Tacos La Papa

This is my favorite taco spot in Des Moines and probably has the best torta around. They have a great selection of meats for all food. Never had a bad meal after eating here the last few years. They are fast and the food is always piping hot.

Just located in a empty parking lot

The atmosphere is what it is

Nobody is going to bother you

Everybody is there to enjoy food

The menu is in english and Spanish very easy to understand and the guys there are good guys

You will order your food get a pager

You can go wait in your car or they do have a couple picnic tables in electricity for lighting if you go later in the day

I don't think there are any bathrooms or caibos available

You will receive your food probably within 8 to 10 minutes depending on how full the parking lot is

Definitely worth the drive and wait

Everyone loved it all. Real hot sauce. Amazing taco truck tacos. Several choices of meats. Fresh tasting. Berria Quesadilla superb. Tortas are large.

Great experience, hot food, waited like five min. They take credit cards! That’s a plus, I didn’t have cash. I had the beef burrito no beans. Great work guys.

the burritos are top notch and tried the tacos today and just the same. put a little red hot sauce and they were perfect, they left my lips tingling. got to try something new next time!

I love coming to this food truck, food bus for their always delicious steak tacos. Always busy, but they do a great job getting the food out to the right customers and make us wanting to come back for more and more. Good spot on a busy intersection by two schools. I've never had a bad experience here. Please check it out and support local businesses like this amazing food truck. Good prices too and you get a buzzer when you're food is ready.

I had a chicken quesadilla yesterday at the Latino Heritage Festival and it was out of this world good!!! Best quesadilla I have ever had!

I love coming to this tacotruck. They always know what I want and their food never taste stale, or old (like in a warmer) ever! Everything is always fresh and they always garnish my food with that awesome hot pepper! The prices on their tacos are fair and they always prepare my food fast. I probably eat at this specific tacotruck once if not twice a week because of the taste. Thank you for the awesome tacos!

Moved to Des Moines from Chicago and it’s been difficult to find good food places, especially authentic Mexican food. This taco truck is easily one of the best food places in the whole city. 🔥

BEST NEW TACO PLACE IN DES MOINES!! All their meats are perfectly fried and seasoned, especially the adobada and al pastor!! And their salsas are perfect spice levels

I order there food off of uber eats pretty often and every time the food is great!!! There salsa are good and I love that they give out cucumbers instead of radishes
