A&W Restaurant

Stopped by for the A&W while traveling and the Long John silver was a bonus. The entire staff was super friendly the food came out nice and hot. Ordered the cheese curds, fish, chicken sliders everyone enjoyed their food.

This store has really stepped it up and has become a better place to dine, the service is excellent and the people want you to enjoy your meal and visit

This is actually a A&W and Long John Silvers. So it has some expanded options available. The food was good, the staff were friendly and the service was quick! And the best part was when the great gal that was at the register offered for us to have our drinks in the iconic A&W glass root beer mugs that we're chilled in a fridge below the counter!!! WHAT!?!? OH YEAH! It was pretty awesome to have something so classic in this world of plastic cups! Our crew loved the food and it tasted great. So if your looking for a little nostalgia, stop by, I should really say stop in! To get the full effect!

Been going to this location since I Wada little boy. I've seen all of the changes. I'm almost 50 & still Love the atmosphere., rather I'm with family & friends or by myself. Gr8 food...Love the shakes & Long John Silvers collab...

They sell Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake!!! The food is always hot & fresh, place is clean, & workers are always doing a great job!

Yum, fish, yum shrimp abd super yum rootbeer! Love the combo places like this! Nice staff too!

This 2nd visit was Long Johns Silver. We dined in. Staff was nice. Food was fresh.

Rootbeer float wasnt too bad. People were friendly. Glad I stopped for a treat before heading home.

Great food, fast, and friendly service. Papa Burger is a great choice! Fish and chicken is always a great option too! A&W Root Beer is the 10/10 winner though.. MUST GET!!

Classic A&W Feel also serving LJS. Service was quick. Food properly prepared and met expectations. Staff keeps tables clean quickly after customers leave.
It was nice having the food delivered to my table.
It can be a little tough getting back out onto University Ave if your heading east, but the location is easily seen from the road.

Root beer floats at home just never taste as good as at A&W. I don't have one near me and was driving through Des Moines and was so glad I remembered I had been craving a root beer float. Was tasty as always. My friend also enjoyed her strawberry shake. The cheese curds were freshly fried and good as well.

Better than expected. Fast friendly service. Fairly priced and combined with Long John Silver's. Makes a great combination to have fish and chips with creamy old fashioned root beer.

The your man was very helpful. The last 2 times I went thought drive thought and ordered a l2 I got fish chicken and shrimp which is a l3. I went inside this time. They also let me know it would be about 5 min for my meal because the was short a piece of chicken

I was actually blown away by the cleanliness and all around enjoyable experience I had here. Ever since A&W began sharing restaurant space with Long John Silvers across America I have been unable to find a quality "A Dubs" until now... Thank you, my root beer float and chili cheese fries were a awesome.

This is an A&W, Long John Silvers, combo store. I visited for the LJS food on 2 occasions; dining inside and using the drive through.
(My review is based on other comparable chain, fast food stores.)
I was impressed by the quick service and attentive staff behind the counter. Usually, fast food places are bare bones on service, and lack any real effort. Surprisingly, this place was well staffed on my visit, and they walked the dining room helping customers. I understand why it was so full that day.
The food was made quick, served properly, and came out as expected. I odered the fish and chicken combo meal; greasy battered fish was exactly what I wanted for my "fish and chips" craving.
Their restrooms were clean as was the dining area. Easy parking outside and a convenient location off a major road were a plus.

Good service they care about you food is hot and fresh Root beer is superb on tap.

Totally awesome. Had a great burger, and a&w soda, also had hush puppy...because of Long John silver connect to A&w. Helpful staff. Will go there again.

I stopped by to get get some chicken and fish to take to Pella for my elderly parents who love LJS. They had to cook more chicken and gave me a free float while I waited. It was not that long a wait and amazingly, the food was still warm when I got to Pella about 50 minutes later.

I love this place. Their root beer in a frosty mug is as good as ever. They go great with their loaded chili dogs or any of their other delights.

Only Long John Silvers that I know of within about a 50mi radius of me... I've loved this place since I was really little. I'm just glad there's still one around for me to continue enjoying after 30 yrs!
