Fantastic crew! Helped get the camper back in shape, knowledgeable and willing to teach me more about the components that failed and why they failed. Standard priced for emergency roadside repairs, but above standard customer service! I forgot the name of the gentleman in the van, but I appreciate his hard work and his skillset.

Simply amazing service. Fast, reliable, available and affordable. We had a brake down in the area, driver ran over the tire and knocked down the air pressure valve. Guys knew exactly what the problem was even over the phone, came fast, got the part, replaced in 15 min. Billed over the email using the most comfortable payment platform. Despite the fact that someone from the DOT called them without letting our company know and the same time we used the service so there were two guys coming - they didn't charge double. Real team work and perfect service and communication.

P.S. I called 5 services in the area that was recommended, but they were either busy, scheduling the repair for the next day, or quoted us sky high. Guys make it done in an hour and gave a great deal.

I don’t leave reviews very often, but the level of service I received warranted a positive review. I’m not surprised at all by the number of happy customers after my personal experience. These guys got my dump truck up and running in no time. Very thankful I found these guys. I’ll be referring all my friends and family here.

Everything is legit, the owner and his team took care of my trailer properly, I am very satisfied with their service. My fellow trucker, if you need some mechanic job done, his the right person, call him and he will take care your truck and trailer. Thank you all for your service, I really appreciate that.

When traveling in my 2000 Coachmen Mirada RV through Ames Iowa, my chassis air conditioner compressor pulls started making grinding noises. I had a feeling that the bearings were failing. I was 2.5 hours from home. After calling several RV shops and the local Ford dealerships, none of them did chassis work. Luckily I found A&A on google and called and explained my predicament. Sonny said no problem he “had a guy” who could do the work. He put me on the phone with Dwain, and Dwain instructed me to drive to a truck stop 1.5 miles away from my location and he would be up to assess my situation. This was on a hot 94 degree day during RAGBRAI when 50,000 people had converged on Des Moines that day. Dwain fought through the traffic and road closures to get to me in an hour. He confirmed my suspicion that the AC bearings were going out. Then the challenge to find parts was on. Being a 23 year old RV this turned out to be tough. He returned a couple hours later with a new AC compressor and lying on the concrete in the sweltering heat removed my old compressor and indeed the bearings were shot. You could easily wiggle the pulley back and forth by hand. Problem is, the new compressor wasn’t a match, so the search for parts continued. Dwain called all over Ames and Des Moines to parts stores and none had any in stock and it would at least be 24-48 hours to source one. Determined, (at 9:00 at night), Dwain found a bypass pulley that we both had searched online, and thought would be a Good alternative to get me back on the road. He left to get the part and came back an hour later with the bypass pulley. Do both of our chagrin, this bypass pulley was not a correct fit to line up properly with the serpentine belt. So now we decided to call it a night and hope for better luck the next day. My wife and I and our puppy ran our generator and roof AC and slept in the RV. The next day Dwain went to every parts warehouse in the area and after hours of no luck finally found a new compressor that could me modified with my old compressor’s manifold for the AC hoses. He arrived in the evening and we both hoped and prayed this would work. After swapping the manifolds he began the reassembly. Thankfully everything lined up and Looked good. I was happy to just be able to be able to start and drive the RV and wasn’t worried about recharging the Freon to get have working air conditioning, but he also had all of the equipment to recharge my air! So.... At midnight we turned on the engine and turned on the AC and nice cold air was blowing through my hair! I was so impressed and grateful for Dwain’s hard work, dedication and determination to fix my RV!! His knowledge and skill set were amazing! He even gave me pointers on how to take care of my 1 year old new set of tires to get the most life out of them and assured me that my serpentine belt looked good as well as my alternator and water pump. So after 26 hours in the parking lot ,and lots of concern if we were gonna get back on the road again, I thanked Dwain and we hit the road and drove an hour away with a smooth running cold air conditioning RV. If you are ever in need of “A Guy” to come to your rescue, call A&A and ask for Dwain to come to your rescue. As far as I’m concerned he’s the one man “ A Team!!”

