful / apologetic. All of the appetizers, entrees, and desserts were phenomenal. It was loud inside but that's to be expected with the several large groups I observed.

Stopped in on a Wednesday night in April with my GF. Even though Bobby is no longer around the place is still keeping pace with his frenetic energy and consistency. That is the key right? Consistently excellent each time.

Had the chicken spedini(amoggio style) and it is still amazing and the value is excellent in my opinion. Side of pasta. Nice little salad. Chicken spedini and 23.00. GF had the same and we asked for her pasta to be Penne Regine style and Molly gladly was able to get that done for us.

It’s just a Des Moines staple to me and so glad it is living up to it legacy. Well done crew! RJC.

This is our special place to have an intimate delicious meal. Whether it's a birthday or anniversary we look to Tursis for an amazing meal. They never disappoint.

We went to Latin King last night and oh my goodness was nothing short of spectacular. My wife and I shared, she got the Steak de burgo and I ordered the Chicken Spiedini Our waitress was attentive and sweet and you could tell she loved her job and did it very well. The drinks were delicious the company was great! We opted for the appetizer sampler and it was delicious! It had onion rings, toasted raviolis and cheese sticks. My favorite I don’t know.. all amazing! Way to go Latin King!

Food was amazing, service was amazing and they even have musician playing. Very amazing place, will definitely go back.

Six of us first timers here- All plates emptied- we had to order dessert to go in fear we would miss something!

Not one negative factor here. We are all absolutely astonished. Seriously, the food was so good we cannot find words worthy enough for this review. The service was on point, ambiance legit, and so classy it makes you feel like your in a movie.
