Cafe Diem

It’s a jazzy little function. Great place for breakfast, or to study. They play jazz music and it isn’t noisy in there. I come here for their roasted coffee beans. They also offer almond milk, coconut milk, and soy milk. They roast their own beans in their shop and you could smell it from the moment you enter. I highly recommend this cute breakfast and coffee joint.

Nice cozy cafe I enjoyed my latte and my wife was really happy they still had pumpkin spice latte! The breakfast burrito was really good and the hash browns were cooked perfectly. Definitely a good stop for breakfast/brunch!

Didn’t know until recently that Cafe Diem offered such great breakfast! Very large portions and exceptional taste. The cinnamon roll pancakes were fluffy and the whip cream has to be the real deal cause it’s texture and flavor is top notch. Food was ready quickly and served perfectly to order. We’ll definitely be back!

One of our favorite coffee and breakfast places to go. We have met the owner twice and she is great about connecting with customers. New and delicious items are circulated into menus to create more variety.

I LOVE Cafe Diem! Every time I go I feel like I’m at home. Tabitha is an amazing barista/host and always helps me with getting a high chair and bringing my drink over. She is very kind and welcoming and makes me want to keep coming back!! I would recommend Cafe Diem to anyone!

The pancakes are delicious and a decent coffee selection. Everytime I've been in the girls have always been really sweet. Definitely has that nice cafe feeling to it if you want to sit down, relax and have some breakfast.

If you're in a hurry they have a selection of pastries ready to go, a nice option for a quick on the way to work coffee stop (and a drive-thru option).

Another cute touch is the display of artwork by local artists around the cafe, with some of them for sale. Definitely some local talent that will look great in the new house!

I loved it here!!! First, the sign outside is the cutest. Staff is super friendly, the owner is helpful when it comes to ordering, and they make sure you’re satisfied with your food/drinks😄 also the bourbon caramel cold brew❤‍🔥 I’ll probably stop back here every time I’m in Ankeny😊

So good! A nice place to do some studying/work and the food was great! The employees also gave good honest recommendations of dishes as well as how much to get. Definitely adding to my list of places to recommend.

Nice atmosphere, great breakfast sandwiches, I got sun dried tomatoes sauce, loved it. And the best chai latte I've ever had. Average prices. Will definitely be back

Cute and friendly coffee shop with lots of options to choose from. Lots of indoor seating and natural light. Great place to sit and work or hang out and sip and talk.

This is the best place, for me, to have a coffee anywhere in the state of Iowa. I can have a coffee casually sitting on the couch, meet with friends or my groups in the meeting room or the long table, I can sit at the bar top with my cappuccino, or have a sit down at the booth or tabletops.

I believe it’s female owned and operated, so plus one for female empowerment in business.

Every one of the baristas I’ve ordered from and talked to have been super friendly.

This place is a must try for breakfast/brunch! I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie & nutella pancakes. Both were delicious! Great service & friendly staff, as well. Overall, I had an awesome experience here.

I love this place......The wifi is good, coffee is great, and staff is a perfect ten.. The manager Dixie and the staff are truly the best ever. And I can tell you they are not overpriced, especially if you compare to Starbucks... They even have a room you can use for free if reserved for a meeting etc. and the turkey club is legit !

Nice place to grab a bite and get some work done thanks to their WiFi. Had the chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Breakfast burrito was delicious & huge. Big enough for two people for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and the service was great!

I just wanted to give a shout out to the lady working the drive-thru window today I did not catch her name but she was wearing a green shirt and I just wanted to compliment her on her kindness and positive attitude

They have vegan/vegetarian options for milk, also very professional and drinks were spot on and not messy at all like Starbucks has been lately. Also tastes better than Scooters who have been hit or miss lately. Seems that cafe diem has better baristas than Scooters.

Superb options for networking meetings, catch up with friends, work time, Weekend breakfast, plus a convenient drive thru.
My favorite is the breakfast platter, everything bagel sandwich, and chicken salad croissant. Staff helps with drink suggestions that expands my appreciation of coffee.
