Ewing Park

I love visiting this park. Great playground, walking trail, and for the cyclist they have off road trails that and can also be used for hiking. Bring mosquito repellent if you are going deep in the woods. There is also a boxcar track but not sure if it's still used.

One of the most beautiful parks I've ever visited. Acres of lilac bushes on hills rolling down to a wooded area.

There was a random naked boy in the creek, it was crazy. The trails are beautiful.

Beautiful park great to take your dog .Great playground for the kids the back story on the playground is very sad but it's very nice. 🐕🚴‍♂✌😷

We love the trails. Lots to imb and we'll constructed bridges for crossing the stream theat meanders through the wooded area.

Great disc golf course. One of the best in town

Great wooded park for Disc Golfing. 9 holes on the front of the course and 9 more on the back half. Park has multiple trash receptacles for dropping off your beverages or wrappers after your done. Very fun course to throw. I highly recommend playing this course.

Played the disc golf course, only made 11 holes due to weather but had a great time with the family!

Beautiful park, excellent but difficult disc golf course

Ewing Park is amazing and a blessing to be able to visit. I have fond memories of flying kites there as a child on Mother's Day. In my twenties I began enjoying disc golf there. Now I love going whenever I get a chance to walk the dogs while I play an unofficial round. With Easter Lake and the dog park nearby, this area of Des Moines allows you time to reflect on how good life can truly be. 5 stars.

Establish in 1840 to memorialize the previous year’s war with Missouri, Ewing Park is a pearl in the crusty and broken shell they call Des Moines. In 1839, one brave troop of St. Louis militia attempted a pincer movement formation into the heart of the corn state. Due to fermented mulberries and lack of support, it failed. But the handsome mulleted “show me’s” were absorbed into the community by Southside teenage widows. To this day their decedents refer to soft drinks as soda and hold a popular scavenger hunt at the state fair.

This park is very big and has many different things to offer depending on what time of year you're going. The disc golf course is amazing, there's a BMX trail, a downhill Derby track, playgrounds for kids, and a nice trail to walk your dog.

This is a great park. Lots of equipment for kids to play on and seating for adults supervising them. Plenty of green space, my God Children love coming here.

Such a great park. With lots of room for one to partake in a plethora of activities. It's worth it just to go and walk the trail throughout the park just so one can see first hand all the things there are to do. Great frisbee golf course, BMX trail, downhill derby course, playgrounds, hiking, bathrooms, adjacent to the Easter lake trail, following a pretty creek. I'm pretty sure it's called Yeader Creek? If I'm mistaken my apologies. But I'm pretty sure the trails will take you along it 😂. Again I think it's definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a park that offered a lot of fun.

Amazing mountain bike trails!

If you came for an awesome disc golf course of just to walk around or even for a simple picnic this place is amazing. The dic golf course is awesome with a wooded in front nine and an open back nine. It's a decent challenge but at an easy pace. The park is pretty huge so if you want to have a picnic away from people it's pretty easy. On top of all this the park is beautiful and just an overall good place.

Beautiful park with many different options for the whole family. The frisbee golf course is great for beginners and advanced players. The playground is big enough for everyone on the family to play at the same time! Not to mention the trails and all the beautiful scenery.