Later that week I realized that I needed my trailer inspected for it’s annual inspection. Nicholas came this time and found a few lights that needed replaced and some brake pads and drums that need replaced. I also asked him to fix a fog light on my tractor. Nicholas drove all the way to my house - 25 minutes from the metro, so I could be home for the evening while he made repairs and finished the inspection paperwork. The truck was ready to roll when I woke up at 4:30 a.m. to start driving.
Sometimes things happen and when I got to the dock later that morning, I realized that the front quarter portion of my plastic Volvo bumper that housed the fog light was missing. I had an old aftermarket plastic piece there and it apparently wasn’t originally fastened with all of the correct fasteners. When Nicholas heard that the piece was missing, he immediately went and purchased a new piece, painted it properly to the color of my truck and drove all the way back out to my house the next day and put the new assembly on my truck.
I grabbed my checkbook to pay him as I had told him I would happily buy the part, but Nicholas would not take any money for the part or the labor to install it.
You don’t find people like this in the trucking business.
A and A is not just a great locally owned company, they truly are a part of my trucking team and I highly recommend their honest and reliable service!

I had a repair done by A & A on 16 April 2023. Had an issue with coolant hoses. David came out to my truck, got the hoses replaced, and had me moving quickly. Friendly and polite attitude which is very much appreciated in this day and age! 5 stars, highly recommend them for your diesel repair needs!

Called Sunny, he was professional and got his technician within an hour to help my driver. They found the problem right a way and even repaired an issue that they found on the truck and prevented us from another breakdown. Fair prices and convenient payment. Wish all road service guys are like this guys! Great Team, and I hope I hope if my truck brakes down, to me in their service area!!!

This guy did not come to our town and help us, he did more than that, he called us BACK to help us out with our problem while also talking to others and making sure we had the right information to boot.

These guys were FANTASTIC!! Blew a tire on our 34’ RV while coming through on a drive. Stranded on the side of the road 5am Sunday morning and couldn’t find help until I called AA! The owner did not hesitate to send help, and once his guy (joe) came, he took care of everything! Unbelievable service, Joe was 11/10 outstanding! We made it home safe and dealing with the owner was great too, these guys were just so friendly and helpful, I cannot say enough how thankful I was to have their help.

Had a breakdown, spoke to Sonny. He was understanding to my situation. Not only is he very knowledgeable, there were several instances where his honesty, and integrity shined through. Just genuinely good people that enjoy what they do and are good at it. If you need mechanical assistance, call here first, and you won't need to make any other calls. He'll get you fixed, at a reasonable price, with high quality work.

Sonny responded after my call with parts in hand on a Sunday afternoon. The repair took about 3 hours & I was back on the road. Thank you Sonny for your demeanor & support for our veterans & first responders.

Had a busted emergency airline that kept my trailer stationary. Adam from A&A came out within an hour and hooked me right up with a replacement and got me on my way. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and had excellent attitude despite working in the Iowa cold. Thank you again, Adam.

I had an air supply issue while driving and lost all pressure in my secondary tank. I called one company and they refused to send anyone out. I called A and A and he walked me through potential problems. I sent pictures so that we were on the same page. He explained to me how to fix the problem. I offered to pay for his knowledge and assistance. He refused and told me to have a good night. I will definitely make them a first call. Not very often to find upstanding people in today's society.

We had a brake chamber leaking air and it locked up our Trailer at 3:30 am. So I called everyplace that said 24 hr service. Sonny was the only one who answered at just after 4 am and although he did not have his service truck because his technician Joe took it home he was able to call him and get Joe to meet us at Loves in Clives. We never mentioned we are an Expedited team and have a time sensitive load. We didn't even have to. Joe was on it immediately. He got the brake chamber fixed and we were back on the road about 6:30. The bill was fair and the service was professional and fast. Thank You Sonny and Joe. I hope I never have to call you again but if I'm in the area and need service again it will be you! These guys are awesome. I got a flat tire on my Lincoln sedan at 7:50 at night in single digit temps. I had my spare but not the tools needed to replace and every tire shop was closed. The person I spoke with on the phone (owner maybe?) said he didn’t want me to have to pay their service call rates for a flat tire on a car, so he sent out Jeremiah and told me to tip him what I thought he deserved. He was there to help us in less than 30 minutes and had the spare on in no time. Top to bottom outstanding service.

Blew a radiator hose in the middle of nowhere heading south down I35. Sonny sent Don to come fix me. It was Friday afternoon and they were covered up. As soon as he could get there Don fixed me right up. He even stayed kinda late and got me going. They were very fair on all fees. I will use them again if needed when in Des Moines area. Great people!

Very reasonable price..(same as 1 hour in the local shop before there extra fees). Quick, but quality work! If you are in Des Moines and need a repair, this is the guy to call!! Thanks so much for treating us right. We don't often sew that in this industry anymore.

Sonny was outstanding. Honest, skilled, hard working and reasonable. This is my go-to guy in Des Moines from now on. Came out within 5mins on a Sunday right before midnight. Quick fix and gave me a lesson. Highly recommend!
